Over Hilton Bora Bora Nui Resort & Spa

"Stunning Resort"

we stayed here on business just before it opened fully to the public. Amazing rooms, staff lovely and friendly and the attention to detail was incredible. Turn down service with delightful touches, great to swim off the balcony with good coral out in front of your over water bungalow. Lovely food - the best I had eaten in Bora Bora. Worth every single cent and truly a wonderful resort that you should treat yourself for special occasions.

"Horrible Service"

First off all, I have to say the hotel is wonderful, all new and the place is beautiful. Free coffe and water in the room, good room service, bikes for the guests to move around, snorkeling gear. Having said that I must say that overall the hotel is not worth what you pay. We were on our honeymoon trip and we chose a king overwater villa. As I said it was our honeymoon but the hotel didn't have not even a small attention. This is not mandatory, but I just mention it because the 4 star hotel in San Francisco in which we stayed before gave us a complimentary wine bottle our first night, just a small attention for a special stay. The service in this hotel is horrible: - young staff, most of it young french, with little or almost no experience, all running around during the dinner. - local staff not trained for a luxury hotel. - some of the staff members tolds us that everyone was mad with the management Breakfast: - Two types of food: 1 normal breakfast, another is asian food. Three of the five days we couldn't have any asian food because they didn't replenish when it was finished. We were not late, normally we went 1.5 hours before the end of breakfast time. - Fruit, salmon and other fresh food: There were no food covers, so flies were all over the food. - We asked for poached eggs: After 20 minutes waiting we asked for them and they had not placed the order. Restaurants: - Chinese restaurant: Food was ok, service slow but good. - Bar: Sushi was good, service was good. - Restaurant by the pool: Food was good, service was horrible. One dinner was specially bad. We asked for water and beer, they only brought the water. I had to ask for the beer three times. Waiters were running all around. We asked for two plates and they brought only my wife's. She finished her food and I still didn't have my food, so I asked again. They had forgotten my order, and when it finally arrived I had ordered no mayonaise and it had mayonaise. For all this at least the hamburger finally was complimentary. - French restaurant: Didn't go. Tours: - We got two excursions, jetski and 4x4 safari. Both were great, highly recommended. - After the safari I compared price on the local company website and I saw that the hotel charged about 30% more than the price. Ok, no problem there, they did the reservation so they must get a fee. The thing is that opposed to the jetski who pick you up in the hotel, the safari starts in the main island. Well, that 30% overcharge does not include the hotel boat shuttle to the main island which runs anyways, so you end up paying about 15 USD per person. So a 70 USD excursion finally sums up to 105 USD, that is 50% overcharge just for a phone call. When we were on the main island we saw a banner against the hotel. We asked in a jewelry and they told us that the locals were angry because there had been an inspection of the hotel from Europe, and it seems it didn't meet the standard of a luxury superior hotel. As a result 18 locals were fired. The jeweler told us that it was unfair because only the 4 Seasons has that standard and locals do not know what is expected, and it seems that the hotel should have trained their employees to meet the standard rather than firing them. When we returned I placed a complaint on their website. Never got an answer back, just a confirmation that the complaint was logged. In summary: - Beatiful hotel, beautiful island, everything is new and the overwater villas are spectacular. - Service is horrible. Probably due to the fact that it opened in April, but no adecuate training and almost no experienced staff. This is unacceptable, it is better not to open than to give a bad service. - Lots of time wasted waiting to be served, plenty of ways to use that time better. - I asked for the manager to raise a complaint, he was never available, never sent a note. - I was able to speak with the food&beverages manager. His only explanation is that they were having trouble with the kitchen. This should never reflect on the guests, but it clearly did. - Boat shuttle to the main island not included, so be prepared to pay 15 USD per person round trip. No services in the island apart from those of the hotel, so expect to go visiting the main island. - Try to book the tours by yourself. - Our honeymoon was not ruined, for us being together in such a nice place is enough, but we left with a feeling of total rip-off. - The hotel some day will be incredible, after some time and for sure with a new management team

