Een vakantie Aruba staat natuurlijk in het teken van relaxen aan een van de mooie stranden op het eiland. Eagle Beach en Druif Beach zijn twee van de mooiere stranden van Aruba.

This is NOT the Divi Dutch Village - Thomson/First Choice website links to the wrong property. If you want reviews of the Tamarijn Suites at Divi Dutch Village that Tui Group offer, search for reviews of Divi Dutch Village. Completely different resort! Divi Golf has great pool for kids with a slide. Not part of all-inclusive package so all drinks and food chargeable.

"Beautiful Resort, Friendly Staff, One Happy Island"

Divi Golf and beach resort is located in the low rise part of the island and equally distant to the high rise shopping district, restaurants as well as Oranjestad shopping district. resort offers transportation to and from Eagle beach, Alahambra Casino and nearby attractions. Main pool is beautiful and recently repaired. Seabreeze restaurant and Mulligans offer very good food choices. The only thing that I will rate this resort at a level 1 is the WiFi it is absolutely horrible at best, so if you have the unfortunate responsibility to work on vacation count on going to the outdoor seating in the sea breeze to use WiFi in a public atmosphere. We have been owners here for 10+ years and it has never gotten better.

"Beach fun! "

The hotel is nice enough that I would consider going back, however the service on on site restaurant is extremely slow. The beach is out of the front just across the street (very close walk) check-in wasn't nearly as easy as most hotels which was a bit frustrating. Overall the hotel is comfortable enough for a few days.

"4 plus stars, beautiful place. "

