"It was Okay!"

Our stay at the Virginian Lodge was a one night stay as a part of a Caravan Bus Tour. Admittedly the motel is dated but the room was clean, the beds were comfortable, there was a TV, refrigerator and a microwave. The bathroom was the most dated but it too was clean and we managed very nicely. The motel was near some restaurants and shops and the good thing was it was near to the Gun Barrel Steakhouse which we enjoyed tremendously. Our only negative comment had to do with the music that was playing in the bar. Our room was very close to the bar and we could hear the band playing until 2:00 AM. I managed to sleep through it but my GF who is a light sleeper could not. If you happen to find yourself staying at the Virginian on a weekend, stay as far from the barroom as you can.

"Reasonable Cost - But Youi Get What You Pay For!"

My Wife & I stayed here 4 nights while visiting the Jackson area. We chose the Virginian Lodge mostly based on price and availability. Understand this is a very old hotel and the rooms have not been updated since maybe the 70's. The bed was hard, which my wife liked, me not so much. The shower nozzle was at about 5' high at the most. So you have to bend your legs to wash your hair. The mini-refrigerator didn't get very cold. The lodge does offer other amenities; there is a bar/saloon, liquor store, and a restaurant right next door that's pretty good; open for breakfast & lunch only. We looked at most of the other hotels in the area and this seemed to have the best rates. But again you get what you pay for usually. The fours nights we were there the place looked full every night. I thought the front desk help could have been a little more friendly when we checked in.

"Clean but dated"

We stayed here the night before our flight back home. Our room was large, a king size bed, table with four chairs, and a sofa. The room was clean but dated with paneling on the walls and an older but clean bathroom vanity. It did have a small fridge and microwave in the room, but no coffee maker. They have coffee available at the front desk 24 hours a day, but it was quite a walk from our room which was at the back of the property and on the second floor. The front desk was friendly even though they were busy as there were no vacancies plus they have the RV park. It is on the outskirts of town, but it wasn't that far from where we needed to return our rental car. If you want to be close to town then this isn't for you, but if you want a quieter place away from the hustle of downtown this might be the place for you. Remember you are going to pay two to three times the price for a hotel here compared to many other places but if you want to be near Yellowstone that is the going rate. We spent two nights in West Yellowstone and paid over $239 a night for a Best Western during the week in September.

"Cozy place"

It's like stepping back into the 50's. Room was clean and beds nice. Also had a small refrigerator. Too cold to use the pool. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Service with a smile. Not close to town so have to take a taxi or walk.

"vacation to yellowstone"

stayed here on september 19th, 2016. rooms not clean. furniture very old, carpet not clean. would rather have paid higher price for nice room downtown.seem like nothing done to rooms since opening in late 60's. check in person was not friendly. saw help doing laundry and taking sheets from dryer and laying on floor of laundry room
