I've been staying for a week for a business trip; the hotel is very big with hundreds of room (this is pretty the norm in Las Vegas), rooms are big, not new, thin walls and this could be a problem if you wake up easily with noises coming from the room near you or from the corridor, especially during the week end it could be very noisy. the pool is nice and the TopGolf club one is really really nice. Tons of restaurants in the casino area, you'll surely find the one for you

I was concerned due to the negative reviews, but we were pleased with this hotel. Great customer service--they promptly upgraded us and changed our room after a negative experience with a lousy neighbor. Our room was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is enormous, the pool is great! We checked out wet republic, but the MGM pool is far better unless you like sitting in steaming hot water with a million other people. Only downside to this hotel was the hour long check in process.

I want to start by saying that this was a fabulous stay, and my only reason why I can not give it 5 stars, is because of the room itself, but everything else was 5 star all the way. The MGM Grand is true resort. You can spend three days here and you would not have to repeat a restaurant, an incredible show, or even the type of drink you want to have by the pool, or which pool you want to swim in. I also have to say that the MGM Grands staff is probably the best trained staff I have ever seen. It is like each and every one of them, from housekeeping, to managers have been programmed to make your stay perfect. I can not even do this point justice in a review, but I will tell you as I look back at negative reviews about the hotel, I can guarantee that the writer must have kept what was wrong to themselves. Because they ask multiple times during your stay to find out if everything is to your liking and if not they will correct it. The check in procedure was the best in Vegas (NO LINES!!!!!!). There is an email that you receive if you do online check in. Then when you arrive you go to a kiosk and boom, your keys pop out of the machine. It was awesome. I was literally from my plane to my room in under 25 minutes (including getting a cab and my luggage). The room we chose was a StayWell room. I honestly expected the room to be nicer. Like more lit up and modern looking. This room looked worn, but that being said was still a fine room. The room was very large, beds were extremely comfortable, bathroom was large, and the air filter system removed any odor that may have been in the room. My only complaint (which I called down for) was that the air conditioning system just wasn't getting the room cold enough. It was stuck at 75 degrees, and I am used to sleeping in 68 degrees. That being said they sent maintenance up twice to repair it, but they said everything was working fine (meaning the air was blowing ice cold) but the room still was not cooling. They also removed my resort fee for that night, as a gesture, which I thought was extremely kind and unexpected. Everyone claims Disney has the best customer service, but I can tell you I stay at Disney 3 times a year, and have never had any offer like this, or any offer for them to compensate in anyway. The fitness room was fine, nothing outstanding, but plenty of equipment. The pool complex is huge, with a lazy river that takes about ten minutes to get around. There are waitresses all over the pool area so its nice that you do not have to wait for a drink. There is an adults only pool as well, if you want to stay away from the children. Also in the hotel is a food court, similar to a mall food court. We ate lunch here one day, just to avoid the heat on the pool deck. Lots of options for any appetite. I have to say also that the location directly on the end of the strip makes it ideal to walk up and down the strip, or get taxis. There is also a monorail station right in the casino itself, so we took advantage of that and cruised down to the other end of the strip in less than 5 minutes. Pretty cool!! I have to give a special shout out to Charlene Edwards (I sure hope I have her name right. It was definitely Charlene) in Guest Experience. She checked in on us numerous times during our stay and did everything she could to insure the absolute best experience for us. Really an exceptional person. Overall I would say this hotel is great. I would absolutely stay here again because I know that I would get great customer service to insure a great experience, and to me that is worth it.

it was my first return to MGM after a long time. I have to admit they are not what they used to be. I think becoming the largest hotel in Vegas has gotten the better of them. come on guys. pay attention to your guest.

"Great casino and facilities but very poor room "

The MGM casino and facilities are brilliant. There are so many restaurants, the pool area is very big with a lazy river and the casino is great. However the hotel room itself was not nice. We stayed in a room in the west wing. The room was very dark and quite dirty. There was mould in the shower and splashes all over the bathroom door that hadn't been cleaned. There were stains on the carpet. The make up mirror in the room was broken and there was a crack in the main mirror. Despite asking the housekeeping staff to clean the room the stains were still all over the glass, walls and carpet. It made us feel uncomfortable staying in such a dirty room.