Back from this resort about 10 days ago. There for my parents 50th wedding anniversary. Whole family there which may color my review as it was a special occasion and we were primed to have a good time. However, I'm generally objective (I think) and as a group we discussed the review I was to write so here goes... First time to Aruba. Just got back from the DR, another all-inclusive resort earlier this summer. Overall feel of Aruba was more tourism mature. Public transportation and taxi industry way better. Very clean with late model vehicles. All with working air conditioning. Airport also easy in, easy out. No fee collected at the door(which they did in DR). Great first impression. The resort presents very well. Prompt bell service on arrival. The front desk experience is somewhat slow (ok very slow) and coupled with the difficulty getting reservations at restaurants on the resort makes up the bulk of the cons. Resort is easy to navigate and despite the overall size of the complex, nothing is really that far away.of the three resorts in the divi group there (we did all-inclusive package) the divi village was the nicest with regards to public spaces and food quality. The pools at divi village were outstanding. Pros and cons Pros: Accommodations are time share style condos. We had a double unit on the second floor (2413/2414). Huge! Great shape and clean! Tiny things some people I'm sure would point out with regards to condition but I don't travel that way and overall I would be happy to stay there long-term without any concerns. Had a jacuzzi on the roof that was exclusive use for just that unit. Sink and patio set there as well. 2 other patios. 2 large full bathrooms per unit. Workable kitchen. Charging USB port outlets for adapter free charging (nice perk). Only downside was a general lack of supplies in the unit. Remember it's a privately owned condo. So there's a coffee maker but no coffee/milk/sugar. Fridge has ice maker otherwise empty. All-inclusive in every other place I've been has basic stuff in the rooms. They could stock the fridge with a few beverages. Housekeeping excellent. The rest of the family had similar experiences with their accommodations though different buildings. Efficiency washer and dryer a nice touch. Basic cleaning supplies available for purchase at small store off lobby. Overall we were very happy about housing. Pool. Beautiful main pool. Swim up bar and grill very nice. Just as in the DR the pools closed before dark (7pm here) which is a weird move in my opinion. In the morning we went down at 7 and had to wait to use the water slide as the were still cleaning the pool. So-nice that they take such good care of the pool, could have been done sooner. The bar drinks are expensive. As the resort is really a la carte, we had to run a tab and sign for the drinks just like everyone else so I got to see the charges. Can't imagine sitting there and drinking the way we did without all-inclusive. That said, "drinking" in our case meant mostly virgin versions of traditional island drinks like Bahama mamas and piña coladas. Strawberry banana daiquiris and mudslides (both virgin and high-test) were delicious. Bar service a little slow. Grill items very good. Easy to order. Pool towel stands not always fully stocked. I had to come back at one point as there were no towels available at the time. Plenty of chairs. Waterslide was a huge hit with everyone. Food. I'm always reluctant to speak about food specifically as it is always a matter of taste. I will say that in general, the restaurants at the divi village were better than the all-inclusive offerings at the Tamarijn and Divi Divi. Mulligans and Sea Breeze were both well above the other resort offerings in quality and experience. Again we were all inclusive so price wasn't a thing for us but it wasn't cheap. I think that the a la carte piece makes the approach different. If you're paying for food a la carte you'd expect a higher quality product. In general, I have found all-inclusive food to be very average. The other resort's restaurants were exactly that. The Red Parrot was overall the worst food experience we had. The best was likely Ginger. Paparazzi and buffet at Tamarijn eh. Couldn't get reservations for the Mexican place or the hibachi place, both places we would have loved to try. Beach. Plenty of shaded huts. Non-motorized beach activities include snorkeling gear, various paddle driven boats. Rock climbing wall (not open always). Available motorized water sports at a nearby stand. Prices probably typical for offerings and if a large group open to negotiation. Most of the motorized stuff (like jet skis) are at Eagle beach but you can sign up at Divi and they will transport you by boat or safari type bus in both directions. There's a line of rock/coral at the low tide line that doesn't feel great when walking over it. Water shoes might help with that but it really wasn't a big thing for most of us. Cons Overall it's just things happen slowly. Front desk service, shuttles that you call for, bar service. No hurries. Can be frustrating if you're not used to it. I'd suggest leaving plenty of time if you need a shuttle to get somewhere and you call for it. Otherwise the shuttles they have running between resorts come fairly frequently BUT MOSTLY between Tamarijn and Divi Divi. We were at Tamarijn and asked for a shuttle to the Divi village and probably 10 shuttles came and told us that they weren't allowed to take us to the village. Really frustrating. Fortunately it's a really short walk so if you can, probably easier jus to walk. YOU MUST be aggressive about trying to get reservations for restaurants. The concierge will work with you to find a spot but most everything is gone quickly, usually by 9am for 2 days out! Get to the concierge early and be aware that not all places open all days. Again- plan for pool closing at 7. Pool food done by 4ish, bar closes at 6. If you go on an excursion and like to come back for pool time go early. Snorkeling off the beach at divi waste of time. We got our equipment from the beach hut then grabbed a cab to Malmok beach. Tons of catamarans there so for the price of 2 cabs ($20 each), 8 of us got to snorkel where the excursions went for $75 per person. Had to walk a little way along the road to get to a bus stop but $26 later and a clean bus ride we were dropped off right at the resort. Pros significantly outweigh the cons. Again all-inclusive made our experience different than a la carte in the same place. If not all-inclusive, cab service to local grocery likely makes meals way more manageable and the kitchens are fully functional. Fridge will hold all the drinks you need. One other thing. We went to see a show at the Alhambra casino adjacent to the Divi Dive. Guy Bavli. Great show. Worth the money, especially as you get a discount for staying at the Divi. The casino itself is VERY SMOKY. Eyes burning, chest hurt kind of smoky. After about 90 minutes I couldn't take it anymore. That's just me but I'm pretty tolerant of most things and it was rough. There are other casinos in the high-rise area that may be different. Can't comment as I didn't go there. Overall I'd give it 4.5-4.75 stars (I hardly ever give 5 stars to anything). This was pretty close. Plush accommodations, beautiful pool, above average food all made it easy to love. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

"Nice room and view"

Loved the room we had here - it was a studio, but there was so much space (esp. compared to a typical hotel room), that we didn't use it all. We also had two balconies and a deck on top of the room, as we were on the second floor. That was the best part - there was a hot tub that we used many evenings and could watch the sun set over the pool. Overall, the food was pretty good. Was underwhelmed with the service at the pool bar as they wouldn't rush to help anyone and began shutting down more than 30 minutes before the bar was supposed to close. They did, however, make strong drinks.
