Uw vakantie op Fiji begint op Viti Levu, het hoofdeiland van de Fiji eilandengroep. Hier vindt u een ideale mix tussen een ontspannen verblijf op een eiland en de mogelijkheid om iets te kunnen ondernemen.
Beautiful resort. Magic staff. Good time to visit as off season so not so many tourists. Hot but who cares with Coral Sea to bathe in and family pool. If you want adults only swim then enjoy adults only pool. Grounds are kept in pristine condition. Food and drinks a little pricey but restaurants near resort are excellent alternative. Have been to Fiji numerous times and will enjoy many more visits. Bula Vinaka
"Beats The Warwick!"
We stayed here after 2 nights at the Radisson Blu (Denarau) and 2 nights at The Warwick. We stayed with an 8 month old baby and felt there was lots to love about this resort! Service was friendly and the vibe was lively and happy. Pros - we arrived at 11:30am and check in was such a pleasant experience! View from the lobby is beautiful. Our room was ready that early, we were given a beach view room and driven down on the buggy which our baby really enjoyed - Room was spacious with a King Bed and private balcony - Sigatoka town is only 15mins away. There's a bus stop right outside the lobby for the Westbus (FJ$1) coming every 15mins to pick you up. In town you can buy bottled water, snacks, sunscreen at a much cheaper price! - Great for weddings with onsite hairdresser, spa, photographer, make-up etc. I went to Wavelengths hair salon to get a deep conditioning treatment for my very moisture deprived chlorine, salt watered hair and my hair felt renewed for only AU$20! - Big pool with shade overhead for kids - Mei Mei service FJ$20/hr in cool and tidy complex just for the kids! - Breakfast buffet was great for a sweet tooth like mine! There was chocolate sauce and vanilla paste alongside the pastries, waffles and ice-cream, fresh mangoes, strawberry smoothies as well as all the hot food you'd expect in a 5 star hotel breakfast - Snorkelling was great and if you're clever, you'll find the Giant clam that's within 200m of the shore! Its probably over 50 years old and has been protected from predators and humans which was great to see. - I really liked the water feature running through the resort with fish in it - beautiful - Nearby food outside the resort you must try is at the Beach Bar and Grill (walk out onto the beach, turn right and walk 200m along the shore and you'll find the sign directing you to it) and the Bedarra Inn a little further along. Prices about half those of resort food and quality great. Cons - Noisy rooms with the gold buggies transporting people to their rooms up til 10pm each night. Rooms definitely not noise proof unfortunately and if you're near a wedding, you will lose sleep. - $200 pre authorisation that takes up to 12 weeks to be returned to your account!? Someone is pocketing some serious interest from all that bond money. - Wifi for only 30mins each day?! I usually use wifi to find things to do around the resort so it took away from my experience sadly. As you can see the pros far outweigh the cons here. This resort is much nicer than the Warwick so don't listen to people who think theyre the same. VINAKA to the Outrigger staff! Thank you for a memorable stay ðŸ‘😊😎
"Best place to relax and unwind with the family"
We've stayed at the Outrigger on 5 occasions over the past 10 years and we will keep coming back. We always stay in the main building in Superior Resort view rooms, which are a bit of a hike from the pool, but a great way to work off the amazing buffet breakfasts! The rooms are spacious and well decorated, with comfy beds and FABULOUS air conditioning. The bathrooms are clean and modern, although admittedly the ambient lighting options don't provide very well for make-up application, I have had to resort to engineering reflective light from the shaving mirror and stand in a very specific spot... but that's a small negative in an otherwise very positive experience. The activities crew run games and competitions and tours all day every day, with an interesting and varied schedule. Personally I'm a huge fan of beach volleyball every afternoon at 3pm.... and of course aqua aerobics at 11am! The restaurants are varied and the food is fabulous quality, Pizza and grill at the Sundowner bar, Oriental fusion at Baravi bar, and themed buffet nights at Vale Ni Kana each night. I've not tried the adults only Ivi restaurant, nor spent much time at the adults only pool, but that's because we're always their with the extended family and I enjoy being active with my kids too much, paddle boarding, snorkelling, kayaking, and pool sports! Eating at the restaurants every night can get a bit pricey (or maybe that's the indulgence in cocktails with dinner?) but it's what you expect when you're staying in a 5 star resort. If you stay at Outrigger definitely hit the Bebe spa for a relaxing treatment, and the view from the Kalo Kalo bar is spectacular to enjoy a high tea or cocktail. In the Superior view rooms you get Talai (butler) service with champagne and canapes each day at 5-6pm, one of the highlights our our day with 5 families travelling together this is when we all congregate to enjoy the beginnings of the sunset and each other's company. The butlers are friendly, amazingly helpful and always polite. We'll definitely be back to Outrigger again, it's like our home away from home!
"Friendly, beautiful and a must see resort."
BULA! We arrived here at the start of November on our tour of Fiji thanks to a trip sponsored by TourismFiji. We were greeted at the resort by the usual Bula singers and complimentary beverage - and has we have been accustomed to we were made to feel like a member of the Outrigger family which is extremely welcoming. Staying in a deluxe ocean view room we were truly fortunate to have beautiful views of the Coral Coast and Pacific Ocean. Our room was VERY spacious and so was the balcony which overlooked the resort. The King-sized bed was the most comfortable on our 12 night trip and one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in! Large stylish bathroom accompanied by a wardrobe that was more than sizeable enough for our stay. The on site restaurants were all exceptional - Particular mention should be made to the Sundower bar where we enjoyed more than one meal with stunning views. The cocktails on offer throughout the resort where top class and all freshly prepared in front of you when ordered. The family friendly resort is also perfect for those on a romantic honeymoon or just a couple wanting peace and quiet. With the adult only pool and swim up bar this is truly a fantastic location for any stay. Whilst staying here we also visited the nearby Eco-Park and we were not to be disappointed. Feeding the young sea turtles was a highlight of our entire trip. I highly recommend visiting for this experience alone never mind the rest of the animals within the park, may I add they were also stunning and some endemic to Fiji which made it even more special. I must make special mention to two aspects of the trip - One being the site tour by Petero Manufolau who was an excellent host and showcased the wonderful resort to me, ending in a quality meal with stunning sun set views at the Sundowner Restaurant. The second being the cocktail reception that we were invited to at the Spa - This was on the Thursday evening and we experienced top quality hospitality, food, entertainment and of course stunning views across the Coral Coast. It was here we met the very friendly and Jovial Va Buffy who will live long in our memories from the evening. My other half had her birthday on the same day as the cocktail reception and was entertained with a rendition of the Birthday song and plenty of other perks along the way - including a beautifully decorated room and of course some personalised chocolate cake! This was unfortunately our last evening but we had an outstanding time at this resort and I’d like to extend my thanks to Petero, Va and Tumelo (our cocktail waiter) and the rest of the staff for making this trip very memorable. Vinaka!
After alot of research we decided on the outrigger to celebrate our anniversary, the bed was very comfortable but the bathroom showers could use a little updating but thats the only constructive feedback I have. From the moment you enter you are welcomed by all the staff and their beautiful smiles. Both the pools were amazing, there are so many complimentary activities including kava with uncle jim, we had a great chat with him and the boys afterwards. If you enjoy rum you must do the rum tasting masterclass, we met 2 other couples there and had a blast. We did go to a function where there was actually one couple who mentioned the amazing mei mei service for their autistic son, they could only say very positive things, so if you are looking for a resort with a fantastic nanny service to provide you with some relief you must come here, We have just returned and have decided to return next year for christmas with our whole family and our friends are booking this week to celebrate their honeymoon, we cant wait to return.
