"Fantastic price for location!"
I was in Toronto for a quick 2 day business trip and I was not disappointed with these accommodations! The price can't be beat and I heard virtually no noise (3rd floor). The staff was wonderful, the room was spacious and very clean. The free wifi was an added bonus that I wasn't expecting. I will definitely be staying here again and would recommend this hotel to anyone.
"Did not meet expectations"
Here is what the description of our room was when we booked: "Newly renovated, contemporary style Business Class room with 1 Queen bed. Guestrooms include all the features of our Standard Guestrooms PLUS glass shower, natural light in bathroom, upgraded guest amenities including bottled water, robe, cordless speaker telephones and free HSIA/WiFi. All rates in Canadian dollars based on Double Occupancy. Non-smoking." What we got did not match this description. No glass shower, no natural light in bathroom, no bottled water, no robe, no cordless phones (who cares about that anyway?) and to get our free wifi I had to phone them for a code, which should have been given to us at check-in. When I told the front desk that the room did no match the description, they told me it was because the description matched what the room looked like before the renovation, even though the description says "newly renovated" right in it. The room was clean and service was fine, if curt, but we did not get what we paid for and what we were told we would get. The location is fine if you want to shop at Eaton's Centre etc. but after a couple of days in Toronto, there are definitely better locations to stay.
Whilst location isn't best with many homeless people in the vicinity this hotel is really good. Reasonable priced clean hotel. Nice friendly staff. Donna was so nice and helpful. Only downside is that you have to pay for wifi. Near underground station but not far to walk to the many of the cities central location. We would stay here again. Nice cafe attached to hotel. Not sure if it belongs to hotel though.
"Outstanding hospitality "
My three-night stay was amazing! Donna, the concierge, was so very helpful in assisting me on where to visit and Zia, Driver, was great to take me to airport and Keith the manager was so kind to print my boarding pass. It's the Kind gestures that are priceless to me. The room and location were just fine and walking distance to tour buses made a big difference. I would definitely stay again.
"Great location, small room/beds"
Ok so this place is definitely all about location...which is absolutely great - very central and close to several metro stations. If you don't mind a little city walking, you don't even need the subway; it's about a 20 to 30 mins walk to the harbour and many other attractions such as Nathan Philipps square or CN tower are even closer... The room we had was nothing fancy and pretty small - and so were our beds...seriously, if you're taller than 1,80 you've got a problem there... Anyway, everything seemed clean and staff was helpful. You do have to pay for wifi, about $11 per stay and for each device you wanna be online with. We stayed 4 nights, no car, so the location was our first priority.
