We stayed at the Sheraton for the last night of our holiday after visiting different places in Canada. The hotel is fantastic and staff are very attentive. I would recommend getting a falls view room as it can be expensive however the view makes up for it. The rooms are very spacious and have most amenities. Unfortunately the room was not quiet and you could hear quiet plainly what people were saying in rooms next to you. The room also did not have a safe, which was not ideal when you are travelling with important documents and money. Other than this the hotel is very nice and I would definitely recommend.
"Location is great, but the staff make this hotel"
My husband and i stayed one night, to celebrate a special occasion. We arrived before the regular check in time, and were prepared to wait. We were greeted at check in by a wonderful young gentleman, Benjamin. He was attentive and courteous. We were made to feel very welcome. All of the amenities were explained to us, and all of our questions were answered. What a delight. I hope that Sheraton on the Falls realizes the value of having staff that make that extra effort. It is a rare thing these days.
"Service friendly, location ok, but outdated"
My husband booked a SPG free night for me and our 3 kids (he's Platinum Preferred). Booking was smooth, check-in was smooth and friendly (got upgraded to falls view, had requested a suite upgrade but not available). Location is good in a sense it's close the Rainbow bridge and great view of the American falls and depending on a the floor, also of the Horseshoe Falls. However, it's a very busy area with Clifton on the Hill next door (which was completely not my thing: too touristy, too crowded, nothing to do with the grand nature of the falls). Service was good, no complaints, staff accommodating and friendly. My main concern is the state of the property ... it's very outdated. The decor is all brown, dark and the rooms, hallways, lounge and pool areas need a major overhaul. It's just not up to date in any way, form or shape. I am truly not sure whether I would spend money for this property but a lot of the properties in this area seem to be in similar shape. The tourists are coming anyway, and they seem to be happy and let's face it we didn't spend much time in our room. The beds are fine (which is a big plus), the room is spacious (separate couch / sitting area), the bathroom is typical Sheraton (cramped, you can hardly get out of the shower and not step in the toilet). We had old (some with holes) and newer towels. Housekeeping was friendly, but again, the doors, the walls, the carpet, the decor ... it's soooo tired. Lounge ... same, but good choice of food. Went to indoor and outdoor pool. Outdoor better (and good view) than indoor. Indoor had dirty environment (was sitting on the bench near the windows and in between the windows and the bench was crap, trash, hairs ... disgusting. Don't get me wrong, I have seen very similar condition Sheratons in the US Canada, but as a European who has lived in Asia for 8 years, I know you wouldn't be able to market a hotel in this condition in Europe / Asia for this price level. It's time to catch up ... Would I recommend? Yes (location, beds, convenience, views, friendly service) and No (condition, proximity to craziness). Hence my 3*.
From the time you walk in down to check in, you just feel so welcomed! Crystal who helped us check in was absolutely a pleasure! She was so helpful and friendly! The view from our room was spectacular! John who works in the buffet restaurant was so nice! All in all had a blast staying here and would definitely come back!
"A great hotel"
We stayed here for one night whilst visiting Niagara and had a Falls View room. We were not disappointed! Wow. The view from our room was spectacular. The room was spacious and comfortable and even had a tv in the bathroom. We were so glad we had the views room as the heavens opened just before the firework were due to start but had the perfect view of them in the dry from our room. The hotel is inter connected to the water park, addition price and to the Hard Rock Cafe and casino. It has everything. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
