"Great view of the Falls"
We stayed 2 nights to visit the Falls and were not disappointed. The room was huge with an enormous bed, fab bathroom and a 'to die for' view of the falls. We could open the window and see and hear them. It is possible to sit on the sofa facing the fire and watch the Falls, they are mesmerising. Breakfast was very varied but expensive with little alternative in the town. The town is full of holiday attractions and the hotel is centrally placed for all of them.
"Rest and Relaxation"
Recently returned from a two night get-away with my daughter. It was a birthday gift for the two of us from my husband. We booked a deluxe king room on the 20th floor. The view was magnificent, the room spotless and the bed extremely comfortable. We used the spa facilities where we had excellent care and the most dreamy massages. The pool was not crowded in the morning but could have used a cleaning as it was getting murky. One evening we had dinner at the buffet where we sat at a table with an excellent view of the Falls. The food was generally good with a great variety of choices from appetizers to desserts. Service was excellent. Other times we ordered room service which was delivered promptly. Although the hotel food was delicious, eating in can be a bit on the expensive side. Check-in and check-out needs much improvement. I have a walking disability that requires that I sometimes use a cane. Checking in took over 40 minutes--a painfully long time to be standing. At registration I asked if there was a special line for people with disabilities. The answer was "No". This was rather surprising when the focus today is on accommodating diversity. We were, however, offered a discount on valet parking. Checking out was just as bad. Perhaps better use could be made of the gold/platinum line as I never saw more than 4 or 5 people at any one time. At one point two registration desks were serving them. The other long line of people had one registration desk serving them until another opened up. We did enjoy our stay would like to return but I am hoping that next time the organization for checking in and checking out has improved.
"Just the best view!"
American Falls is closer, with the horseshoe Falls in the distance. A panoramic view. Other hotels are closer, but the downhill walk is no fun. From the Sheraton it's a nice stroll along the rivers edge right up to the Falls. Of course it's right beside the amusements on Clifton hill. Jamie Kennedy's restaurant was excellent, delicious salads and excellent fish entrees. Fine and friendly staff.
"worth extra for the view"
My wife & I took our 11 year old grandson & chose a room with panoramic view - well worth the extra especially for the night colours on the falls, take camera & tripod to shoot stills & video. Large beds were a bit bouncy, no safe deposit box in room were the only poor points. TV in the bathroom was a novelty. A buffet lunch in the restaurant was a good experience with excellent views inside & out of the falls. Overall a good choice for our 2 nights, lobby very busy but efficient.
Beautiful room very quiet with a fantastic view both Falls. Bed seemed a little soft not sure if it was just different than home. We had the Buffet for both one dinner and one breakfast. Both were very good.
