"hmm was OK"
So I emailed the hotel weeks before we got there asking to provide access to the room as we will land super early with our night flight. I was travelling with my toddler and I knew she will want to sleep as soon as we arrive. Unfortunately they couldn't give us a room until 12 noon. We arrived at the hotel at 7am so you can imagine how hard it was for my little girl. You would expect a five star hotel to have a space for guests to relax in even if the room is not ready. they did say we can go in the imperil club. We signed for the imperil club so had afternoon tea everyday this included things like sandwiches and sushi and salads etc... food was available from 2-7pm Ok so why do I say its ok. It was super big and super busy.. very much like an airport and if you have been to Singapore and stayed at Marina Bay I would say it was very much the same. this wasn't to my taste... but that's just my taste. the pool was always busy too. The buffet restaurants- food was standard. We also at the Garden Ramsey restaurant and that was disappointing. there is no soft play for children under the age of two. Which is a shame. In the imperial lounge they have a children's room but its wasted with just a table. They could update this and provide some soft play. Children menu is unhealthy. Pasta Pizza burger. No veggies or anything. the water park is dirty. but on the plus the staff are friendly this hotel was just not to my taste.. next time I would go to a smaller hotel. but if you like busy places this is good.
One of the best decisions was to stay at Atlantis palm. The room was very well designed and comfortable. The aquariums, water parks, restaurants and shopping centers gives a very unique and exotic feeling. The staff were very friendly.Hereafter my stay in Dubai will always be at the Atlantis.Overall a great place ðŸ‘
"Fabulous hotel and stay"
Location is amazing and would recommend the Aquarium to residents and non residents. Have their own desk at the airport so was very easy to get the taxi that they arranged. Unlikely to visit Dubai again but if I did would definately stay here!
"Overvalued, chaotic, burned out stuff… not worth the money you pay"
We stayed in Atlantis The Palm after a one week stay at the Grand Hyatt in Dubai. After spending the most wonderful time at the Hyatt our expectations about the Atlantis Hotel were high and we thought that we would have an even better time there… all wrong. This was most probably the worst hotel I have ever been too, the same goes for my husband who travels to Dubai for business on a regular basis and has quite a comparison with other 5 star Hotels Dubai has to offer. It all starts with the lengthy check in. Be prepared for a chaotic lobby and check in counters with lines of several people waiting for their check in – all in all it almost took an hour before we could go up to our room. We have been offered an “upgrade†to “Imperial Club†which as per the receptionist would grand us a “better†room with a better view and access to the Imperial Lounges (with afternoon snacks) and the Imperial Beach Club. Upon getting to our “better†room, first thing we had to call housekeeping because the guests before us must have spilled coffee all over the door and it was just more than dirty and disgusting and obviously not cleaned. Next thing, we had to wait for almost two hours until we received our luggage in the room and this only because we requested it to the guest service three times. Their attitude was snappish and being annoyed instead of helpful and apologizing. I would have loved to see the not upgraded room because the “better†one was nothing worth a five star luxury hotel, nothing special. No shampoo there (request it to the guest service), no space to stow away the luggage just a tiny cabinet, the view was nice however the balcony just above the terrace from the Imperial Lounge and Ayamna Restaurant with music until aprox. a 1 a.m. This was nothing compared to what we would experience the next day at breakfast. As Imperial Club guest, you can choose to have breakfast either up in the lounge on the 12th floor, at Saffron Restaurant or at Kaleidoscope Restaurant. We choose to have breakfast at Kaleidoscope. This was the most stressful, unpleasant breakfast I have had in my life. Either you have breakfast before 09:30 or be prepared to queue up for your breakfast table for almost 20 minutes! We choose to sit outside, none of the seat-cushions were clean, all stained with old coffee or whatever (not that I care but certainly not what you expect at a 5 star hotel!) The buffet itself compares more to a battlefield than a luxurious five star breakfast. The food offered ranges from industrial cake (the ones you buy at the next door supermarket for a dollar – nothing homemade or fresh) to precooked poached eggs which were already grey-ish from the time they were laying in the pan already. Do yourself a favor and avoid having breakfast there! Breakfast up in the Imperial Lounge is less of a battlefield however the buffet itself is very small, meaning it also gets very crowded. Eggs are ordered directly to the waiter, meaning fresh eggs for you only if you are Imperial Club member. The same goes for Egg-cups. No Eggcups down at Kaleidoscope for the non Imperial Guests! Don’t try to ask a waiter for one – they will either disappear in the Kitchen and just don’t come back or ignore you! The Imperial Lounge for the Afternoon Snacks is also nothing special, the food offered is the one you can also get at any random train station - sandwiches, some fruits, chips! That’s it. All in all, not a bad place as such but certainly not worth the money you pay for it! We will not repeat – you can much better hotels and service in Dubai for this money!
"Do not stay here if you want peace and quiet "
Currently staying here with two young children. Last night the music from the nightclub boomed until 2am and the children couldn't sleep. We've been here four days and that is the second night of continuous music. Make sure you bring any medicines etc you need for children. Despite this being such a huge "family focuses hotel" they have no onsite pharmacy or assistance if, like me, you run out of calpol in the middle of the night. The closest pharmacy is a 20 minute taxi journey away.