"Luxury resort with 5 stars service "

We spent 6 days with my family at the Conrad Bora Bora Nui. We picked the Conrad vs. the Four Seasons because it was recently renovated. We were not disappointed. The hotel is gorgeous. It is the only resort on the motu with gorgeous views of the lagoon and the ocean. It is intimate, not crowded but everything is so well appointed and enjoyable. Every little detail has been thought through from the cute bicycles available throughout the resort, a gorgeous bar with transparent glass floor to enjoy the sea life at night while listening to live music, a beautiful spa with the most amazing view, and the infinity pool and beautiful beach. The Over water bungalows are amazing, with large sliding doors opening on a huge deck with catamaran nets. Everything in the bungalow is new and luxurious, modern but keeping the Polynesian style as expected, one of the most beautiful room we have stayed at. The restaurants are really good and the service is perfect. Everyone is so nice and so caring. They know you and take care of everything for you before you ask. This is classy and unpretentious as you would expect in a luxury hotel. The Management team and their staff are here to make your experience exceptional whether it is at the beach, at the reception or the restaurants. We had two days of rain but cannot think of one thing we would change. On top of being beautiful the ambience is very unique. We had a great stay that exceeded our expectations. We will be back next year. Thanks to the team for making this stay a great memory.

"Conrad Bora Bora Nui July 2017"

GO if you want nice and quiet accommodation. We chose the Conrad because it was new. The location of the resort is very private. There’s no other resorts around (the Four Season and the St. Regis are in a cluster on the opposite side of the lagoon). The compound is very nicely kept. It is clean and manicured. There are no mosquitoes! Our over the water bungalow was clean and spacious. It is Bluetooth ready so just bring your playlist (indoor and outdoor speakers). Snorkeling was fun right off our bungalow. The Conrad has small coral clusters all around the resort. Bring some bread and you will see a lot of tropical fish. Some are really big. Snorkeling gear are provided. You can also kayak, stand-up paddle-board, and paddle boat. The Conrad has bicycles (they need some new ones however) so it is a nice way to explore the resort. If you don’t want to walk (our bungalow was a little farther away from the dining area), you can be picked up by a golf cart to and from your bungalow. Breakfast was fair (same selection everyday…). The staff was attentive. We, however, enjoyed Iriatai, the French Concept restaurant on site. We had dinner three out of the five night stay. Herve Lorit, Manager of Iriata, was gracious and a fun conversationalist. His management skills reflected through his well-trained serving staff. Due to the time difference (six hours because we are on the east coast), I was yawning through my dessert. Herve had the staff delivered our dessert to our bungalow. He also made our anniversary dinner celebration a memorable one with champagne and celebratory cake. That was very nice service. What can the Conrad improve on? They do not need to charge $15 per person for a boat ride to Vaitape (it’s about a 10 minute ride to town). It takes away the first class service impression they are trying to become. I’d be more than happy to make a flat donation for the sustaining of the corals on site instead of being charged for a taxi boat ride. Also, turn down service needs to be consistent. We did not get the proper service on our last night. Overall, we had a nice experience at the Conrad Bora Bora Nui and we do not have a problem returning to this resort.

"A tropical paradise that will amaze you"

My wife and I spent 4 nights at this absolutely incredible beach resort We travelled there from Moorea, thinking that things could not get much better, but we were wrong. The Conrad Bora Bora Nui will spoil you for any other hotel you stay at. Everything was of the highest standard: the overwater villa was exceptionally roomy and well appointed, with the most beautiful view of the Pacific from the bed. The buffet breakfasts were excellent and the French restaurant world class. The only slight disappointment was the Chinese restaurant, which had a rather unimaginative and lacklustre menu. The beach and pool facilities all superb and each member of staff went to great lengths to ensure that their guests had the very best experience. This hotel is pricy but for a once in a lifetime experience, you will not be disappointed
