"Great Vacation at Divi Phoenix"

   17-01-2017
Recent stay at the Divi Phoenix end of December into first week of January. We stayed in the Tower, our friends stayed in the newer building. We both had a one bedroom units. The newer bldg. has two bathrooms with walk in showers and a jacuzzi. Ours had one bathroom, with a tub/showe/jacuzzi combo. The newer bldg. also has a washing machine/ dryer combo. If you have trouble getting into a deep tub/shower, ask for the newer bldg. AC is good, quieter in the newer bldg. but not an issue in the tower. Overall, the staff was great, the facility was clean, the beds-king size- (a little springy, but not soft) and pillows were very good. The sheets were very nice. The bedroom in the tower is huge, the balcony is very nice, and the kitchen is well equipped. I would be happy in either bldg, and because we stayed an extra few days, we did try the newer bldg. Both buildings were very quiet. I have one complaint which I voiced to management. While on vacation I don't want to be bothered getting up early and saving palapas and chairs. We have gone to Aruba for years. This custom is so passé. Hilton and Hyatt allow guests to pay in advance for a palapa for the time of your stay. At first I thought it was awful to pay for this, but truthfully, I would rather do that. It's so uncivilized to have to get up and throw towels over your chairs early in the morning. Also, we took our own chairs and lounges. If you needed help you could find someone, but usually people got their own chairs. If I were an owner, I would be rather annoyed- who wants to get up on vacation to save chairs and space? The beach is fine- there is some plant life, and some rocks in the water, not quite as nice as Hyatt and HIlton, but would not deter me from another visit. I would have to think about the palapa issue- it's annoying. Restaraunt for lunch was good, we used the bbq as well. People very friendly, staff very helpful. A very nice facility.

"Divi Vacation Club Rip Off"

   17-01-2017
Warning to anyone seeking a time share at the Divi Vacation Club. We did the tour back in Oct. 2016 signed up for ownership in a week at the resort. To make a long story short, we got home and decided the fees were too high and the contract said we would get a refund if we cancelled within 5 days. At least that's what the sales people led us to believe. Of course you have to read the fine print which we didn't notice. Even though I cancelled within the 5 days they keep 3% of the purchase price and a document fee. In my case this ended up being over $1000.00. I just got off the phone with Patric Davis from Divi who said it's in the contract and didn't care if we didn't see it and refused to give me a refund. I lost over $1k and feel they should have made this clearer at the time. An expensive lesson for sure. I told him I was going to put this on the internet but he didn't care. Nice people right? Is there anyone else on the Island I can file a complaint with? Not only that, they cancelled the free week we got for taking the tour.

"Great service, clean, and a wonderful place to stay"

   17-01-2017
I have been going to the Divi Phoenix (not the Tower as there is a huge difference in the Rooms being lessor in size in the Tower) for eight (8) years straight and have found the service great, the rooms are always spacious and clean, and just a great place to stay. Is it perfect - no. Could they use some improvements on better food - sure. But I can also state that the Four Seasons in Maui their food and drinks are way too expensive for what you get. My summary is that if you rate a resort on price, quality, views, service, amenities, etc. then I would give the Divi Phoenix a 5 out of 5. The Phoenix has a great swim-up Pool Bar and the staff work hard to serve you. I also like the fact that you can walk to so many restaurants, clubs, beach activities, and casinos. I have stayed at the Divi Links in Aruba which is very nice but no ocean view and the Divi Little Bay Resort in St. Maartin which you need to taxi to get anywhere but for me and my family the Divi Phoenix is the best.

"Will be back June 25,2017 for 2 weeks."

   17-01-2017
Been to Aruba More than twelve times. The best place buy far is Aruba Phoenix Beach Resort. Close to everything. We always rent a jeep, but the bus runs right out front. The beach is very good. Been to every beach and like this one the best Baby beach is great, but like Phoenix more.

"Lack of Breakfast!!!!"

   15-01-2017
As an owner - each year we ask can we please just have a simple breakfast at the Pure Ocean...but they continue to not listen and serve the same buffet day after day - year after year. It is PRICEY!. The alternative is to go to the Deli and get a microwaved rubber something or other. So we walk to Gilligans, or to the Rock or to Salt and Pepper. Now we spend more time at the Divi Links and of yes we can get a Buffet if we choose but we can also get a breakfast we like! Same owner, different management, one with ears and one with deaf ears. Come on Divi...wake up this is why so many people go elsewhere or cook in their rooms. Shame on you for not listening!!!
