There are two resorts on Tokoriki Island. Tokoriki Island Resort (TIR) and Sheraton. It was a hard choice when we were deciding which one to go. At last, I made the decision: two nights in TIR and two nights in Sheraton. It turned out good. But over all, I think Tokoriki Island Resort is way better. TIR is a private resort, very quiet, adults only. It was like a private royal garden with lotus along the way. A perfect choice for honey moon. The swimming pool is a perfect place for sunset seeing and happy hour drinking. The food in TIR is great too. I saw some bad reviews on the food, so I have a really low expectation. but it turned out totally different. My two friends and I all loved the food there. Every piece of food was like art, presented delicately. I strongly recommend the beer battered fish and Kokoda (raw fish and fruit in coconut milk). The best in TIR was the staff and service. They smile all the time and treat you like family. They are professional, very careful with their work. They will do anything to satisfy your needs. They made me feel the last thing they wanted to do is to disappoint you. The room is usually for two people only, but as I ask them to put in a rollaway bed, they added one more glass, one more bottle of water, one more milk, one more robe and one more bath towel. They were really really considerate. Our room was quite messy because we have four suitcases. I didn't think it was convenient for the cleaning lady, so I hanged the NO DISTURBING sign outside our door. Later in the afternoon a senior lady knocked and confirmed if we need room service. She was a bit worried that we didn't fully understand the meaning of the sign because English is not my first language. After we told her we almost ran out of Fiji water she went away and came back with three more bottles in only two seconds. Fiji time is not a rare thing here. Many Fijians are lazy and slow. But the staff of TIR are completely not like that. They are fast, punctual and effective. Our electric brake jumped out and the electrician came 3 minutes later after we called the reception. When we moved to Sheraton they led the way, carried our luggage and accompanied us all the way to Sheraton reception in the dark. TIR was like a home away from home. We definitely would pay more visits and stayed longer if we had another chance. Speaking of Sheraton, we were a bit disappointed. First of all, we have to make it clear that Sheraton was great too. It was big, modern and fun. Spacious, great view, various water sports (even though they charged for snorkeling gear, kayak and stand up paddle board), more choices of food and a small but comfy gym. Staff were considerate too, but they were more like business people, not as warm-hearted as staff of TIR. They didn't smile that much and acted a little slow. In our room, we had three adults but everything came in pairs. When we called for another set of robe, bath towel, etc, they never came. There was no hot water until someone came one hour later. There were too many kids so it was loud and noisy. Bird poop on the deck chairs along the beach and swimming pool. The water in the pool was not that clean wither. The food was very good, but they almost tasted the same after we had three meals. Our accommodation fee included breakfast but they still charged us for breakfast when I checked out. The good thing was when I pointed it out they refunded me with cash immediately. However, even though I sort of badmouthed Sheraton, it is still a nice place. For example, most frogs have been removed from Sheraton, while there are a lot in TIR. That's basically the only thing I am not satisfied with TIR. But overall, I personally preferred the traditional bures with amazing ocean and garden views in TIR. I am writing this review in Sheraton villa in Danarau. It is a nice place too. The thing I am unhappy with by now is that they don't offer a bus or van to the airport. Can't believe I have to book and pay a taxi by myself while most hotels offer the courteous bus service. 环境 托阔里奇有å¤å…¸å…¬å›çš„美，幽é™ï¼Œæˆ¿é—´å°‘æ¸¸å®¢å°‘ï¼Œæ— äººæ‰“æ‰°ï¼Œæ³³æ± ç»ç¾Žã€‚å–œæ¥ç™»æ˜¯çŽ°ä»£ç¾Žç¾Žï¼Œè§†é‡Žå¼€é˜”，游客多，有点åµã€‚ 3. 喜æ¥ç™»è¿˜æ˜¯åµåµåµã€‚ 5. 房间 托阔里奇度å‡æ‘是æ–æµŽä¼ ç»Ÿå¸ƒå±€ï¼Œè€Œä¸”è¿˜æœ‰ä¸€ä¸ªç§äººæ³³æ± ，æ‹ç…§è£…
Our second trip to Tokoriki, lovely room with private plunge pool and ocean facing. Staff are so friendly and greet you each day with smiles and friendly chat, Sam and Arla are just two that really stood out. Food was very good and the daily changing menu kept us interested. All through a little on the pricey side it really is a place to sit back and relax. Try helicoptering in and out of the Island it really is the only way to go.
"A wonderful paradise"
After an eventful trip in New Zealand ,we were thrilled to arrive in Tokoriki. It is a beautiful location with breathtaking sunset views. The accommodations are first class ; spacious, extremely comfortable and spotless. The staff are really lovely, they know everyone’s name in minutes. I returned to scuba diving after a long absence and with a lot of trepidation and had a blast. The dive centre staff were really great and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience again. The spa is lovely and the 3 day package a great deal. Food was delicious. A little quiet in the evenings as winds down after dinner but very relaxing. Overall a must visit . We’ll definitely go back .
We spent three nights in tokoriki island resort. The moment you reach the resort you are made to feel home with welcoming song. You also sang goodbye song. As my daughter went before us, she warned me that I might find difficult with food as I was vegetarian. So I decided to meet the chef & explain my needs. They were so fantastic that the head chef would ask me everyday what I would like to eat. Thank you. The staff were very good too. They make you feel like home. Our beachfront bure was excellent. My experience says that if you want to experience oceanfront dining then you book in advance even though ours was booked through the agent we still didn’t get to experience. That was a bit of a disappointment. We were given two one breakfast & one evening meal beachfront but we didn’t get any. I would recommend people to at least visit once in a lifetime.
My wife and I spent our honeymoon at the Tokoriki Island Resort. Words simply cannot express how much we enjoyed our experience. From the moment you set foot on the jetty and receive your welcoming song, you are made to feel at home. Each and every member of staff at the resort makes an effort to learn your name and a little about you, where you are from etc. We had the full board meal package, pre-paying $250fjd per day for a la carte breakfast, lunch and dinner. I would highly recommend this option as it is incredible value for money, never letting the price of a meal influence your choices. The food was also fantastic and of very high quality, with the menu changing daily to avoid the choices becoming stale after a few days. Our beachfront Bure was stunning, including a king sized bed, double vanity bathroom, 2 showers (indoor and outdoor) and a dipping pool on our private deck. The Bure also included a split system air conditioner which kept our room cool and comfortable in the Fijian heat. Every night we would come down the the cocktail bar and enjoy some discounted drinks while listening to Paulo, Tomasi, Teba and others play some beautiful music, interacting with us and other guests. Looking out over the islands and a breathtaking sunset was a sight to behold and something I will never forget. We did not partake in any of the offered activities (apart from the Kava tasting, which I would highly recommend!) as we simply feel like we didn’t need to. At no point during the stay did we feel bored or shut in. A big selling point of Tokoriki is the fact that it is an adults-only resort. While this may be off putting for some, it was quite refreshing for us and we found it made our experience much more relaxing. The infinity pool, cocktail bar and restaurant were quiet and relaxing areas, unlike more family friendly resorts. Quite simply, our Tokoriki experience was perfect from arrival to departure. The view from the resort gets more beautiful every time you see it, and walking around the resort fills you with joy simply from the atmosphere created by the island and the lovely staff of the resort. We will be back, multiple times if possible. We cannot wait to see the staff once again and enjoy this experience all over again. Do yourself a favour, visit the Tokoriki island resort and see for yourself. Simply paradise on earth.
