"A true getaway! "

   27-05-2017
Visited BWI for 5 days with some friends in bungalow 8 & 9 and it was nothing shortage of amazing. The rooms were beautiful, the ocean is literally a few feet away, we saw turtles swimming every day ,the hotel is peaceful and ideal for anyone that wants a true getaway. We were able to truly unwind, enjoy nature and just relax!! I have to give special mention to Dora and Erica! They both have the warmest smiles and went beyond the call of duty to ensure we were well taken care of. We even got 'cuddles' from Erica because she just wanted to share some love, so now we all have a new mommy in Tobago.... sweet for days! The accommodation was also impeccable and the food options were ample and top notch. Oh, the rum punches are the best we've ever had so we had some fun times around the vanishing edge pool with maybe one too many . As a result, Kim the bartender was kind enough to bring us freshly cut coconut water in the nut which was so refreshing and kept us going. We also went out to little Tobago which was an incredible experience. The Japanese coral garden was breathtaking. Though I'm not a snorkel lover, I couldn't resist taking a dive in the crystal blues waters and what an incredible experience that was!! Would highly recommend for divers or anyone wanting to snorkel a bit. All together, I would highly recommend BWI for anyone that wants to seriously unwind from the hustle and bustle of every day life. It's a little gem, a perfect getaway.

"Awesome! We arrived as return visitors but left as friends and family!!"

We were so impressed with Blue Waters Inn, the staff and location last year that we simply had to return again for another holiday this year! As beautiful and friendly as ever and great to see everyone again. We had a fabulous upstairs balcony view of the bay and outlying islands of Little Tobago and Goat Island. There are also some trees which give you great views of the birdlife including hummingbirds darting through the branches. We received such a warm welcome on our arrival and every day had friendly greetings from all the staff. Whilst the northern part of the island is less developed than round by the airport and Crown Point, it is also idyllic and peaceful with a lot to see and experience. We didn't feel the need for a car to get around as you can arrange for tours through reception and some of the staff can also take you to various locations. There are also guides who come to the hotel on a daily basis and can assist with sightseeing. Englishman's Bay is worth a day visit. We had another couple of deep sea fishing trips with Captain Smithy and had a wonderful time with him. On this visit we walked through the rain forest on the Gilpin Trace, which isn't too strenuous - truly exceptional - but smother yourself in bug repellent. You can do Pigeon Point, Nylon Pool and No Man's Land in a day trip. Occasionally sargasso seaweed is washed up on the beach, but was regularly cleared (this is the ocean after all) and the beach and pool were well maintained as before. Snorkelling in the bay was good - especially on the left hand side of the jetty. It is also peak time for the turtles to lay their eggs - a memorable experience that is definitely one for the bucket list. For tours of Cocoa Plantation and lesser known venues such as Richmond House and the Kimme Museum, it is essential to make an appointment well in advance. Tobago is experiencing problems with the cargo carriers from Trinidad - they have to import everything, so occasionally particular items may be out of stock, but not for long. The restaurant is happy to cater for any special requests with some notice - we brought back a king fish we had caught from one fishing trip and it was beautifully filleted and cooked by Betty. I also tried some garlic shrimp - delicious! There is a desire to introduce even more local specialities on the menu, so it is always worth enquiring if you fancy trying some plantain, dasheen etc alongside the menu options of crab dumplings, flying fish, daily catch etc. Many many thanks to Avion, Pinky, Dora, Adeola, Rheanna, Marva, Jeanette, Chinyera and Marissa for the friendly service and helping us with our day to day needs (and anyone else I may have inadvertently omitted), to Erica for her smiles and hugs, to Sylester and Kim for their constant supply of rum punch, to Jason and Betty for our requests to cook the fish we caught and superb local cuisine - but especially to Oswyn for looking after us... again with rum punches, but also for showing us more of Tobago, arranging tours and for his own hospitality and kindness. We had a wonderful time and were sorry to leave - but we'll be back! Please thank everyone for us and pass on our warmest wishes.

"Group trip to Blue Waters Inn"

   22-05-2017
small group of divers arrived in april 2017. I had a 1st floor ocean front room. a/c worked great. slow to get hot water but ok. room was clean, bed made, and was done each day. We had a meal plan. Service was slow, its the islands, Everything I had was good and made to order. There is a bar on site as well. Did not use the pool. Wifi was slow

"Absolutely fabulous"

   17-05-2017
The service was impeccable. Our accommodations were out of this world. We were lucky enough to stay in bungalow # 9. We had our on private porch and hot tub and stairs to the beach. It was our anniversary and when we arrived the bed was covered with rose petals and had balloons attached to the bed. Some of the wonderful staff we encountered were Marva-front desk, Jason F/B manager, Kim, Oswyn, Sylister-bar staff and Erica and Dora our wonderful servers. Those are just some of the people on their great staff.

"Blue Waters Delight"

   14-05-2017
We have just returned from our fifth holiday to Tobago, staying at BWI this year after visiting on a day trip previously. For us the Hotel is just what we needed, secluded, beautiful views with a superb team of staff who would do everything that was needed to ensure the needs of their clients were met. The restaurant breakfast, lunch and evening menu offer enough variety for boredom not to set in, so for those who complain about a lack of variety I am at a loss to know what it is that they require to be added! The location of the beach means that due to tidal surges rather a lot of seaweed is washed up however the hotel staff do regularly clean up which is a never ending task for them. The room was well appointed however did smell very damp on our arrival but after a day or two of having the air con on and airing the room this dissipated. May be the hotel could air the rooms and switch the air con on an hour or two before arrival to make the first impression as you walk in a little better ? Despite this we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have booked to return in 2018! Thank you to all of the team who work at BWI for making our ten days an absolute delight.
