Over Hilton Bora Bora Nui Resort & Spa

"Doesn't get better than this"

One of the most expensive hotels, i have ever stayed in... And one of the best experiences ever. Its difficult to use words to describe how stunning bora bora is. The hotel rooms are amazing, we stayed in an overwater bungalow. Snacks and food, is over priced so i would suggest bringing along your own.

"Beautiful and friendly"

LOVED my experience at Hilton Bora Bora Nui. It felt like we had the place to ourselves, which was a HUGE bonus. The water is beyond beautiful...so many different shades, words can't even describe. The bungalows are huge and beautiful! We stayed both in a hillside villa (which is a bit of a walk) and an overwater bungalow. You can jump right off of your OW bungalow and snorkel all around the resort. The staff were very friendly and used more Polynesian influences rather than French - lots of Ia ora na, Māuruuru, and nana! Our housekeeper left sweet notes and fresh flowers on our bed everyday. Free paddlebords, kayaks, and snorkeling gear -- which we used frequently! We hope to go back again soon!

"Beautiful and authentic"

I did feel that this hotel wasn't as luxurious as I anticipated. But then I went and checked out some of the other hotels in Bora Bora. I would say Conrad is one of the best! Snorkeling in front of the hotel was awesome (so many fish!), the rooms were nice (especially the overwater bungalow), the restaurants were expensive but exceptional, and the service was five-star. There was hardly anyone else here during our stay so that added to the tranquility. Some of the other five-star hotels in Bora Bora (St. Regis) definitely offer more luxury, but the added luxury felt as though it took away from the authenticity. This hotel was able to balance both.

"Not worth the unbelievable price tag for so many reasons!!"

I was terribly disappointed with this hotel which was our big splurge for our honeymoon. It is in a beautiful setting, as are all the hotels in Bora Bora, but it has so many problems with it. From Location, to lack of comfort, privacy or luxury, to tasteless food, to exorbitant price, to uncaring staff, to noise level, it was just not worth it, and I wouldn't return. It faces out into the sea and has a large hill blocking any view of the characteristic island of Bora Bora, only visible if you take a boat somewhere else. The rooms were nice, but not that luxurious. The over-water bungalows are over rather deep water with a strong current, which made snorkeling from them (the whole point really) kind of dangerous. Also the lounge chairs were uncomfortable and had no cushions available, even though we stayed at another Hilton in Moorea with the same chairs that had cushions to make them more comfortable, so we ended up spending less time on the deck due to lack of comfort. The bungalows also had little privacy, since they all face angled slightly toward each other. We could see everything that everyone on all the other bungalows were doing on their decks. There was no water provided in the rooms, as in other hotels in French Polynesia, and when I asked I was offered to buy water each day. The food itself was really bad. The prices for food were unbelievable - I'm talking $100 for 2 people for 2 mains and a glass of wine! In some cases the food was tasteless in others downright terrible tasting, bitter, tasted just wrong. All this I pointed out to both front desk and restaurant staff and they basically apologized and shrugged. Never offered to refund the poor meals. If you do go here, which I definitely don't recommend, do yourself a favor and buy food before you come, or at the supermarket on Bora Bora and just bring it back. Even microwave food or chips are better than what they are serving at this resort. Unfortunately, that will involve taking the boat to the main island, where all the good restaurants are, and it will cost you each person, each way, each time. Nickel and diming all around at this resort! Finally, the place was just plain noisy! For a place supposed to be luxurious and for honeymoons, being woken up every day and listening all day to drilling, hammering and all kinds of construction noise was not at all relaxing. More than half of the resort was closed due to the construction, and only a small strip of beach was open for use. None of this was advertised on the website, we only found out about it once we got there. All of these issues and our disappointments were mentioned to several different staff members before we left the hotel, and they did nothing. Barely apologized, and clearly didn't care about all the money we spent and wasted. I guess they didn't care because they had already received all our money, and though Hilton has a satisfaction guarantee, they certainly didn't honor it for this trip even when we cited that guarantee to the staff. Save yourself the trouble at stay at the St. Regis or anywhere else. We heard good things about the other hotels of the island. We won't stay here again, and we will be sure to persuade others away from staying here.

"with an infinity pool and the best direct view of the fabulous Bora Bora..."

This is the first place I've ever been to where it actually looks like the travel brochure! Absolutely stunning with an infinity pool and the best direct view of the fabulous Bora Bora...The concierge was able to book 2 tattoo sessions with the best artist in Bora Bora, Marama Tattoos. We both love our tattoo souvenirs. All the workers were so friendly and always helpful. We are planning our visit for next year in the same bungalow! Thank you Hilton Nui for the best vacation ever! less Erez Harosh
