You get what you pay for! The price is good, BUT the sink was clogged, there was a 3/4" gap around the entire door, and it was snowing and 17 degrees outside! If you get a room near the Saloon, you get to listen to the bass and drums from a horrible band until 2:00 in the morning! And drunk loud mouth yelling cowboys!!! I Stayed the weekend of Dec. 2nd, 2016, and the worst part were the employees! The front desk employees were IGNORANT, RUDE and snotty!!!! I wouldn't stay here for FREE!!! I don't need people being rude to me on a vacation!!!

"Great place to stay"

We came out of Yellowstone due to weather and we're looking for a place to stay because all RV parks are shut at this time of the year. This is a great little haven to stay, it's warm, clean, reasonably priced and close to places to get an evening meal. We stayed two nights so we could see the Tetons once the weather cleared, would highly recommended.

Booked here online and, as is sometimes the case, it looked a lot better in cyberspace. The property itself isn't bad but the rooms are almost lurid in their ugliness. No charm or thought given to anything. Stains on the carpet and the bedspread. Didn't want to think what I might find if I turned down the bed. Mildewed bathroom. Took less than 10 minutes to make up my mind. We were hungry so went to the Virginian Restaurant where the food was so bad we just stared at it and left even hungrier. On the way back to the front office to cancel, we passed by several rooms with their doors wide open and their occupants lounging on their beds in their underwear. Have we become THAT casual?! I'm no prude but come ON! That's not the kind of scenery I have in mind when I think of Wyoming! If you're desperate for a night's sleep, okay. Otherwise...don't!

"It was Okay!"

Our stay at the Virginian Lodge was a one night stay as a part of a Caravan Bus Tour. Admittedly the motel is dated but the room was clean, the beds were comfortable, there was a TV, refrigerator and a microwave. The bathroom was the most dated but it too was clean and we managed very nicely. The motel was near some restaurants and shops and the good thing was it was near to the Gun Barrel Steakhouse which we enjoyed tremendously. Our only negative comment had to do with the music that was playing in the bar. Our room was very close to the bar and we could hear the band playing until 2:00 AM. I managed to sleep through it but my GF who is a light sleeper could not. If you happen to find yourself staying at the Virginian on a weekend, stay as far from the barroom as you can.

"Reasonable Cost - But Youi Get What You Pay For!"

My Wife & I stayed here 4 nights while visiting the Jackson area. We chose the Virginian Lodge mostly based on price and availability. Understand this is a very old hotel and the rooms have not been updated since maybe the 70's. The bed was hard, which my wife liked, me not so much. The shower nozzle was at about 5' high at the most. So you have to bend your legs to wash your hair. The mini-refrigerator didn't get very cold. The lodge does offer other amenities; there is a bar/saloon, liquor store, and a restaurant right next door that's pretty good; open for breakfast & lunch only. We looked at most of the other hotels in the area and this seemed to have the best rates. But again you get what you pay for usually. The fours nights we were there the place looked full every night. I thought the front desk help could have been a little more friendly when we checked in.
