We were really looking forward to visiting Leroo La Tau as we had heard so much about it on a previous visit to Botswana. The lodge is in a great location overlooking the Boteti river and the rooms overlook the river as well. We were lucky to have all the zebras still visiting the river. The rooms have a great outlook and a clean but not luxurious. We had a double bed and a single bed in our room which made it a little tight for space. The staff were all very friendly and caring. Our guide Ollie was excellent and as with all the guides would see things that no one else would see and point them to us.
"Elegant Property in bushes"
The lodge is mere 20-25 min drive from the airstrip. The staff was nice and very helpful no matter what the time is!! they come to your help. The location is quiet scenic, the rains have made the entire area lush green with plenty of birds. The balcony was frequented by the hornbill every morning. Night Game Drive was awesome and that was first i have done and it was really exciting. My guide Ollie was excellent professional, and was very much concerned for safety. The area is frequently visited by a pride of lions with three lil cubs and i have chance to see them with a kill. It was an exciting 03 Night stay. Staff is really too good and they let u feel as if u r at home.
"Exclusive game reserve"
A visit to this exclusive game reserve is definitely worth a stop over to either Maun or Kasane. Beautiful scenery, friendly staff , especially Hannah, KB and the most knowledgeable guides. Nothing was too much trouble and all the staff went out of their way to accomodate our every need. Rooms are exceptional, the scenery spectacular and your every need looked after! Thank you to Desert and Delta Safaris for arranging this wonderful stay!
"Fascinating view of the Boteti River"
This was the third of the three lodges that we visited of Desert & Delta during the third week of November, 2016. The view of the Boteti river from our room was enchanting to say the least. One can spend hours simply watching it. The river was quite low, and the zebras had moved away taking most of the hunters, still our guide Mr. Slade did his best to show us a lion: and he did manage on the second evening. During the course of the first evening we were given a show by the elephants of taking their mud bath. The night game drive in this Lodge is quite entertaining. The ‘hide’ demands spending some time there both during the day was well as during the night. We stayed in three of the Desert & Delta camps in Botswana during the third week of November, and each was different and highly enjoyable. I must thank Ms. Louise Benn of Highline Tours and Travel of South Africa for choosing Desert & Delta. Thanks are due to Desert & Delta for supporting us to the best of their ability during the pre-tour jitters that we had experienced (neither of our making nor of theirs) and giving us three wonderful lodges: Xugana, Moremi and Leroo La Tau at a very short notice, thereby allowing us to experience the geo and bio diversity of Botswana.
"A perfect Location with Perfect service"
We were met by Calvin our guide who is highly knowledgeable who took us into the private concession, this means that they can do night drives too which is a bonus for guests to see the night critters. The Zebra migration is between April and October but be aware it gets hot!!. Luckily the camp is on the banks of the River so its cool. The rooms are open and have sliding doors with amazing views across the river. Elephants are drinking, birds are singing, its the perfect atmosphere. We were hit by a amazing dust storm them witnessed some of the most amazing lightning storms and to end it on a even better note found lions and cubs on the road with a kill !! I highly recommend staying at Leroo La Tau. The wildlife sighting are amazing with Giraffe, elephants, lions, zebra, impala, variety of bird life ( especially vultures ). Loved it here !! The rooms are spacious with great bathrooms too.
