"Awesome"

   14-08-2017
This spot was awesome, I would say that the worst thing about this hotel was our hotel view, which is not even a problem, besides that everything was 5 Stars. My friends and I were there for long weekend ( Thursday-Sunday), the location was fantastic, on the beach, walking distance to tons of restaurants and bars, if not walking distance then an Uber ride cost no more then $5 $10, they rarely spoke English though. Our hotel room was great, nice size, the bathroom was huge and If I had to be honest a lot more luxurious then the room itself. Customer service was so good, the pool and backyard was closed our first day due to a wedding, so they made sure all hotel guests had access to the pool at the hotel next door. Hotel bar had a solid happy hour as well. The beach and boardwalk which were right in our backyard was a huge plus. Really nice hotel. Although I don't see myself going back to Miami Beach for a long time, I would stay at the Marseilles again.

"Great pool and service with great Wifi"

We stayed last week of July as a family of 4, children 9 and 11 for 4 days before our cruise .We were checked in very quickly and were allocated a room on the 8th floor at the front of the hotel. The room was very spacious and comfortable. After staying in the room for a few minutes I was a little concerned that the noise from the traffic and the bars over the road would be too much but was willing to give it a try and see if it got any better during the night. Unfortunately for us the noise was bad and we were jet lagged and didn't have a good nights sleep. We decided to ask if we could be moved which the hotel did without quibble, we packed up and waited until 3pm to get access to our new room. The new room was less spacious but it was much more quieter and we were happy and able to get a good nights sleep. The hotel grounds are really lovely and Modern. There are lots of games to for the kids such as: ping pong, large connect four, giant Jenga etc which was really good. The Jacuzzi was really nice to sit in of a evening and have a cocktail, the staff are friendly and the pool attendant was very attentive. Overall it has a really nice feel. You can access the beach really easily through the rear of the hotel and you can use sun beds and parasols if you wished to stay on the beach. You don't need your own towels as the hotel can supply them to you. We did not try the hotel food but it looked very nice from what I saw. The only thing I can mention was the cup cakes from the hotel bar were way over priced, I was charged $15 for 2 cup cakes I had to double check I heard this right because that seemed way to much any other time I would of left it but I had promised my daughter a cake and they had been boxed up by the time I found out what the price was,the man assured me they were best thing since sliced bread but I didn't think they were worth that amount of money as they were only little. You may want to check the price before you buy. Just to mention the Wifi my kids were over the moon with the speed and connection really good even better than ours at home! This kept them quiet when they wanted to get out of the sun. I should also mention they have a happy hour and in the early evening which are just $1 each and tasted great and were greatly appreciated. You can also get iced water and complimentary sun screen if you forget your by the pool. Overall we had a pleasant stay , good location good service and would recommend to others.

"A reasonable hotel in a good location"

   06-08-2017
I have been working a job that was split between London and Miami for a few years. When in Miami, I have stayed during the week in Miami, which is much cheaper than South Beach. At the weekends, I looked for reasonable hotels at a similar price to that in the city. Needless to say, I couldn't find a top quality hotel for the price. The Marseilles is an reasonable quality hotel, with a decent pool, at a reasonable price, in a very good location (a block north of Lincoln Rd shopping and three blocks from the top of Ocean Drive). The rooms are large and clean. The bar is good, with friendly staff. It can be noisy at the front of the hotel (but this is a consequence of the location nearby bars and restaurants) - I ask for a room at the back when I make my reservation and take earplugs just in case. I have also been upgraded several times at this hotel. If you have young children, maybe stay a little further north. Otherwise I recommend the Marseilles.

"Great Weekend Getaway"

   24-07-2017
Went here last year with my b/f for his bday It was GREAT!!!! the pools, the cabana's, the food, the locations was amazing. Shopping centers in walking distance, restaurants and the beach right behind the hotel. The king suite with pool view was GREAT... we both had such a great time we want to go back as soon as we can get away again.

"Terrible hotel"

   24-07-2017
My family and I stayed at the Marsellies hotel end of June 2017. Our initial reservation was for two rooms for 5 nights, however we left after the third night. The rooms were dirty and the bathrooms did not look like they were proper cleaned. We had urine spots next to the toilet, dirt in the corners of the room and bathroom. Mold on the ceiling and in the corners of the bathroom due to lack of ventilation. The carpet was unclean and there was not vacuumed under the bed or in the corners. The rooms they show on their home page does not reflect what you get. However the worst part was all the noise from young guest shouting in the hallway, loud music, elevators going op and down and doors slamming. We did not sleep at all. On the second night the fire alarm was activated and we did hurry down the stairs to the lobby only to learn that the receptionist did not take it seriously as he was sure it was activated by a drunk guest. We raised a complaint and were moved to a different floor for our third night. Noise level was the same, and to add on to the noise level, the room we were move to, was just next to the hotels main ventilation. We saw some of the guests smoking pot by the pool and finally pornographic pictures were taken of some one not staying at the hotel. Our kids felt very uncomfortable and we were also shocked. This is definitely not something I want my kids or us for that matter to look at. At 1 am the third night we gave in and called another hotel to make a reservation and we checked out in the morning. So we ended up paying for two rooms for 5 nights even though we checked out after the third night. It did not seem like it bothered the receptionist at all. The best thing about the hotel is the bartender at the pool bar who was very friendly and accommodating Never the less I would not recommend this hotel.
