"Excellent room, lovely staff, generous comps - fabulous time"

I was not sure whether to book this hotel from reading some of the reviews, but I am so glad I decided to make my own mind up and give it a try. We got a room in the East tower on the 11th floor. It was spotlessly clean with two queen beds, large television, bathroom with shower and large soaking tub. The view was of the Pyramid but having a view was not a priority as we only sleep in the room. Every floor has an ice and vending machine. We stayed at Caesar's last year and were so disappointed at the shabby room we got which didn't even have a bath for the extortionate price, that I decided to book something considerably cheaper. The Luxor tariff with resort fees which they kindly tell you about up front was about a third of the cost of what I paid for Caesar's. The room was cleaner and much nicer/newer and far better value for money. I've not seen the Pyramid rooms so can't comment on them. We went in April this year and the weather was mixed, a couple of cloudy days and the rest sunny with partial cloud, The temperature was about 65-70 which was a bit lower than normal but comfortable for walking around in. The pool area was nice but one pool was closed for maintenance. I suppose this is to be expected as it is early in the season and the weather wasn't that hot. I've seen comments about how far the East Tower is away from the main lobby and casino floor, this is not an issue unless you have problems walking or mobility issues. It took less than 2 minutes for me to walk, pushing a wheelchair from the East Tower elevators to the Casino floor. One of the things that really stood out and to me the most important thing was the quality of the staff. Everyone we encountered including desk staff, waiting, house staff, security, bar staff were amazing. They were friendly, helpful and gave the impression that nothing was too much trouble, the customer service was the best I've encountered in several years of visiting Las Vegas. The casino floor is large with a good selection of table games, the slot selection is very good too with a large number of up to date machines. The drinks service was frequent on the slot floor. There are plenty of places to eat in Luxor, restaurants and bars around the casino floor with escalators and elevators up to an atrium level with a food court housing more restaurants and fast food places. From here you can walk through to Mandalay Bay. In fact Luxor is ideally situated for walking to Mandalay bay, Excalibur, New York New York, MGM Grand and Tropicana. If you don't want to walk there is a tram that connects the hotels. This is the first time I've stayed at an MLife property and I was pleasantly surprised at the level of comps we earned whilst enjoying ourselves. You can use the membership card to get a discount in shops and Starbucks. If you are a player at either slots or tables, always use your Mlife card and the points will rack up. If you have been playing for a few hours a day, keep checking at the MLife desk to see if you have earned anything such as a free buffet, show etc. Always visit the MLife desk BEFORE you check out so that they can deduct any rewards/comps from your bill. My only criticism and it isn't a bad one is the buffet. However you get what you pay for and it is cheap compared to other strip buffets. The food is OK but there is not a massive selection of main meals and if you are looking for high end food this is not the place. It is cheap and cheerful and if you get a free one comped go for it. However there are many other nice places to eat. The Pyramid café is great for breakfast/brunch (it closes at about 1pm). Good selection of breakfast dishes/ waffles pancakes/ soups/ salads etc. av. price $16, again nice friendly, helpful staff. The only thing that I feel I should add is that we had to call paramedics out to my mum who had slipped and they were there within a couple of minutes which was very reassuring. All the medical staff and security were extremely fast to arrive and were absolutely lovely and helpful. So overall our experience was a very positive one and I would highly recommend the East Tower rooms and the hotel in general. I would certainly stay again.

Great experience Its a beautiful place. My room was quite spacious and clean. I love the Luxor and the casino is fun. I've always wanted to stay in the Luxor. The structure in itself is one of the main reasons to visit this place

This a great place to stay ! Employees are always helpful and ready to answer any questions. They now have a great military rewards program.. Besure to ask about it at the MLife counters Rooms are always clean and large

"Better than expected"

For a megaresort, it was surprisingly easy to navigate, unlike some other Vegas properties. Pyramid room was a bit cramped, due to sloped walls, but it was definitely unique and interesting. First time I've ever gotten a room that opens onto the casino floor! Staff was friendly and helpful, from check in to beverage servers and slot attendants. Only drawback was that several eating establishments all closed during the day, leaving very limited lunch options. Not sure why I waited so long to try this property, but will almost certainly return!

"Vegas Vacation"

This is our second stay at the Luxor and we were disappointed in the condition of our room. This hotel is aging and needs to remodel all the rooms. Even the moving walkways are usually not working. Time for a change!
