"A beautiful honeymoon "

Thank you everyone, we discover a paradise. It was like a dream sleeping near the ocean.. All the people were happy and helpful. Don't miss the possibility of a lobster dinner by the sea and the teppainaki dinner Bula! Aris

"5 nights of bliss"

Fabulous stay at tokoriki. We chose the plunge pool as part of accomodation and well worth it; I don't know how we will go back to holidays without it! The weather was 32 degrees and humid most days over new year. We didn't choose the meal deal as felt we would over eat and it worked out about $500 less overall. Drinks are expensive!! $30 for a cocktail however how can you resist... ;) the sunset villas have an extra living area which we didn't use too much however lovely having the space (and it was over new yr!). There is a marine type smell from the ocean at the very last 2-3 sunset villa which may be from the exposed rocks. Low tide you can still swim if you are very careful over the corals. Water is around knee high until you swim out deeper; no problem when the tide is higher however the water does not go out fully like we experienced at other accomodation around the mamanuccas. Worthwhile doing the trip to monuriki island too where castaway is filmed as again, another pristine island although there were a few other people there (about 20) so felt busy! Would definitely go back to tokoriki.

My husband I just got back home after an amazing honeymoon week at Tokoriki Island resort! It was a beautiful place, wonderful food and spa services, but what topped everything was how nice all of the staff and Fijian people were!!! We got to know many of the Fijians working at the resort during our stay, and you couldn't find a nicer and more welcoming people. They are proud of their heritage and they bring this into the atmosphere in many ways. They also appreciate the jobs that the resort(s) in the area bring to the Fijian people. When we stepped off the boat, we were greeted by the staff with a necklace, mango drink and a welcome serenade by many of the staff! They sing a native welcome and a farewell song to all guests upon arrival and departure, which was very sweet and added "personal" and cultural touch. (Sam, Sulu, Paulo, Vili, Tomasi, Alex, etc. etc. are awesome!). The "band boys" played live music for entertainment during lunch and dinner every day, which was a lovely touch to the dining experience. Do's - DO take advantage of the spa services! Wonderful value for the price, and the ladies that work there did phenomenal jobs on our massages and my facial! I also really enjoyed the atmosphere of the spa. DO try to get in a village visit. They offer this excursion two days a week. Enlightening to see the village that many of the workers go home to each night. And there is a market set up there with very reasonably priced crafts, which also supports the families living in the villages. If you enjoy food or are bigger eaters, the meal plan is a great value. However if you don't think you will need three full meals a day, it worked well for us to pack some breakfast items with us and skip that meal. Alcohol is not covered in the meal plan either, so that is a la carte either way. We enjoyed the snorkeling, both away from and near the island. Beautiful scenery, clear turquoise waters and our pictures were amazing! We weren't sure which island or resort to pick when we chose Tokoriki for our big honeymoon trip, but we think we got lucky that we landed upon this friendly and beautiful resort! Vinaka!

Loved every minute of my stay! It's easy to see why people come back again and again ! The bures are gorgeous - private and secluded but also a hop, skip and a jump from the beach! I loved the special touches of fresh hibiscus and the outdoor shower was just lovely. The food is divine and having dinner by the beach was one of the most romantic settings ever! The cocktails were scrumptious - only problem was which one to have next. But perhaps what makes this place special, asides from the beautiful location, is the people. All of the staff are amazing - warm and so welcoming! The band members were fantastic as well. Great repertoire! The staff looked after us so well. I loved every moment!

"Unforgettable holiday and experience"

we were greeted from the helicopter by the local boy band, who were an almost permanent feature throughout our 6 days at this fabulous resort. The staff, the surroundings, and the remoteness were all as we had read on Trip Adviser before we booked to stay here and overall would recommend any couple of any age to try this place. There were however a few things we were disappointing in, some of these were put right straight away, some were just part of the way the resort works. Firstly, we bought the meal package, which gives you three meals per day, as there is no where else to eat other than the Japanese restaurant, we were pretty much hostage to their menu, which we found very basic, and with little variation. The quality of food OK. We expected that local beers and spirits might be included inside this package, but beware that, other than water, or filter coffee, no drinks are included, and they charge proper hotel prices at the bar. We also bought their unlimited three day massage package. We had a couple of massages at the Spa, but we were getting bitten there. We bought this up with the management, they arranged for us to have the balance of our treatments at out Villa, which worked out very nicely. I should add that others had massages at the Spa, and had no issues. Day trips and Fishing. There are lots on offer here, I would recommend that before you commit to any of them, and some are very good, you understand exactly what you are getting for you money.
