"One of the best hotels"
Very modern and comfortable hotel. Nice decoration and common areas. I recommend if you can stay there as it’s also very well located on the strip. The only cons now is the rate but you get what you pay.
"Excellent hotel but check in/out is LONG!! "
Stayed here with a friend at beginning of June for our 1st ever trip to Vegas. A few friends recommended this hotel so it was our first choice when we booked our trip. Iv not had the opportunity to stay in any 4/5* hotels before so my first impressions were really good. The hotel looked modern and trendy. Upon arrival the other reviews are correct check in was painful! (Check out was just as bad) After an 11hr flight from the UK a 45 min wait was hard work! However once it was finally our turn we were lucky to get a free upgrade (we originally booked the basic cheapest room) to a newly renovated room in the Boulevard Tower on the 53rd floor with a view of the strip which was amazing! The room itself was huge with a living area, huge tv an massive bathroom! Loved the iPad controls for lighting, air con etc and no complaints in the cleaning services either. Spent most mornings at the pool on the 4th floor which was a bit more lively than the Chelsea pool, sun loungers are hard to come by after about 10am but nothing different from anywhere else Iv been in Europe and not a lot u can do about it which is a shame as I saw every time we were there, numerous sun loungers with towels on but no people ever came to claim them which is not fair :-/ Didn’t try any of the restaurants in the hotel apart from the wicked spoon buffet, we tried this once in the afternoon and once in the morning and both times I was disappointed, I just didn’t think it was worth $30-$40! Treated ourselves to room service a few times for breakfast and yes it’s pricey (not much more than the wicked spoon buffet tho) but the food and service was brilliant! We did go to the chandler Bar a few times and it was stunning! Overall we really enjoyed our stay I thought the staff were friendly and helpful whenever we needed them and would love to come back one day and stay again.
"Terrible weekend experience"
I came here with about 7 friends to celebrate something special. Everything about this hotel was a disappointment. The room type, which ill explain at the end, was terrible, but most appalling was the after stay service of having a suit jacket shipped back to me that I had left in my hotel room. After my stay, I contacted the lost and found department to ask them to send me a suit jacket left in my closet in my room. They advised me I could either ship ground or overnight, to which I stated I didn't care how long it took, send it as cheaply as possible. I gave the employee from the hotel my credit card information and authorized a small charge to ship it back. Shortly afterward I received two charges on my credit card, not from the hotel, but from the shipping company located within the Cosmopolitan, adding up to almost double what I originally agreed to. The package arrived with my jacket shoved into a small cardboard box, very wrinkled and needing to be dry-cleaned. The hotel or the shipping company refuse to accept responsibility for the charges. To add insult to injury, I received a hefty bill for customs and duties from the shipping company because whoever filled out the forms to ship the jacket back filled them out wrong and stated it was a new jacket, so I had to pay to import it into Canada, even though it was already my jacket. The room type we received was also terrible: we checked into 3 rooms at the front desk and were told that one of the rooms (mine) had been upgraded for us free of charge to the accessible room! We thought this was exciting until we got to the room and realized it was not an upgrade at all, but was probably just the last remaining room type, and had to be given to someone. It was basically the same size except it was handicap accessible. Obviously these rooms were afterthoughts, as there was mold on the shower curtain, which was far too long for the space provided, as well as no walls around the toilet (as seen in other rooms). This wouldn't be a problem had the washroom not had a giant open hole into the room, rendering the toilet completely useless unless you're okay with zero privacy. This was the largest room we booked, because we wanted to use the couch area and terrace to gather with our group, but the toilet being out in open for everyone to see made it completely useless and made us travel to another room or a public toilet had we needed to use it.
Once again impressed. The check-in was approx 15 mins, we were early and they offered up a terrace suite at an additional rate per night, but we declined as we had the terrace one bedroom, which was more than sufficient for us. We would have to wait a few hours to get our room we booked. I must admit our check-in attendant went above & beyond by giving us the suite at no extra charge, score! Points for her. The suite was super nice and almost 1000 sqft,& the deck was huge. No complaining here. This was an updated renovated room and even smelled brand new. This place seems to be the IT place to be, busy but not too overwhelming. Pools were great, lots of choices, even a hot tub which is in a covered area near the bar. Would always recommend this property if you have the extra cash to spend.
Fantastic hotel in a great location on the strip. Huge luxurious room, really comfortable bed and we had a fantastic view of the Bellagio fountains from our balcony. Only negative I could find is there was no kettle/tea tray in room.
