"Good Value. Good location"

   22-07-2017
Had a 3 night mid-week stay here. The hotel is good value for money, and in a good location on the strip. Staff were helpful, especially when checking in and out. Rooms are clean, large and have good views. Room service done a good job to clear up the mayhem after Vegas (well tipped). Plenty of shows to be seen, and a mono-rail will give easy access to other parts of the Strip. Good value all round :)

"Nice"

They've remodeled the rooms and casinos sine the last time I stayed. Lots to do and very helpful staff. It's a little quitter than the casinos in the middle of the strip, not so crowded. They have a shopping area that takes you to Mandalay Bay and Excalibur without going out in the heat.

"Super Pool, Super Blue Man Group, Super West Tower"

   22-07-2017
Used British Airways points for 7 free nights in their UPGRADED West Tower. 11th floor, room 11259. End of hall facing South. Overlooked all the pools; good distant views of Pyramid, Mandalay Bay, Delano, and freeway. We just paid $34.01 x 7 in resort fees. No charge for early check-in at 1:30. Waited about 12 minutes in line. We were given our 2nd choice of view (we preferred the East tower looking North, but that was a 'no can do.') Check-in guy knew his stuff. He understood everything on my first attempt; polite, cheerful, NOT DECEPTIVE. King room for wife and I was oversized all around (plenty of room all around the bed.) Extra space in and around the two chairs up next to the window.Wonderful faux marble floors in public hallways, into the room entrance, and into the bathroom. TV was great, modern, big, HD. Remote was simple enough. Bathroom had a separate tub AND shower. Shower was nice--in the corner. Clear glass to look out TWO different/ perpendicular walls helped assuage my claustrophobia. His/her teak armoires were very nice (probably an upgrade over pyramid rooms.) Their restaurants were super expensive. Just say no to Tacos and Tequila. Instead, go to Hussong's Mexican Bar about 1/3 of the way down the walkway to the Mandalay Bay. M - Th happy hour 3:00 pm + has $3 tacos vs. $18 plate of 3 tacos + beans + rice during other times. Get your coffee at Backstage Deli instead of Starbucks. Cheaper, self-service, FREE REFILLS. Wife made me buy her the detox juice daily at the juice bar next to one of the Starbucks at the entrance to the west tower. $8.61 They also sell Belgian waffles (great but expensive.) Cobb salad, steak sandwich are your best (hearty) bets for your rapidly shrinking dollar, available at Backstage Deli. I had planned on taking the bus West on Tropicana to the grocery store, but it was way, way, too hot. Found a super sushi restaurant near the strip entrance of The Monte Carlo. Cut thru Excalibur and NY, NY to avoid the heat. 6 piece rolls: veggie $5, Avocado $6, salmon $7. side of white rice $1.50. We ate there 3x. Also there's a Walgreens across the street from Monte Carlo. It's a Long wait and crowded shuffle in the heat to cross Las Vegas blvd. Right now, the elevated crosswalk between NY, NY and MGM Grand is closed for construction making things worse. NOTE TO CHEAPSKATES: They have free water bottles just to snag at Luxor's health club. Health club was nice, small. Nice windows to look out to the constant outdoor foot traffic to the pool. Their spa was closed. That's OK, it would have cost $25/ day for juice/nothing/ indoor Jacuzzi. I wouldn't have wanted to go there. Blue Man group was great (once.) I can't imagine going again. I did laugh out loud 5x. Final cost for two people for the next to the worst seating area $143.76 Other reviews are right. Very little shade at the pools. I brought my personal umbrella. Huddled under the raised bridge from parking garage. Also you can linger near the employees only/ pool cocktail waitress entrance to get nice AC escaping out to the great outdoors. The pools are way too shallow. I can kneel in the center of the pool and have my head out of the water, and I am short. I saw some guys playing basketball in the pool, and they were running in the water with an inch and a half of their swimming trunks out of the water. Our friends rented a car. They stayed elsewhere, but came over to The Luxor many times. Valet was swift, worth it over the other option of self-park.

"HORRIBLE STAY! "

   22-07-2017
What a horrible experience! I frequent Vegas a lot and this was our first time staying at the Luxor . To start there was an $70 fee hacked on to the resort fee (that wasn't mention prior to trip) and because I refused to pay more that the reside fee they tried to downgrade my room ! I was VERY upset I arrived at midnight and the manger said my room (due to me not wanting to pay extra fees that wasn't included from the booking ) wasn't gonna be ready for 2 hours! So we didn't get a room till 230 am I'm pregnant , exshausted , crying and hungry after arriving at 12 and the manger refused to budge to accommodate a new guest . We got into the room which was stained and dirty the tub had a huge ring around it , the toilet had stains in it , the sink was dirty and the couch smelled like crap. I will NECER STAY HERE AGAIN ! I couldn't wait to go home

"popped in being nosey"

   22-07-2017
called into the Luxor for a nose with the intention of booking it next visit. however walking through the casino floor looking for a disability restroom the first two were filthy beyond use, the third was not acceptable and the forth we used. this took 15 mins and my son was getting upset. we continued on our tour through New York New York and Excalibar and back to the Luxor where we parked our car. i checked each of the cubicles again, bearvin mind this is 3 hours later and they were in exactly the same condition so it obvious no attendants had been in to clean them. not impressed at all. i wont be staying their.
