"Outstanding resort"

   01-12-2016
After a week on a cruise ship, my husband and I decided to have a few extra days of vacation to relax at the Pink Shell Resort. What a special place! We loved being right on the beach for our morning walks. The service was great and the breakfast buffet is incredible! We will be back next year!

"what a lovely place"

   30-11-2016
We flew to sanibel Island to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary and stayed in this hotel. It was a lovely place with nice pools and great view of the beach. In the mornings, I would run a few miles into "Time Square" area. The town is safe and clean. I would recommend staying here though it could be a bit pricey but i found it worth it.

"Another fabulous trip to the Pink Shell Resort"

   30-11-2016
This was our third trip to the Pink Shell Resort! We will be back next year and hopefully every year! The resort is great, we love seeing the same staff and completely relax whenever we are there. We had a wonderful villa with one bedroom and loved the washer and dryer. The pool and beach are to die for and so are the Mango Tango drinks.

"Pink Shell marina"

   30-11-2016
We have stayed at the Pink Shell marina twice in November. I can't say enough good things about the people that work there. They are so ready to help you enter their marina and also when you leave. The facilities for marina guests are kept clean and we had use of all the facilities for the hotel. We will definitely be back in 2017.

"Our experience not the same as many here"

   29-11-2016
I see many good reviews here and compliments about the staff, unfortunately we had the exact opposite experience. The check-in was without a doubt the worst we have had in many years. There were three attendants and only two guests checking so we were excited to get checked in and out to the beach. Upon being called up to the desk, our clerk walked away to stand to another clerk and trainee for a computer issue. Ours never acknowledged us though he was only about 5 feet away. 15 minutes later he turned around to help us and decided it would be a good time for the trainee to try a check-in. She even asked him if this was the appropriate time since we had been waiting. He missed this clue and insisted she try. We have nothing bad to say for about a trainee but adding another 15 minutes to the check-in process was not a great start. We did spend plenty of time in the lobby so I must say we saw it all and it was very nice. We just did not want to spend our first half hour being ignored and looking around the lobby considering how slow it was and there was nobody in line ahead of us. The room was nice though oddly furnished. You can see from the pics, the second bedroom had a broken tv, bit rather than replacing it they just added a second one to the room. The living tv was very fuzzy and often went out and they must have thought coffee would calm out nerves after the horrible check-in process so they gave us a room with three coffee pots. It felt like our room was the equivalent of a junk drawer. The breakfast was ok though the service was lacking and the check needs some additional training as we was taking food temps along the buffet line without sanitizing the thermometer between food items. Cross contamination was a definite concern when he pulled the eggs off the line and kept on going to the next item. Guess he forgot that the thermometer could be a source of cross contamination as much as a cutting board, knife or utensils could be. We were also disappointed in the valet staff. While a Pavlovian instinct I'm sure, we noticed they were putting their hands out for tips before they even opened the doors or looked at us. While we will always tip valet parking staff, it got annoying that they just constantly had their hand out, expecting a tip, rather than practing people skills and customer service. The last complaint, though no fault of the resort, was a power outage due to an issue in the street. That was beyond their control but I would have expected staff to be out at night with flashlights. I went down to the lobby with a flashlight i had in my luggage and was approached by an elderly couple asking if I could escort them to their room. No issue with that but certainly felt bad for them that they had to approach me rather than the staff standing around in the dark. The positives are the pools were nice size and looked like plenty of chairs and the resort is in a great location right on the beach and walking distance to their Times Square. We certainly won't be staying again even though we are in the area 3-4 times a year now. Maybe the horrible customer service was due to the slow time of year, but we felt like for the money we spent, we should be entitled to quality, or at the very least professional service.
