Het hotel heeft een heerlijk zwembad en is gelegen op een fantastische locatie, direct aan het strand en aan Collins Avenue. Voor het diner kunt u terecht bij een van de vele populaire restaurants van South Beach om daarna onder te gaan in het uitgaansleven. Het biedt gratis WiFi, een poolside bar en restaurant Gavroche. Het is gevestigd in een art deco-pand, dat enkele jaren geleden werd gerenoveerd met oog voor de oorspronkelijke details. Op het moment dat u de lobby van het Marseilles Hotel betreedt, herleven de vroegere tijden. Uw kamer is echter modern en comfortabel ingericht en van alle gemakken voorzien.

"Room 603 Cold as ice"

Booked the hotel before reading all reviews. After reading the reviews I was a little afraid of what we would find?? We arrived at the hotel about 2 pm on a Sunday. The hotel was warm and inviting. The staff was friendly and very informative. We drove our truck so we were worried about parking but they hotel had a very secure parking area the fee was $31.00. We were given room 603. The room was large and had a window air conditioner so the temp of the room was cold. The pool area was clean and the pool was warm . The hotel was directly on the beach What more could you want??? The entire staff was great . I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

"BAIT AND SWITCH AT THE WORST HOTEL IN SOUTH BEACH!"

I reserved a two night stay at this property through Expedia.I chose to pay the deposit (charges for 1 night).When I arrived, they asked me if I wanted to stay the 2nd night and I asked to see the room. They upgraded me to a room in the old section that was large and was lovely. The problem was that it was 78 degrees in the room and there was no detectable air flow. I called and they sent up a maintenance person. He told me that it was as good as it gets. I told him that there was no way that the room would cool down enough for me to sleep. He shrugged. I went to their happy hour and the bartender was lovely. I stayed about an hour and a half and went back to the room and it was still 78 degrees. I decided to use the hot tub so I took my suit to the pool and changed in the bathroom there. I had on two sterling silver Ippolita earrings that cost $500. In the process of changing I lost one. I stayed until they closed (THEY CLOSE THE POOL AT 8 PM). I went to the room and it was still 78 degrees.I was quite upset because I was tired and wanted to go to bed and there was absolutely no way that I could sleep in a room that was 78 degrees. They showed me a cracker box of a room and I told them that I was obviously forced to stay in that room that night, but there was no way that I was staying for two nights. They showed me the alternate room and it was 78 degrees. I insisted that they refund my money and they did. UNFORTUNATELY, I left my earring and my purple bathing suit in the pool bathroom. I went at 12 pm the next day and explained that I had left them in my room or at the pool (I subsequently realized that the earring came off when I pulled my dress over my head in the pool bathroom). They left me waiting a half an hour and then said they didn't have it. I knew that it was there because I looked at the videotape at the next hotel and I had one earring on when I arrived. I left my name and number and they didn't call. I checked 2 more times over the next 2 days and I was told by Gilma and one other man that they would call me and never did. I went in today and they said that housekeeping was gone but they would check and call me. I am not holding my breath.

"Relaxing"

Stayed for 2 nights as a relaxing part of our 5 week usa holiday. Loved our beach view from the 5th floor and easy access to the beach and free beach chairs with an umbrella was a plus and the waiters bring you drinks so you don't have to run across the hot sand. The free cocktail hour was amazing with plenly of different options you want to try them all. The pool and backyard area was awesome and relaxing. The rooms were spacious and beds very comfortable, the aircon was running a little warm but still a comfortable temperature. Overall a very nice stay

"Disappointing Experience"

We were dropped of by our taxi in front of the hotel. There was no bellman and two flights of stairs to get to the lobby. We are all older. After I dragged my suitcase up the stairs I saw three people chatting at the reception desk. No one noticed or acknowledged me. I yelled "hello" across the lobby and one person looked up. After a very elaborate registration process including photocopying our passports and filling out forms I was given the key to our room. By this time a bellman had collected our bags. When I opened the door it was clear that the room was already occupied. Back to the reception. "Oh, my mistake. Here's the keys to your room". The bellman then delivers our bags with the standard "tour of the room", looking for a tip. On the plus side the rooms are very comfortable and well appointed, however, I decided to take a shower and when I pulled a towel off the rack there was what appeared to be a blood stain right in the middle of it. We were just their for the night, but I felt like a ghost the entire time. Great location, lousy service.

"Manager team and staff are careless about customer concerns "

Upon checking into the hotel, there was a loud Reggaeton concert and party going on at the hotel next door that went on from the day until evening and was an extreme inconvenience to guests. When checking in the woman at the front desk told us the chairs and cabanas in the pool area were $120 and $150 to rent for the day. When requesting the manager because we were outraged he told us there was a misunderstanding and she was wrong, we were fine and checked in. When we got to our floor we could smell the strong aroma of weed smoke in the hallway upon stepping out of the elevator. We complained and were moved to another floor and another room. We didn't check out the room because we checked in late and wanted to get right to the pool area to enjoy it before it was closed. When we finally got back to our room we were disgusted to find mold on the floors and bathrooms, stains in the carpet, upholstery and iron boards, and the room was dirty. We complained to booking.com who was willing to refund us if the manager agreed, however the manager whose name is Robinson refused. We advised we wanted to check out of the hotel and for a refund to move to a cleaner hotel that was more accommodating and he refused to honor our request and only offered us a $25 credit. He never offered housekeeping to clean the room or move us to another room in the category we booked. The manager Robinson was very unhelpful, he told us he'd been working with the hotel industry in south beach for 13 years and this was just the way it is in South Beach. We also asked to speak to the General Manager in which he replied he didn't have his phone near him to give us the number. What is interesting about all of this is now reading the bad reviews on Trip Advisor and the lack of empathy for customers who have had very similar issues to ours. I even read a comment with the GM accusing customers of wanting free nights and putting the blame on them when clearly their hotel is not up to standards. That is poor service. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and it is definitely not a 4 star. The management staff is not solution oriented, puts the blame on customers, and is unapologetic. Customer service is poor compared to many of the hotels in the area. Stay away!!!
