Uw vakantie op Fiji begint op Viti Levu, het hoofdeiland van de Fiji eilandengroep. Hier vindt u een ideale mix tussen een ontspannen verblijf op een eiland en de mogelijkheid om iets te kunnen ondernemen.
This is a great resort, built for relaxing. The Fijian people are by nature welcoming and helpful, and the staff here are the epitome of that philosophy. Food is good, with several restaurants ranging from snacks by the pool to fine dining. We've been here 3 times and have stayed in a Plantation Bure each time, and they've been spectacular. Combine the facilities of this resort with the nature of the people, and add in the local philosophy of 'Fijian time', we've had a great holiday here each time we've visited.
"Great place to stay, highly recommended"
This resort is a great place to relax and unwind with the staff being more than helpful. Nothing that we asked was too difficult. We stayed on the 2nd floor of the Deluxe Ocean View rooms and found the room to be well appointed and comfortable. The ocean view was quite good. Although a five star resort, some areas of the room were a bit average. The tiles along the floor and surrounding corner areas of the toilet and bathroom did not appear to be too clean and the sliding fly wire door leading to the outside balcony was pretty shabby and difficult to open and close. The resort itself has a number of restaurants and bars which offer excellent meals although some menu choices can be quite expensive. One restaurant in particular, The Ivy, has a dress code so come prepared if you wish to dine there. There are heaps of activities provided by the resort and the facilities are excellent. The highlight of this trip was being invited by the General Manager to the KaloKalo bar for cocktails and canapés. Apparently this invitation occurs if you are celebrating a special occasion of some sort, in this case it was my 60th birthday. Other guests had also been invited, and it was a great opportunity to gain an insight into the Fijian way of life. Other than a resort shuttle to the town of Sigatoka, many day tours commence from Denarau which is a fair distance from the resort by bus so be prepared for a long day. Overall this resort is a great place to stay and would recommend it to any person wishing to holiday in Fiji.
This AMAZING resort is the best place to stay in Fiji. I stayed there for one week and BOOM amazing. The resort has so many things to do like swimming, snorkly, bar, eating and relaxing. So next time you go to Fiji, think twice, and go to the Outrigger. BerryAGAMER
"The staff here are particularly welcome and really help make your holiday special"
We have recently returned from our holiday at Outrigger and are feeling very refreshed and relaxed from such a relaxing holiday. This was our second trip to Fiji as a family (dad, mum & 2 kids) but first stay at the Outrigger. We wanted to go to the Coral Coast this time and choose the Outrigger due to the deal offered, with the kids eating free 24/7. Our room - we stayed on the 8th floor in a Deluxe Ocean View Room which had remarkable views and was very comfortable. The beds were very comfortable & we slept very well, we didn't need the air con to cool the room in the evening but slept just as well with the ceiling fan on overnight. One thing I will say was a little below par was that the lighting in the room and bathroom was quite poor - I was glad I was not a wedding guest [there were 3 weddings while we were at the resort] as I would have struggled to see well enough to put on any makeup or do my hair. The evening canapé and champagne was a nice way to finish the day/start the evening, and our room attendant, Ana was really lovely, efficient and super helpful, always with a lovely smile. We thought it was a lovely resort with plenty to keep you occupied if you don't want to venture out too often. We hadn't realized that many day tours start at Denarau, so if you choose to do any of these, it is an early start with a quite long bus trip back to Denarau - we avoided this and stayed close to the resort. Internet is strong all through the property. We were impressed with the food at the Sundowner and the Baravi and felt it was very good quality but that it was surprisingly pricey, even for something simple. The food options poolside were more reasonably priced and offered a god range of dishes. Staff were always friendly and welcoming, probably the most friendly of any fijian resort I have been to. I'd like to make a special mention of Anna (T) from the poolside area, who really made our stay even more memorable. She has the most welcoming smile and manner, and offered such great service - never bothering us, but always there when we needed something, and offering suggestions of dishes or cocktails to try. She also did a fabulous job of unobtrusively keeping the pool area very tidy, there were never any dirty plates or glasses left around when Anna was on duty. She is truly an asset to your resort. As another reviewer has mentioned, perhaps a few more shaded sun lounges would be good at the pool, as the sun can be quite hot on a nice day. The resort activities were also quite good - eg,stand-up paddle boarding, reef walk, and we felt like we had plenty of options for things to do each day. We also wanted to mention Sisilia at Baravi restaurant - she was a standout, so friendly to the kids, and offered really top notch table service. Thank you for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday.
"We don't want to go anywhere else from now on!"
We loved pretty much everything about this resort! Beautiful grounds and views, huge family pool with lots of different, fun sections catering for all age groups, stunning and wonderfully peaceful adults-only pool, well equipped gym, very friendly staff, clean, well serviced and quiet room and excellent Kids' Club. Our just-turned 3 year old enjoyed Kids' Club so much that our previous hopes of him going there for an hour or two day turned into him requesting to go there most mornings and afternoons, all lunchtimes and many evening meals, and for another hour or so after dinner some nights! We still had lots of family fun altogether before, between and after these sessions, but also got some well-needed couple time and a chance to really relax and read, snooze etc - a REAL holiday! The butler service was a lovely touch and it was so nice to chill out with a drink and canapes on the balcony before getting ready to go out for dinner each night. Some evenings we went to the local restaurants (Beach Bar and Bedarra) which had lovely food at a much lower price than the resort, but you should have at least one meal watching the sunset at the Sundowner restaurant on site. On our final day I went down with a random gastro bug and the hotel staff were outstandingly helpful and thoughtful. They sent up 4 complimentary bottles of water, helped my husband arrange transport and a Drs appointment in Sigatoka and called up in the evening to see how I was. Totally impressed all round with this resort and can't imagine holidaying anywhere else from now on!!
