"Very nice hotel"

Just got back from a 2 week stay here with the family. Myself and my parents stayed in 1 room and it was huge 2 queen beds in the room. The staff were lovely and friendly in all areas within the hotel and a couldn't fault them. I would say if you want to sunbathe you need to queue up for 9am when it opens as certain days it gets really busy and unless you pay for sun beds/cabanas etc in the prepaid bir you will struggle. There is a jacuzzi by each of the 3 pools. I would recommend checking out early or through your to screen as the check in/check out desk can get really busy. We couldn't get use to the time difference here but luckily there is a Starbucks open in the hotel I think 24 hour (we would go down at 3am) and convenience shops open 24 hour but these are quite pricey.

"Feels like being in Cairo"

Take your camera because the architecture is fantastic. Try seeing the Blue Man group. The Titanic exhibit is awesome. There are plenty of nice restaurants and your connected to Mandalay Bay. Check out the Irish Pub

"Location not ideal, average without amenities"

Arrived early. Guillermo at Bell Desk was awesome and accommodating. Our premiere room was very average. Should have second guest bathroom. NO HOT WATER anywhere in our room and took 15 mins for shower to get to lukewarm. Living room tv did not work. Room service, I would not even consider it room service whatsoever. Hours are from 6am-2pm, not very much of a selection from one place and it arrives cold in a white paper bag.Expensive and not good. Very disappointing! Housekeeping staff were polite and friendly. Public House was our first encounter at a restaurant in the Luxor. Mike E needs to be fired. He was rude and demeaning. Unhelpful. Food was average and expensive. Never rec'd my salad. Nor did Mike E ever check on us once but to drop off check. Very attentive to other patrons. Rented a cabana. Dirty and overpriced. TV did not come with remote and you could only watch one channel. No remote. Pool staff and waitresses were awesome. Attentive and quick. Location of hotel is not ideal for us. We walked incredibly too much. But sometimes that is okay as you experience a lot. Female security guard is petty and should not be in this position.

"Amazing Hotel"

The Luxor's architecture has always fascinated me. This is the first time I've actually stayed at the hotel though after many trips Las Vegas. I was hoping to stay in the Pyramid but ended up in the North West Tower close to the spa. The room was very nice and quite which was great for sleeping in. Next time though I will request a Pyramid room for I really want to walk out my door and look down at the incredible atrium. I'm amazed at how large the inside of the atrium is. I walked around the upper Pyramid floors to view the hotel from a different perspective. A maid asked me if I had a room on that floor and I explained that I didn't and was just admiring the hotel. She was extremely friendly and we talked for a few minutes about her working at the hotel. She has worked at the hotel since they opened and also admired the structure. We spent a day at the pool which was disappointing because they had a large pool roped off and closed that day. The other pool wasn't that busy either but it would be nice to swim next to the pool your sitting next to. Will stay again next trip but in a Pyramid room.

"Average but a decent option"

My wife and I stayed at the Luxor for 4 days. Check in: our flight was delayed 3 hours so we arrived at 0100. Our check in was relatively quick however, we were told they released our king size deluxe room away because of our late arrival. They but a note on to move us in the morning (which is annoying, you just want to unpack and head to the pool not switch rooms etc). We met numerous people during our stay that were really annoyed over the check in process. We saw many huge lines. Room: we ended up on the 15th floor in the east tower. The east tower is quite a walk, our view was pretty good. Room number 15313. Basic amenities, comfortable beds. The shower head is really low, if you over 5'11 have fun with that. Pool: you have options. The south pool is a free for all, there is a lot of seats, but you have to search, it's a little crowded as well. The north pool has paid access, padded seats etc. If your treating yourself, the paid access is pretty sweet, however it's 110 Canadian a day. Drinks around the pool are pricey just like everything in Vegas. You can bring a aluminum cup with whatever in it but you can't bring in additional alcohol. Beers are $9, wine spritzers are 6.50, a mojito is $15. North side pool on Sundays is a LBGQT party on that side. Restaurants: the buffet is good, we had breakfast at the buffet twice. It had everything you need including eggs Benedict. It is between 20-23 depending on weekday or weekend. Food courts upstairs. We had breakfast there as well, 26$ for a couple, quick and basic but pretty good. We also ate a the pizza joint, it will get you out of a jam as well. We are at tender steak, we had a sharing seafood tower, it was $72 and not good (no drawn butter with seafood is a fail). Bars etc: basic, no night clubs, easy access to light bar in Mandalay bay (only open during certain times during the weeK) Check out Delano sky fall lounge as well. Location: end of the strip, $24 cab ride from airport. Easy access to tram, will take you to Excalibur for free.
