"Love this hotel"

This is my 4th stay at MB over the past 4 or so years. This visit was with 6 guys total for a bachelor party. I have a host here who takes care of everything for me, which of course is a major plus on service! We stayed in room 8-335; Panoramic 2 bedroom queen suite (1 king; 2 queens). We had complimentary limo transport to and from the airport. The driver that picked us up from the airport was awesome! Just had a great attitude and was a great way to start the trip! Also, they just upgraded their limos (finally!) and they were fresh! Checked into the hotel in the VIP Private area which was quick and seamless. We received a very low floor (8) but no complaints, just would have been nicer to be on a higher floor to get the better views. The room is awesome, especially now that its been recently renovated. The TV's in the room are AMAZING! Crystal clear, great selection of movies to rent! I do wish the sound system in the room was better. I found the sub-woofer but I don't think it was hooked up properly. The music worked but I am pretty sure it wasn't working too its full potential. The room does have a mini fridge with items (EXPENSIVE) in it but it does not have an empty one for personal use. I get why all rooms don't, but a suite SHOULD! I called down and had one delivered, which evidently has a nightly fee... not sure how much since my host comped it off right away. The room has 6 televisions! I love TV's. I like to fall asleep to movies after a long day/night of gambling and drinking. I was very impressed! My host took care of our whole group; had Fiji waters, chocolate, chocolate covered strawberries, fresh fruit, etc constantly brought up to our room over the 3 nights. Every time we came back in, we had more stuff. You cannot beat the service at MB! It was a big losing trip for all 6 of us; the slots were tighter then hell. Only got 2 hand-pays but you go in expecting to lose. I do wish I had some more playback for the amount I played but sometimes it just doesn't work out. We ate at StripSteak (see my review about that) which was awesome! We ate at Citizens a couple times along with Dellas the last day. I know I ate other places but I was pretty drunk so not sure where, lol. You can't go wrong with food at MB; there are so many choices. My last visit in Feb '17 was in a standard double queen room, with very limited comps. That visit was just as good as this one. You can low roll and still live the luxury life; you can go big and live big! If you are a player, stop by the M Life and they will take care of you! If you play enough to get a host, ask for John Sia. He is hands down one of my favorite hosts, and I have had over 35 over the years throughout the country. He works hard to make you happy!

"Love it "

We always stay here when we go down to Vegas. We're down there about 4-5 times a year for sports. We love it so much that we got married here and that was also a fantastic experience! Highly recommend!

"You could do worse."

First-time stay at Mandalay Bay, June 18-23, 2017. Disclaimer: three nights were comped. Well, there's more good than bad at Mandalay Bay. It certainly deserves the adjective of "luxury" hotel. I have very few objections but I will start by blasting the ever-unpopular "resort fee" charge of almost $40 per night. These high-end hotels really need to consider the damage to the image they try to convey ... they stoop to the nickle-and-dime resort fee charge to screw you more than the airlines already do.These high-end places need to show a little class and just fold the "resort fees" into total cost of the room. Fee for parking receives the same complaint. Pay to park ... in Vegas? Seriously? All the more reason to consider downtown. Alas, we got a great room (resort queen) and the East Pool is a great place for stress relief. Try to get the four chairs (promptly at 8 a.m.) between the eucalyptus trees at the north end of the East Pool for a full day of shade and comfort. Our room (10th floor, room 309) featured a pass-through door to the adjacent room and it does not provide much of an audio barrier from your neighbors' conversations and other escapades (wink, wink). I would definitely stay at Mandalay Bay again ... there are higher-end hotels in Las Vegas but you really can't go wrong here. Check-in line was about a 40-minute wait. Not cool. Resort fees? Not cool. Pay to park? C'mon! In closing ... I tried a $40 "tuck" between credit card and license in hopes of an upgrade and it was not acknowledged, but at least it was returned. Kudos to check-in guy for handling this smoothly.

"Excellent Conference Venue"

Mandalay Bay has fabulous conference facilities with many options that scale to the needs of the hosts and attendees. High marks for conference capabilities, booking venues and banquet. However I found the room experience average. I stayed three nights and was given a Resort King on the 16th floor with a view facing the airport. Room was large with a comfortable bed and bathroom. I was able to use Mlife for check-in and thank goodness, the regular line looked like a ride at Disneyland with a wait of 1.5hrs or more at 1pm on a Tuesday. Mobile check-in was also an option. Back to the room, the inability to control the rooms lighting from a central location (typically by the bed) was mildly annoying and there was no overhead reading light only a bedside lamp that did not have a dimmer. I found the bathroom sink counters to stand higher than average (I'm 5'4") with the sink basin setback which meant I was always leaning into and over the counter, this required me to put a towel in front of the basin to avoid back-splash. Mandalay’s restaurant diversity and food quality is very good, we went to Boarders Grill, Kumi, Ri Ra, Citizens Kitchen and even Bayside buffet one morning for breakfast. I was surprised at the number of families with children, the elevators for all three towers converge into one central hub, think spokes on a wheel, and it becomes congested with strollers, kids and teens not moving once they disembarked. Once you navigate away from the hub you can move again. The one day I attempted to take a swim at the pool(s) it was packed with children. One look and I avoided the wave pool, the lagoon pools were crowded and some were using those lazy-river tubes in the pool to play with, the best you could do is jump in, get wet and get out. The adult swim area wasn't much better as far as crowds go, and good luck finding a chair without a towel on it. I would highly recommend Mandalay Bay for a conference, it provides many options without having to leave the facilities, or book it if you have a family. Going to Las Vegas for a vacation, my personal choice would be to option a hotel further down the strip.

"Front Desk"

We Stayed at MB a few days ago hoping we could check in early. We had the kids with us and booked adjoining rooms. Our stay was awesome but I wanted to make sure I mentioned the gal at the front desk, Abbey, who went way above and beyond to ensure we got our adjoining rooms and were able to check in early. We had just came from 3 days of camping in 100 degree plus temperatures and just wanted to get our rooms and relax in some AC. Abbey totally took care of us and it was a great way to start our Vegas vacation. I can't say enough about her. I was amazed with the the effort she forth. Thank you MB, we'll be back!!!!
