Las Vegas is vooral bekend vanwege de extravagante casino's en thema-hotels. De bekendste bevinden zich aan de Strip, een 4 mijl (6,4 km) lang stuk van de Las Vegas Boulevard. Las Vegas herbergt sinds jaren de grootste amusementsindustrie ter wereld. Veel bekende artiesten traden en treden op in Las Vegas, zoals Elvis Presley, Tom Jones, Barry Manilow, Céline Dion en zelfs 'onze eigen' Hans Klok.
"Great hotel Wonderful staff."
From day 1 staff were friendly and very helpful...the front desk, the bellboys, the waiters, the room attendants and managers. Everything they did makes you feel that they want their guests to enjoy being there and be comfortable. Will definitely stay there again if we re-visit.

Room was OK, no Diamond upgrade available so we had a king bungalow with a balcony overlooking the pool. Would be nice if the pool had been open. Close to Starbucks was the big plus. Room was clean, albeit late each day and had to call front desk for bath towels. Visited the spa which was strange. My massage was great, but the spa itself lacks many things. The person who checked me in referred to me as the "pickup" when he called someone on the phone to come and take me to the back. No real spa like feeling. Restaurants were wonderful. Did not gamble much here. Good free parking. All in all, the only way I could tell it was a Doubletree was getting the cookie upon check-in. No Hilton benefits at all.

The room was very nice, newly renovated, nicely appointed, comfortable beds. The buffet was pricey, but nice. The snack bar was outrageously expensive, for very poor quality food. Had to try another restaurant at MGM. The casino didn't work at all. The slots never paid, so I will never play there again. Lost big time.
"What a disappointment"
We visited this hotel as a family of four to attend a family wedding. The hotel was selected because of the advertised 'best pool complex in the Strip'. With several families from our wedding party also booking at this hotel for the same reason and due to having young children in the party we were more than disappointed to find that one of the pool areas already closed on our arrival. We arrived on Wednesday 19.10.16 and by Sunday 23.10.16 the other pool also closed. The Receptionist was unhelpful saying all pools in Vegas had closed and they'd also advertised the closure on their website. Both things were untrue. After I had said that other hotels in Vegas still had their pools open and we knew this because we had family staying at several she then decided to offer the use of Hooters Hotel pool. Not somewhere for young children and if we had wanted to use the pool of another hotel surely we would have booked there in the first place. So again staff giving untrue information. The hotel is past its best. The staff need training in customer services. We had a list of problems from fridges and irons not working, blocked toilets, a prostitute offering her services to one of our party and it went on and on. Raised the issues with the Receptionist and I was offered $50 for the food lost in the faulty fridge. This was accepted as it was for the lost food we had bought for the children. Checked out of the hotel at the end of our stay and settled the small bill from one bar purchase and one breakfast. Received a printed document showing the account was clear. Returned home only to find that after our check out the hotel had made a further charge of $76.50 against our card - after we had left and without our consent or knowledge. It took many emails and finally a call to our travel operator and their intervention to get the matter sorted. A formal complaint about the hotel to our travel operator led to them contacting the hotel as is usual practice. The hotel claimed we were given the $50 credit (mentioned earlier) to compensate for the pool closure!!! $50 to pay for a week's additional expenses we hadn't expected for keeping two children entertained as there was nothing else in the hotel for them - I don't think so! The customer service at this place is non existent and I would not recommend the hotel to anyone. We've never had such a disappointing stay anywhere and it spoiled our children's first trip ro the USA. We will not be visiting here again nor will any of our party.
We were pleasantly surprised at how nice our room was. Comfortable bed and nice size room. The biggest negative is that there are no coffee makers in the rooms. The only appliance was a hair dryer. I would stay here again.
