"3 day trip to niagra falls"
What a very nice hotel this is. We checked in quite late and was very helpful.we upgraded for a bigger room and we was not in a falls view room but one with 2 queen beds and just lean out of our window we could see the falls and only cost 10 dollars a night for the upgrade.i must say the bar and all the franchise chains in the hotel are very expensive so be aware Starbucks ,hard rock fast food mall is super dear. The breakfast the hotel offers is worth it and the restaurant is expensive but gives you a fantastic choice and you won't go hungry .The staff we encountered in various department in our stay was friendly and helpful. I would definitely go bk there if I went bk to niagra falls so anybody looking for a nice good priced clean helpful hotel I would 100% recommend it.
"Sheraton has class!"
We don't normally stay in higher end hotels but for the location and parking the package deal seemed like a good fit. From the moment we drove in until we left everything here was FIRST class. We walked in our room and I smelled moisture but we had so much to see we just dropped our stuff and went out to walk about. When we arrived back I took my shoes off and walked through the room and the carpet was soaking wet. I went to the front desk and they immediately put us in a new room, no questions asked. IN addition, for our "trouble" they gave us complimentary buffet breakfasts at the falls restaurant overlooking NIagra Falls. The breakfast was amazing three chefs personally cooking your choice of omelets, crepes and more. The best food we have ever had! At checkout the buffet ($167 for my family of 5) was applied to my receipt but there were not any issues having that adjusted. There were additional fees staying here that were not noted in the original room price, but other trip advisor posts had made me aware of this including the resort fee, parking etc. In all, it added about $75 to the overall bill but it was still worth it. I just think Sheraton should include those costs in the room so you know what you are booking. The pool was outdoors and provided an amazing view for the fireworks display over the falls, although some guests had moved chairs and saved seats hours before when people were still trying to swim which I found rude for a 10 minute show but you can't tell people how to behave, you can only model for your children. The elevators were a bit slow, we waited a lot for them. And since it was so busy and so many tourists, the smells lingered. I was somewhat glad to not have to deal with the elevator anymore. The hotel was on the corner of Cliffton Hills - something for all families can be found here for nights on end. From laser tag to mini golf, haunted houses and many brew houses and restaurants. I would FOR SURE stay here again!
"Outstanding stay at the Sheraton on the Falls... great views and great staff"
This hotel and the staff (from reception to General Manager) all care very deeply about their jobs and the customer experience- and it shows. I stayed for just one night (my first time at this hotel) and I was extremely impressed. Great SPG (Starwood loyalty program) recognition... if you are an SPG Gold or Platinum member, its definitely worth while to stay here. The views from the South side of the hotel are simply unbeatable... perfect views of both the Canadian and American falls... best in the area without question. Every staff member was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast at the Fallsview restaurant was great, as was the service. A specific thank you to Ashley (new guest service representative) to Don (General Manager) as well as the Guest Services manager... all of whom went out of their way to show they care and make me feel welcome. GREAT job. I will definitely be back.
"OK hotel, but the PF tax is outrageous."
Hey, this is a decent hotel right on the edge of the Falls, but they apply to every penny you spend a so-called PF tax, which is an arbitrary (borderline illegal) tax under the guise of Niagara Falls tourism. I am a resident of Niagara Falls and recently spent a few days at the Sheraton and spent a lot of money. They are not supposed to apply this charge to residents, neither is it supposed to apply to nonresidents who ask not to pay. (Is this not silly?) But they refused and I am not wealthy enough to get a lawyer. I wish I could sue this hotel into the ground!
"Watch out for "PF" tax - Promo Fee"
Again and again I come to Niagara Falls and get frustrated with the PF tax that is charged on almost everything you buy, including little shops. Sheraton is the worst worst for that. You park your car for $29 a day and they add $1.91 PF tax on that, you go for the massage at the hotel, they charge $8 PF tax, you have breakfast at the hotel and charge PF tax on top of all other taxes, you get coffee from Sheraton's Starbucks you get charged "PF" tax. When we checked in I told front desk that I am not willing to pay PF tax, they said its ok, they will not charge me. I received a bill under my door in the morning and sure enough all of the PF charges were there. I called the front desk and they removed it. VERY VERY ANNOYING! Boston Pizza at the Clifton Hill does not charge that tax and so all other shops on that side do not charge the non-sense PF tax. It's not about the money for me, its about the sneakiness in which they tax you on top of other taxes and resort fees that you are already paying. Some places call it TF - Tourist fee. Remember the only tax you have to pay is the HST and the Resort Fee at the hotel.
