"Great place to stay in Curacao - very quiet and clean."

This hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly. When you walk into this hotel it is beautiful and very modern. There is a bar and restrooms right at the front of the hotel. Our room was huge, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom/shower was massive, modern and clean. Our only complaint about the kitchen is that only 1 burner worked (it worked to full capacity). Our entrance had shelving for all of our clothes. If you rent a vehicle there is a vast amount of parking available at no charge. We had a patio that we could drink our coffee & tea outside every morning and then go to the pool for a swim or to tan. The pool was lovely, they cleaned it a couple of times while we were there and it looked like they may be re doing it. The only thing about the pool is that there was no swim up bar. Around the pool however is a bar, with many tables and chairs for socialization. There are also cabanas where you can get away from the sun but also enjoy the pool view. The hotel itself was very reasonable priced per night, I would return to this hotel every time I am in Curacao - which will be often as it is now my favourite destination location to go!

"A spot to remember "

I went to the Floris suites hotel the last week of my vacation. We rented this apartment right at the beach. The view every morning was amazing. The apartment was right on the private beach of the hotel, so all I had to do to brighten my mornings was get up and open the curtains. The apartment didn't include room service , but there was a stove, a fridge, microwave... 2 bathrooms, one for each bedroom and we had 3 beds. It's close enough to the city and yet so peaceful. If the kids are bored or have nothing to do, just kick them into the ocean. Ours didn't leave till their tummies started growling hahaha. They also had this beach club or bar, don't exactly know what they called it, but you could order some drinks or something to eat, like sandwiches. And they brought it to you on the beach. It was definitely a great stay and I would recommend this for family, solo or couples retreat. Everyone and anyone can enjoy themselves there!!!

"Beautiful Quiet place to enjoy your lover."

The rooms are huge and come equipped with a full kitchen. The offer an all inclusive option if you choose. We were only there for 2 days, so we did not have all inclusive. Everyday from 5-6 they have happy hour that includes 2 free beers or glasses of wine. The ambiance is perfect for honeymooners and lovers.

"Great place to stay in Curaçao"

The hotel is great, staff is great. I have no bad things to say about this hotel, just good ones. We had a great time being there and would recommend it to anyone, especially at the cost. We loved the lush green grounds that they keep and surround the hotel in. Not an eyesore at all, which is how we like them, and they do a good job on upkeep of the greenery. They do a cool happy hour every weekday from 5-6 (6-7pm on Friday) which is just such a nice bonus, bartender is great, Jerrick is his name, and fun to hang and shoot the breeze with...they give you a little snack too. Little touches like that are unexpected and nice. Suite was big, comfortable, it was two rooms with a kitchen, which is great, as you can shop at Centrum, fine super market, and save more money by eating in sometimes, but helps to know dutch for label reading. Vacation bonus: We had a cat attach itself to us and was most welcome. She was a calico and was really sweet, young, so she was playful as well. 'Missy' was her name, and she's great. Take care of her if you like cats and she'll be waiting for you every night when you come home. She's great, and fun to wake up to and come home to. The hotel's Mambo beach is beautiful, quiet, not over populated and a 5 minute walk from the main hotel, or they'll ride you over there in a golf cart. Norman and Stephanie work there (Mambo Beach Club) and they're really nice, friendly, work hard and social. Food and drinks are served there as well, and it's good. That water is stunning, and great for swimming, floating, snorkeling. Nice people all around, from the front desk, and everyone else. There's the restaurant there as well as a few others within walking distance: Tomatoes and the Pirates cove are walk-able; all are good. Tomatoes is a flat crust pizza joint, and the Pirate's Cove is right next to it, and they're both right on the water. And then there's other good ones in Willemstad as well. Some tips for Curaçao in general, it is most helpful to rent a car there to get around and see other beaches, shopping, Willemstad, et al. Willemstad is convenient in proximity to Floris, and they do shuttle buses to get there if need be. It's about 5-6 km/2.5miles from the hotel so getting there is not best done by walking. 5 minute drive. We rented a car straight from the airport when we got there and kept it the entire time. You can drive the whole island in a bit more than an hour, and some of the beaches you can find are just stunning and definitely worth seeing and are best reached by car; taxis will get costly. It's also hard to get lost there as there's just not that many roads. Traffic is minimal, so not stressful driving...at least for us, we live in NYC and do drive here, so everywhere else seems so civilized in those terms. Curaçao is not a Cancun type place, it's not full of over-the-top spring break activities, jet skis, and everyone trying to sell you something, doesn't feel like a tourist trap at all. Which is exactly what we like. It's a peaceful, pretty, very civilized place, and perfect for just relaxing, diving, snorkeling, swimming, catching ray... Amazingly inexpensive in tourist terms. Place kicked butt. Totally dug it. Cheers to the fine folk at Floris and the beautiful island of Curaçao. We would definitely stay there again.

"Good hotel"

I'd give them 3.5 stars not 4. Visited in July for vacation. We had a junior suite, pool access room, which was large and included a sitting area and a small kitchenette. Access to the pool was very easy from the back doors. We also had an outside sitting area with lounge chairs and a dining set-up. The room was okay but some of the furniture was broken and housekeeping took away dishes without replacing them. The staff at the hotel are very polite and efficient but please ask if you have questions because I think they sometimes forget to mention certain things. This hotel has tons of potential but I'm afraid the management has allowed the place to deteriorate quite a bit. While modernly designed, the grounds are in desperate need of simple maintenance and cleaning. The pool had several tiles missing and too much debris was allowed to float in it. The property contains a multitude of tropical trees and plants that shed leaves, etc. It seems as though there isn't a groundskeeper to maintain cleanliness. The food at Floris was also not the best I've had. While not directly on the beach, the hotel partners with the nearby Moomba beach club, providing access to a private beach with wonderful facilities about 5 mins away. Alternatively, you can opt for the pirate bay beach club, which is also a beautiful beach to spend the day complete with a restaurant (pirate bay) that serves great food and drinks. The shuttle to downtown Willemstad was a great convenience but be aware that a taxi back will cost about $15USD. From mambo beach, a taxi to Floris is $30USD. We had a great experience in Curacao but I'd stay at another hotel (maybe the Hilton or Sunscape) if I returned.
