"Cheap but smelly if you get the wrong room"
We liked the price. The decor is fun for children. The room our friends stayed in was stinky of mold or mildew. We called to request a new room and were told they were full. They sprayed air freshener. They were never offered or changed to another room. Our room was average for a budget hotel. Double beds, very hard. Pretty quiet surprisingly. It's basically a no frills hotel, just be sure not to get room 3121 in hoops, it is dreadful.
"A little noisy...but you are WDW"
The feel of the resort is quite fun. We stayed in the section of the basketball area that was closest to the central area of the resort. Nicely themed common areas and the place has a fun feel to it. The rooms were clean and the two beds were both quite comfortable. The rooms are of course on the smallish size, but are adequate enough if you are park commandos and only use them for a place to sleep in between theme park visits. We did have a couple of noise issues with the room...the first was a strange intermittent whirring and clicking sound that was somewhat maddening as we tried to go to sleep, I finally isolated the source as being the little college dorm type refrigerator in the room. We didn't have anything in it and thus we solved the problem by unplugging the unit. The other noise issue was not so easily solved for both of us, but apparently both the outer walls (towards the sidewalk outside) and the walls separating the adjoining rooms lack much (any?) soundproofing and thus we were awakened to hear every word spoken by the very excited family that checked in around 2 in the morning. Seeing as how our nest is now just about empty we enjoyed sharing in everyone's excitement to point, but as it drug on it did finally become a bit tiresome. If you need genuine quite to sleep this might no be the best resort choice, or you could use a white noise app on your phone with a set of earbuds to block out the neighbors (which is what I ultimately ended up doing). Also be sure to take a stroll the resort and take advantage of the photo-ops offered by the giant icons.
"Vegan + Gluten Free Mickey Waffles!"
Disney is great with creating food for those with special dietary restrictions. We ordered Gluten Free + Vegan Mickey Waffles and they were delicious. When you make an allergy order the chef will come out, talk to you and make your order personally. This avoids cross contamination and miscommunication.
"Good value resorts "
We have been to all of the all star resorts. The first time we went was in 1999 to the all star sports Then 2000 was the music 2001 was the movies And. Then 2004 was the movies again. These are great value resorts. The rooms are all nice and clean The food courts are great with great choices. We stayed here before the dining plan so had to pay for meals etc. Our daughter who is 24 now took her boyfriend to the movies this year for his first trip to Disney He was very dismissive about it and he wasn't looking forward to it. He is now a Disney addict like the rest of us. The pool areas are great What I love about these resorts is the buses We have since stayed in other resorts inc port Orleans and Saratoga and found that the value resorts have got the bus lines off to a tee. Each park has a separate line and there are barriers to queue in so there isn't any queue jumpers at these resorts. Unlike the "better" resorts that have one stand for all the parks so no queues so you do get people jumping the queues and where these resorts are so big they have several stops so if you are the last stop you end up standing on the buses most of the time. Obviously all the parks are great but have all changed so much since we first went so will review in our most recent trip.
"Very Good option for economy hotel inside Disney"
I first booked this hotel to see how the experience of being a Disney guest would be. And it turned out great, like all Disney's Theme Parks. This hotel is definitely a very good option if you are looking for an economy hotel inside Disney's complex. Room layout is as simple as any motel, but the decoration is awesome (inside and outside). And you can enjoy the advantages of being a Disney hotel guest (Magic Hours, Airport Transportation, etc.). We had a few problems with the hair dryer and the shower, but both were solved promptly. Now I am looking forward to try the other hotel up in the scale (Moderate, Deluxe and so on).
