Een vakantie Aruba staat natuurlijk in het teken van relaxen aan een van de mooie stranden op het eiland. Eagle Beach en Druif Beach zijn twee van de mooiere stranden van Aruba.

"Met my expectations"

I stayed at the hotel Oct 6 - Oct 10th, one week after Hurricane Matthew passed nearby. My vacation was originally planned for the week before but the flight was cancelled due to Matthew and the hotel shifted our accommodations, which was great. The the room had all the amenities I was looking for...kitchenette, washer, dryer, pull out couch, safe and patio area. The room was kept clean however I did find a broken glass below my bed, that was there from a previous stay. The hotel has 3 pools, but the largest pool was closed for maintenance. The other two pools were usually full. Guests in the pool closest to my room were pretty noisy at times. Biggest downside is the lack of wifi in the rooms. I was only able to get wifi in the patio area or at some points around the grounds Overall it was a pleasant stay, staff were attentive and the hotel was conveniently located for accessing public transportation. The beach opposite isn't the best beach on the island but still a great beach to relax at. I will stay at Divi Aruba again.

"Great 2 week stay in a studio unit"

We just came home from a two week stay at the Divi Village (Room 7101) and it was a wonderful vacation. The oceanfront studio on the first floor was roomy and spacious and we had a great view of the beach. The beach across the street was fabulous. The ocean was clear for the most part and the sand was beautiful. Due to the renovation of the infinity pool, the other pool was quite crowded but it was still great. Mulligan's Restaurant overlooking the golf course had a wonderful atmosphere and the food was good and reasonably priced. The only complaint that I have was that the wifi was poor in the rooms. I could not get wifi on my laptop and the wifi I had on my cell phone was weak and often cut out. Overall a great experience and would definitely recommend.

"Disgusted by the customer service"

Although we were given hardly any information about the hotel and its amenities at the check out, we were pleased to be given an apartment with a sea view which we were more than happy about after a long tiring flight. We soon found out why we were given such a nice room. The main pool featured in all pictures online was closed and the whole pool area was one big building site with a lot of dirt and noise. No one had mentioned anything on the website at the time of booking or at check in. Staff were giving different/wrong information and no one seemed to know what was going on. No kind of apology and we were given an attitude from the staff. One night the hob started 'clicking' in the middle of the night - we were told off by the maintenance person for getting water in the hob buttons which caused the clicking noise. All fixed in an hour. Wifi barely worked in the room, we had to go on the balcony if we wanted to get online. The cherry on top of the cake was a phone call from the hotel rep who called to ask if everything was OK - they didn't expect any complaints and absolutely no idea about the pool situation. The beach - the only good thing about this holiday- was beautiful but I would be very disappointed if I spent a lot of money and came here with family or to get married here (we saw a couple of weddings). There is a lot of negative reviews and they are here for a reason. And for some strange reason I cannot upload pictures of the pool... But other members have been able to so please have a look at those

"Great location"

The accommodations are spacious. Views galore. Several great restaurants on sight. Staff is friendly but service was slow and at times non-existent. Located just a short ride to shopping or downtown. Golf course is well maintained.

"Terrible Customer Service"

We were just in Aruba for 2 weeks. The first week, I booked 3 rooms at Dutch Village and asked if they could be all in the same building, we were getting married on the property and wanted our family close by. Apparently that was too much to ask, as we were scattered throughout the property. The front desk was also no help in finding us rooms closer together. Our unit was close to the construction going on in the building behind us....waking me up at 7am each day we were in that room. The second week, we checked into a golf villa, to find that we were adjacent to another construction zone....the infinity pool remodel. As it was our honeymoon, I again requested a room change from the front desk, and again I was denied. Every day of the second week I was awake before 730am due to the noise from the pool renovation. I noticed that we were the only ones staying in the freestanding buildings next to the pool renovation. I mentioned my concerns to both the front desk staff and the owners relations staff. Unfortunately the front desk staff was unwilling to help and the owners relation agent only wanted to sell me points. Please forward this review to the general manager of the Aruba Divi, as I feel there is no excuse for a resort such as this to be completely unwilling to assist an owner with the simple request of a room change.
