"Sun? Diving? Food? Birds? Paradise? Read on to find out."

Ann and I booked through 'Just Tobago' for a fortnight's stay at the Blue Waters Inn in Tobago. Super service and on holiday support from them. We will book through them again. If you love bird spotting, tropical rain forest, scuba diving, tasty food freshly prepared, butterflies and local colour, then this is the location for you. It is quiet at this hotel but that is due to being tucked away at the end of the island away from the Capital called Scarborough. Most of the people who we met at the resort were there to spot and admire the bird life. In brief: Hotel facilities were of good . Rooms; assorted standards according to taste. Our Superior Beach front room (40) was clean, spacious with air conditioning and a central overhead fan. Good lighting ,good bathroom fitted with a walk in shower. Toiletries provided and topped up daily. Clean towels daily if required. Lovely bed. Bit shy on bedroom fittings but this did not stop us enjoying the room. Coffee making percolator which served to make cups of tea as well. Our kettle we took failed to boil despite being dual voltage. The downstairs rooms have a small patio area with chairs and side table supplied. Good outside lighting provided if you want to sit out and read after dark. The beach was less than six feet away. A Hummingbird feeder was outside our room which had regular visitors. Restaurant and bar were very pleasant and opened towards the sea. Wind was not a problem most days whilst dining. Food selection was varied and freshly prepared upon ordering. The served food was tasty and well presented as well as a pleasure to eat. Fresh catch of the day (fish) was cooked to perfection. The bar was well stocked with a selection of wines to beers and rum of course. The Staff were very friendly and keen to make your stay as perfect as possible. In the restaurant were some characters who livened your day, mainly Erica and Addiola. Oswyn on the bar was also a fun guy, always keen to help. Head cook ' Betty' often popped out of the kitchen to check how we all were with the cooking. Reception staff were also very helpul. The Scuba shop was an excellent establishment. Tiam and his fellow divers, Kiki, Joel and Leeter provided a grand array of dives using well serviced gear. They looked after me in a very considerate and caring manner. The dive boat is well kitted and can cover the oceon in a short time. Most dive sites are within a 10 minute journey. Overall My Wife and I rated it 9/10 for the Hotel and 10/10 for diving. We are planning to go back next year to explore more of the island. You can hire local taxi drivers to take you round on tours, we used Lesley who knows the best restaurants to visit while out on trips. Very reasonably priced.

"An amazing get away from it all holiday"

   20-04-2017
I recently spent a week here with my son and his family. We were returning after a previous visit 3 years ago and it was every bit as lovely as we had remembered. Its in a remote part of the island which is quite unspoilt and perfect for a relaxing holiday. Bit of a trek to get there as its over an hour from the airport but well worth the journey. Our rooms were just a few steps from the beach and the warm sea with fabulous views. The staff were all very laid back, friendly and helpful. Erica, Avion and Dora made us very welcome as did other staff whose names I can't remember. The menu was more extensive than on our last visit and the service seemed slow because the food was freshly prepared but with the wonderful views from the dining room we were in no rush! There are kayaks which can be taken out and scuba diving is also available as well as several trips to the forests, goat island and bird watching. If you want lots of night life this is not for you but if you want a totally relaxing, away from it all this is a paradise. We hope to return.

"Great at the end of abad road."

This hotel and diving resort offer their services prompt and great,. AND. They accept VISA which is rare on Tobago. A bit pricy the hotel . Lobster is sold without its claws. Diven excellent value. Other diving centers can be a bit of a rip off.

"Beautiful location and excellent service"

   13-04-2017
Blue Waters Inn is situated right on the water in Speyside, Tobago. The atmosphere is open, clean and simple yet elegant. Our room was very orderly and maintained a nice, consistent feeling which is sometimes hard to find in the Caribbean. We could count on it being cleaned daily, towels stocked, etc. The staff, especially at the front desk and the bar was super friendly and helpful. Again, the entire place was elegant but simple enough to feel comfortable with our three year old running around. I would definitely recommend Blue Waters Inn, especially for divers since the place has their own dive center on campus.

"Relaxing hotel in stunning location"

   12-04-2017
We loved this hotel, though I would have liked a downstairs room with a view - the sea was almost totally blocked out from our upstairs balcony (Room 32) by an enormous tree. The food was beautifully cooked and portions good, and the service in the restaurant and bar was excellent - staff frequently apologised for the wait when there really hadn't been one. The menu doesn't change, but we felt it was varied enough for this not to matter; you are advised, however, to ask "What's off?" before ordering as it was fairly frequent for certain items to be unavailable though we stayed for a fortnight and had no difficulty in finding something delicious to eat every night. The staff were lovely - so obliging and helpful in organising trips out etc. Our room was cleaned well each morning, and the shower worked/drained properly. The tea/coffee supplies were not always topped up, which meant a trip to reception on several nights - but that always resulted in a friendly chat and joke so we didn't mind. By the time we left we had three safes in our room, all placed on top of one another - I guess someone could have walked out with two of them, but they didn't! We found that maintenance staff arrived promptly to sort out the safe. Wi-fi was a bit temperamental but reception staff were extremely helpful in helping with this. Tobago is not as developed as some other Caribbean islands, so don't expect lots of touristy shops at the Blue Waters end of the island but that did not detract from our enjoyment of the place at all. It would be good if the humming bird feeders were kept topped up If you want to guarantee trips with Newton George - who is an excellent guide, especially birds - it may be a good idea to email him before you go.
