"Awesome location for the price"
We came to Jackson Hole for a birthday ski getaway and wanted to stay slope side. This is really the only reasonably priced option in Teton village. The walk to the tram is very short even in ski boots. Although it is not a fancy hotel, it is clean and not run down. The breakfast is mediocre but a quick way to get some calories and get on the slopes.
"Good Sausages. Burning Water. Phenomenal Wifi."
I've been searching for a place to stay for my first visit to Jackson Hole Wyoming. I was traveling with a group of 4. We were here to check out the Grand Teton national park and Yellowstone national park but mainly to checkout Americas #1 ranked ski destination and their new 2017 Sweetwater Gondola. So we wanted to stay as close as possible to the mountain without over killing the budget. That's when we found this place. For the location it's in and it being prime time season for skiing and snowboarding I couldn't complain too much about the $265/night price. You're literally within a 5 minute walk to just about everything. The rental store, the lifts/trams, restaurants, the parking lot, or shopping. You're also a 5 minute drive away from the grand teton national park south entrance. Only 12 miles away from jackson city/downtown. The rooms are small, as well as the beds and rest room. The standard rooms do not come with a microwave or fridge, but if you ask the front desk they can bring one to your room if they have one available. Luckily for us they had a fridge but no microwave. The wifi worked phenomenally throughout the resort. There's only 1 trash bin in the room and it's located in the bathroom. There is a restaurant called Malaka's on site, but it is not worth visiting unless you enjoy bad service, but that's a different review. The outdoor pool is heated, the Jacuzzi is nice and hot. There is NO gym on site. The morning breakfast buffet is your typical breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon or sausages (changes every other day), potatoes, cereal, pudding, oatmeal, bagels, and an assortment of fluids. I must say the sausages are actually pretty good. Hot cocoa is always good to take on the go in the cold weather. Now here's the part that was both upsetting and annoying. The water temperature in the shower was very inconsistent. I like to take HOT showers, and I mean hot to where it's as hot as I can take it. So a lot of hot water, and a little bit of cold water in the mixture, just enough for it to be comfortable for me. Unfortunately, every time that someone, maybe in another room or elsewhere, would turn on their water or flush the toilet or use the sink, it would fluctuate the temperature of the water in my shower head and would either burn me because the water was too hot, or freeze me because it was too cold. This happened every few minutes and believe me it hurt when that water would turn full heat! This happened all 4 nights I was there, room 132. So other than the water temperature inconsistency, this place isn't so bad. Pros: Location Perfect wifi Good Sausages Cons: Only 1 on site restaurant No fridge/microwave in every room No gym available. Inconsistent water temperature in the shower.
"Romantic snow time"
Just the easiest and best place in Jackson. I really don't want to write much more.... but TA says I have to.... If you want a lot of action stay somewhere else. This isn't walking distance to anywhere and really difficult to see from the highway. Not great for children or parties- food is ok- and noisy types aren't welcome. It's an amazing stay for ease and chill- hope it stays that way.
"Poor conditions, way over price!!!!"
We stayed five days in this hotel with the family and were very disappointed. We were so much looking forward to this ski vacation but unfortunately the condition of the room and the service impacted our vacation negatively. With the price we paid (>$500 per night) we were hoping for much more than just a “road motel†Some of the issues we had 1. Sagging mattress (see picture). 2. Very noise air-condition. The only mode of heating system in this room 3. Breakfast buffet was very basic, less options when comparing to other basic hotel chain. 4. our room was on the 4th floor with the service of only one old elevator which took "forever" to arrive 5. Appearance of the room look old. Require some renovation 6. Stairs to the "loft" were very steep and scary. In addition we had to cut our stay by one day due to a sick daughter but hotel refused to help us to get someone else instead or to refund us if they rent the room out (which we think they did). I would not recommend this place to anyone!
"Ski Vacation "
It was a ripoff. We were in a bind because we stayed at the end of December. The hotels in the area were all booked. The pictures of the property were deceiving and exude unwarranted flattery of a subpar hotel. When we checked in I asked if we could upgrade to a slightly better room. The desk clerk told me $75 upcharge. I asked for the manager. He didn't budge on the price. Our room was on the third floor. No elevator. The manager took our bags but I question the wisdom of a 3 story building without an elevator. It makes perfect sense when you see the hodge podge of design with no interior halls. It's more of a glorified motel. The staff was friendly and professional except when I told the desk clerk I needed a replacement key. This was my first contact with her so she definitely didn't recognize me. She asked my room number and gave me a key. The problem is she never verified my identity. Thus anyone could have access to any room by simply asking for a key. We paid $322/night for the room. The day after we checked out the price per night fell to $110. In a word: RIPOFF!!
