"Visit last week"

The pool was way too small for the amount of people staying at the resort, plus no good for younger children, as no shallow part for them to play in. Found the rooms very tired and the adjoining door to the next room had no sound proofing, so we where woken frequently to snoring, talking etc. Kids club staff where not very friendly so my daughter whould usually adore this only attended for about 2 hours. Staff at bar/restaurant area where super friendly and awesome, and house keping staff did a fabulous job, even though rooms where run down.

"september at the edgewater"

We booked a garden room, lucky us it had a view of the ocean as well. The room was quite basic but little things made it comfortable. Outdoor chairs and table on the balcony. soft comfortable chairs in the room, comfortable bed and an it was air conditioned. A short (1 minute) walk to the beach to snorkel for as long as we liked. I saw a different fish every time I ventured out. A fridge in our room kept our drinks cold and stored our snacks. We also had a jug for hot drinks and the milk was replenished. We elected to use the bus on our stay and found it very satisfactory (concession ticket: $30 for 10 rides. My husband and I shared one ticket). Usual waiting times for the bus, however the bus stop was within the resort and was sheltered. We ate at the resort, the food was extremely good & very tasty, also good value. I am not sure how much alcohol was in their cocktails ($10 between 5-6pm) but they did have very good flavours. The activity hut run by the Edgewater was a Big Plus for me. There was an escorted snorkelling tour around the island (great for me, an inexperienced snorkler), i saw fish being marinated (Yum! there was taste testing) and heard the coconut story (tasting again!). I enjoyed the drumming session. And I got to experience some of it twice (no hardship for me at all!). I was great to collect a beach towel as we required one. The staff were a hard working bunch and the person we met who serviced our room made me feel very comfortable about being in the resort. We did not like seeing the excessive rust on our stairway up to our room. When my husband pointed it out I did tread lightly (for a while)however nothing gave way while we where there. We took our own snorkels & reef shoes. The hut run out of snorkels one day.

"A little tired"

We stayed for 5 nights. We had upgraded to the Deluxe Beachfront Suite and found it a little tired. There were 6 of us and we did a group booking together but found our room really tired and in need of an update. Our friends rooms were a little more modern. Our room wasn't serviced daily whereas our friends rooms were and they got little bottles of toiletries whereas we didn't. Overall just found it a little inconsistent and disappointing as we all paid the same rate. The staff were friendly and lovely and we did enjoy our stay overall.

"Fantastic Resort and staff dedicated to make our stay a memorable one"

Thank you to all staff at the Edgewater Resort we were very impressed by the dedication and hard working staff across the board from our cleaning lady to the chef and breakfast and bar staff I hope your boss appreciates what a wonderful group he has working for him even in a down pour at happy hour you all had smiles on your faces while you entertained us all while getting drenched to make sure everyone got there meals and cocktails it was hard to dodge the huts with umbrellas to keep meals dry in the down pour but you all managed. The room was fabulous Deluxe Beachfront a must the view one to die for both evening with lights shining up the palm trees to waking to the lagoon and sunshine only dreams are made of 3000 block the best spot as far as we were concerned. Close to everything but far enough away that the night entertainment was not heard over the sound of the waves coming on shore sound proofing was great and most other travelers were quiet at night snorkeling was great but at this time of year you have to watch out for the trigger fish as is breeding season and female very aggressive and will bite you as one of our party and others found out. You can see some wonderful colourful fish right out front of rooms snorkeling and the water is very refreshing this time of year where in March a bit warm for me like a warm bath. Air con a must during day so you enter a cool room on your return very quiet hardly any sound but ceiling fans for night time we found were enough to give us a good sleep. WE had a wonderful time at the resort the meals are fabulous well priced and service wonderful, wonderful massage and facial in the spa but my only suggestion here to add atmosphere would be gentle soothing music to make the whole experience devine. Thank you all for helping to give us some wonderful memorable times the activities wer great fun from crab racing to lei making serong printing fish feeding and a special message to one Peter Pan from another thank you for making my 60th birthday lei. To our waitress you have become family within the week thank you love Pina girl ( my nick name after all the Pina collarda cocktails). We will return.

"Left a lot to be desired ..."

Great setting and location (however if you want beautiful beach front with good swimming - Muri Beach location would have been better). Staff were very ordinary, poor customer service from the reception staff to the restaurant waitresses to the cleaners - all appear to hate their jobs and don't provide great service for those working in the hospitality world. There is always a massive queue at the car rental place on site - be first as it opens or you could be waiting a very long time! The wait times (and general service) MUCH better in town. Pool was average - VERY small in comparison to pictures and no deck lounges which is disappointing if you planned to lay by the pool at any point. The pool front rooms - not worth the extra $$ - so noisy and most families have those rooms with kids on roll out beds... Sunset beautiful and breakfast was fresh & delish for a continental spread (do not try to fill your drink bottle up with water from breakfast - unless you want to be yelled at)!!! Very good selection of resort activities - daily/hourly. Island night was great, they did say repeatedly that there would be plenty of food - however after everyone had been once - all the food was pretty much gone and they didn't fill back up. Make sure you get everything you want first time.
