Over Paradise Taveuni

"Oh yes, paradise..."

Paradise Taveuni - What can I say… stunning, beautiful, luxurious… No words or photos can sufficiently describe or show the beauty and uniqueness of this stunning resort. We spent our honeymoon here recently in Aug 2016 and it was amazing from the moment we stepped off the plane our friendly driver was there to meet us and gave us a wonderful history trip on the way The island is stunning – along with the resort! The resort friendliness is the best we have ever experienced by the end of our 7 nights we felt like a member of the family - it was just lovely. Flo the wonderful Manager is exceptional and not only does she and her team make everything flow easily for you but she is the friendliest and most helpful person I have met in a very long time. I felt very blessed to have met Flo - Thank you Flo Our room was just beautiful and the little touches that this resort provides is exceptional. If you’re looking for a quite beautiful resort you won’t be disappointed by choosing Paradise Taveuni. I will remember this honeymoon for the rest of my life and we hope to come back and share many anniversaries here. Thank you Paradise Team:) Debs & Greg

"And Paradise it was!!!"

We had wanted to go to Paradise for many years but had never gotten around to it.......certainly a procrastination we now regret!! Paradise is a gorgeous place. Stunning views, wonderful staff and their recovery from the cyclone earlier this year is nothing short of amazing!! Bures repaired, gardens once more blossoming, pool sparkling, dive shop fully operational and the fabulous Rainbow Reef still beautifully intact. I didn't dive this trip but my husband certainly did, declaring the reef looking "great" with terrific dive sites, including the famous White Wall. Paradise's house reef has been affected by the cyclone but the snorkelling trips to the Reef more than made up for it. For me this trip, Paradise's fabulous Day Spa was pure bliss and just what I needed!! On our last night, a private, romantic dinner for two on the waterfront under the stars was magical!! Simply put.....a wonderful place to stay.

"Taveuni is not just a paradise, it's THE paradise!"

I stayed in this beautiful piece of paradise in August/September. Everytime I speak or write about this experience, my heart melts with the joy of the memory. I get so emotional that what I will write will sound more like poetry than a review  But for this purpose, I’ll try to be less poetic and more pragmatic for those who are choosing a destination in Fiji: Taveuni Island: less travelled than the Yasawas, the beautiful island is a gem. It’s where you meet your dreams. Where the sky and land connect through rainbow arcs. If you go to Fiji and do not experience staying in this island, you’ve missed out big time. Taveuni Paradise Resort: There are no words in the 3 languages I speak that could possibly come close to encompassing the beautiful experience I had in this place. Paradise Taveuni is a perfect mixure of humbleness and luxury, simplicity and extravaganza, closeness to nature and extreme comfort. Every bit of your body and soul will feel at peace in this paradise, which has well earned its name. The architecture and the structure is wonderfully cozy and friendly. You can find your perfect corner to have some quality time with your thoughts on a hammock swinging on the Pacific blue, or come hang out with the staff and other travellers in the dining area. The twin palm trees with hammocks, the little bay with white chairs and a perfectly positioned hammock and the infinity pool are my favorites. The rooms are very beautiful. It’s all about the details. Humble and simple, yet very luxurious. From curtain rings made of sea shells to bamboo towel holders and stone paved outdoor showers, you will feel like the queen (or king) of the paradise. The food is presented with an artistic design and tastes heavenly, served with the kindest manners of hospitality. Tropical fruit plates and magical Fijian tastes leave your body in a state of wonderful pleasure. The resort provides you with anything you can think of: Dive lessons and Tours with the most caring instructors, snorkelling gear, boat rides, tours to the Bouma falls where you can feel like ancient gods/goddesses bathing in the waterfalls, etc. Most important of all, is the staff – It is unfair to call these amazing friends just ‘staff’. They became my family. I am not kidding! They helped me have the BEST time of my life, treated me like I am a queen, and treated me like I belonged with the paradise and that friendship was effortless. I knew it was from their hearts. I have the honour of having their friendship now and will make sure I keep it forever. All the time there, I was thinking to myself “I must have done something right to deserve so much happiness!” – and isn’t this what we all want to have on our vacation? So, my dears, if you want to wake up in paradise and have morning chats with the most colourful fish in the beautiful Pacific even before your morning coffee served with amazing and sincere Fijian smiles, and experience a thousand things you thought you may not live to do, and finish your day with laughters, and a heart filled with happiness, topped with amazing food and magical cocktails, Taveuni Paradise is definitely the place for you! This place stole my heart!!! <3

"A different kind of Paradise."

After cyclone Winston the Rebuild of Paradise has been amazingly fantastic. The hard work of the Team is mind blowing the team spirit is highly positive. We were touched by the greeting on arrival by a big BULA group and a foot massage was special. while holidaying at Paradise the staff were so awesome they were gone out of the way to make things happen. My husband enjoyed his snorkelling around resort meanwhile I enjoyed a massage at the spa. My kind of Great Paradise.

"Lovely small resort with superb customer service"

Welcome to Paradise! This small resort on the southwest side of Taveuni Island is a gem indeed. It is quiet but full of activities from diving, snorkeling and swimming to island tours and spa specials. Views are spectacular all day long but the sunsets are especially lovely. The customer service is fantastic. We were warmly greeted upon arrival with a floral leis and foot massages. The staff memorized our names within a day. Very impressive. They greeted us by name and offered assistance throughout each day. Everyone from the owners and managers to those working in the dive shop, restaurant, spa and housekeeping went above and beyond to ensure each person's desires were met. The rooms are individual bures (cabins); some are 2-room studios. All have both indoor and outdoor showers, comfortable beds, air conditioning and outside patios. Wifi is available for an extra fee or you can use their iPad for free. The wifi worked very well for a remote location. Paradise has daily happy hours with a nice selection of beers, wine and cocktails. Menu choices change daily, servings are very generous and we enjoyed the food very much. Each week there are special events including a Fiji night with a traditional feast, Fiji dancing, and a kava ceremony. This was very fun indeed. The entire resort was destroyed in a cyclone in February 2016 but it has been rebuilt. Plans are in place to add 3 more bures to the 13 they have now, build a new spa, and improve other facilities in November 2016. Book early as this is a small, popular resort.
