Miami, waar de Atlantische Oceaan de Caribische zee ontmoet. Deze kleurrijke stad biedt voor elk wat wils.

"older hotel, pour breakfast."

we spend three nights at Four Points, in two rooms. One room was available at check in, that was Great!, Junior Suite 1016 , the carpet at the lobby on the 10th floor was in very bad shape, the unit was ok but everything look old, bathroom flooring ugly! Breakfast almost $20 (tax included) was classic, no cut meats, nothing special. Outdoor was nice but again when you look at the building façade you see an old picture of the 70

"Older hotel needs some updates/Terrible and Rude Manager"

My family and I booked a two-night stay at this hotel. I developed a bad taste in my mouth about this hotel before we even got there because their guest relations manager, Celso, was so rude on the phone when I called in to adjust my reservation due to damaged rooms from the hurricane. I caught him in a lie later on but never actually got to speak to him or see him because it seems he hides in the back office and doesn't actually contribute to being a valuable team member to his outstanding front desk agents. The lobby of the hotel is very nice but the rooms have been neglected a bit and the hotel itself is quite small. Everything in the area shuts down early except for Le Fountaine Bleu next door - which has a great open bar area. Overall, i'd have to say that the hotel is not bad but the distasteful treatment towards guests by Celso the manager will never lead me back to this Four Points or any other Four Points because he alone has ruined the image of this brand for me. Sadly, now that I have further read reviews of this hotel, this sentiment is shared by far too many.

"Not ready for Prime Time"

Stayed at this hotel from Oct 2-4, 2017. This establishment should not have been open for business! I was on the 4th floor and many rooms on that floor were still being refurbished as a result of hurricane Maria. The breakfast buffet while free was not impressive. Pool area could do with a good clean up. Entrance to pool had bare walls where pictures had been removed. Should have waited to re-open!!

"Great location, nice pool"

Stayed at the 4 Points Miami Beach on points 10/9-10/11/17. I was attending a business meeting at the Fontaineblue, but I wanted to stay with points and this was the nearest Marriott/Sheraton. Great location to the FB... a 2 minute walk either on the street or via the beach boardwalk. The 4 Points is an older property, but the rooms and lobby were kept up very well. Great breakfast buffet in the morning, poolside Margaritas were very good! I was upgraded to a corner suite with my Platinum membership, which I didn’t expect because it was pretty busy here. I’d stay here again if I had another meeting at The Fontaineblue.

"Average but at a decent price (at least when I was there)"

I paid approximately $120/night for my room. If you book at another time of year when rates are higher, you might want to look for another hotel. This Four Points is average, but at $120/night, what should anyone expect? The entire staff seems to be right out of "hotel school" - from the valet to the front desk to housekeeping. No one really knows exactly what they are doing, so they defer to other people for answers. And those people also have the same bewildered look in their eyes. The question ran through my mind many times, "Did you guys just open yesterday? Why does no one know (or care) what is going on?" But sadly, this property has been here for years. So, they should be more of a well-oiled machine, but they are definitely not. I have a half-dozen examples of this, but I'll just leave it at that and say "trust me on it; I travel a lot". Pros: It's on the beach. If you're lucky enough to be high enough with an ocean view (7th floor or higher), that's worth the price of the hotel. I assume it has beach access, and I hope they have some sort of beach chairs and umbrellas for guests. But I can't confirm that, since I didn't go to the beach (I'm here for work, ugh). The location (north of Southbeach) could be a pro or a con, depending on if you want access to night life versus just wanting a hotel on the sand. This hotel is close to Fontainebleau, but it is semi-far from the nightlife of Southbeach. The pool also looked decent. But the closest I got to it was from the window of my room looking down on it. There is a restaurant and bar on the property. But I hope you're not going to Miami Beach to hang out at the Four Points bar or restaurant! But they are there, if you want them, which was convenient for me (again, here for work. Ugh, again). The service was sub-par in the bar area. The bartender disappeared for looooong stretches of time, to the point where potential customers walked up, waited for a few minutes, then left unserved and frustrated. The water pressure in the shower is great! All mid-tier Starwood properties seem to be using the same grade of towels and wash clothes now (or they seem to be going that direction). So, now the towels at Four Points are as good as towels at Westins, which is nice. Cons: The air conditioning units in each room are too small. So, during the day the rooms don't stay cool. Worse, the overhead vents drip condensation because the small units are working so hard. I switched rooms because of this and had the same problem in both rooms. So if you're here when the outside temperature is over 80 degrees, you're probably going to have a semi-hot room with at least one patch of wet carpet. I've already mentioned the staff. They all need to tighten up their game. I'm looking at raisins stuck to the floor of my suite right now, and I didn't pack any raisins. Little things like that make a big difference in the overall enjoyment of a place. Housekeeping should notice five raisins stuck to the carpet of a room and the 3-4 under the end table. They didn't, and now that fact makes this TripAdvisor review. Congrats, Four Points, and you're welcome for the free advertising, Raisin Industry! (disclaimer: I don't work in the raisin industry). The bed was comfortable enough, but the pillows were as flat as pancakes. I've never had such terrible pillows at a Starwood property. They need to be replaced immediately. If you stack four of this location's pillows together, you have the thickness of one regular pillow. Conclusion... I would probably stay here again, for less than $120/night (and if other hotels on the beach were more than $120/night). But unfortunately I have to say that this location is not worth much more than that price.
