"Extremely disappointed "
The toilet in our room blocked up second day we were there. Staff are extremely rude and arrogant. Rooms are overpriced and not nice. Breakfast is average for the price, wouldn't recommend this place if you are staying in Alice Springs.
"Good value in a handy location."
This is a big, fairly old motel-style place, but it is in reasonable condition, clean, with pleasant staff, and offers excellent value for money. It's not far from the centre of town or the Olive Pink Botanic Gardens. Parking can be at a premium if the place is full but we always managed to find a spot within the grounds. One morning I had no hot water, but on mentioning it at reception, I received a gracious apology and a phone call was made immediately to rectify. The bathroom had a long useful bench beside the basin, something that is usually lacking in most hotel/motel accommodation and a full width mirror above. We were there for six nights and would be happy to return.
My husband and I stayed at the Ibis Styles in Alice Springs on one of the busiest weekends in Alice Springs. We could not find a room, caravan site or cabin in all of Alice Springs. We called the Ibis Styles resort and got the last room which they held for us until we got there. The staff were friendly, the rooms clean and the whole area was clean and tidy and had a casual resort feel about it, We both had a steak dinner at the restaurant which was cooked to perfection. I would recommend staying at the Ibis Styles in Alice Springs
We stayed here for one night after arriving in Alice. Was almost fully booked by car enthusiasts for Red Centre Nats, which was fine and we had no problems. Room clean, had a double and single bed which was ideal for two friends. Bathrooms dated, had a leaking toilet so had water on the floor from the systern. Pool looked inviting, too cold for a swim when we were there. Fridge and coffee facilities in room. Staff were friends and welcoming, gardens typical of desert gardens.
I have stayed in many Ibis hotels, this one is definitely no credit to the brand. I was part of a group, staying there both before and after our trip to Uluru. So I have seen plenty of their rooms and they were all appalling. At the second check-in we were given a dirty room that had obviously not been cleaned at all. After complaining about it, we were given a different one that was unfortunately hardly better. The floors were so dirty that the soles of my feet were black after having a shower andjust walking the few metres to my bed. The shower curtains, the bedlinen, the towels, ... had all stains. The balcony was simply a disgrace. The water in the shower could not be turned of properly, which is not only annoying, but also very wasteful in a country that lacks water anyway. This was true in all the rooms of our group, so the hotel seems to have a serious problem with their plumbing. The staff was out of their depth in basically every encounter we had with them, up to the point that the waitress in the restaurant did not even know what dish she was carrying to the table. Breakfast itself was ok, but the staff should really clear the tables from time to time. I have seen guests doing that in order to be able to sit down. There was one guy at reception (and at the bar), who was a positive exception, but especially the female staff was very unmotivated and not really friendly. I do appreciate that it must be hard to find properly trained staff in such a remote area, but if I ever went back there, I would try my chances at a different hotel. It can hardly be any worse.
