Het hotel is gebouwd in de karakteristieke Miami Modern, MiMo, stijl. In de weelderige tuin kunt u heerlijk tot rust komen aan het buitenzwembad. Het Sungrass Café is open voor ontbijt, lunch en diner. Het Four Points by Sheraton ligt direct naast het Holiday Inn Miami Beach, op zo'n drie kilometer van de actie en het vertier van South Beach. Op korte afstand vindt u de Bayshore Golfcourse en met de auto is ook het luxe winkelparadijs Bal Harbour uitstekend bereikbaar. Het mooie strand van Miami ligt hier direct voor de deur.

"DO NOT STAY HERE"

I attempted to check-in when I arrived at 1:00 pm. I understand this is not standard practice, but figured could not hurt to ask. I was told this was not possible and that I should com back at 4:00 pm. The gentleman at the front desk was short with me and clearly wanted me to move on. I asked to speak with the manager. He went behind a wall, came back out and said he could take my number and call when a room is ready. The manager, I was told named Marta, ran by me. No greeting, nothing. I went outside, checked back in at 2:30, still no rooms. I went out to my event, returned at 5:00, and checked-in. Jackie was the first person that was actually friendly helpful. Marta again ran by, trying to have little to do with the guests. I said, Marta, thank you for calling when my room was ready. Jackie apologized for her and gave a me free welcome drink ticket. The one request I made (in my reservation and when I did check-in) was for a quiet room. I was on a business trip and needed rest. This hotel is next door to the Soho Beach House. I was fine with a concert shaking my room at 11:00 pm but at 12:30, I called down to the desk and asked what time they shut down. I was told 5:00 am and that they could bring me ear plugs. The ear plugs did not help the pounding music at which rocked the windows and were unbearable. I decided to sleep in the bathroom as I could shut that door. I woke up at 4:30 - party still going. The following morning, I spoke with the front desk. The woman pretended to have no idea about the noise level and I told her I was so tired I wanted to cry. She said they had no other rooms they could move me to but she would check with Marta, great. Marta said yes, they could not help as they were fully booked. I called Starwood customer service and told them what was going on. Suddenly, Marta was able to help me! They moved me to an interior room. The following night was still loud but not to the same extent. I didn't feel like I was at the party next door at least. I cannot believe this is a Starwood hotel. The rooms were like dirty Motel 6 rooms - window panes disgusting, sheets old and worn, and you'll want to keep your socks on with the dirty carpets. The fitness center had the most foul oder - it was like they were purposely growing mold in the equipment. Bottom line, do not stay here. With the exception of the nice women in the restaurant, the staff needs to be retrained (or get out of hospitality) and the noise level is inexcusable. Starwood, I notified you about this one I called - you really need to be aware of the lack of the noise ordinance right to your property. For what this hotel charges, STAY AWAY.

"Overall good stay"

For the price, the hotel was great. The location is excellent (beach is in the backyard. It was a great day spent relaxing on the beach in Miami without breaking the bank. I went with my wife for a day, and we had a very nice getaway. Paying for parking is a bit annoying, but that's what you get for staying on Collins Ave.

"THIS HOTEL STEALS FROM PEOPLE"

Someone from Hotel Staff at the Four Points by Sheraton Miami Beach broke into my room last night, and stole 2 phones from the room. When we reported it to the front desk, they said just file a police report, and did not deny that it was someone from within the hotel. There are no cameras on the floor, and the hole for the hard key is jammed for the room. I spoke to some people (including the police) and they said this is pretty common at this hotel. The hotel refuses to do anything about it, no compensation of points for the stay, or compensation for the two phones, that cost approx $700 each. I strongly suggest that nobody stay at this hotel, and I will continue posting it and blogging about it all over the internet, until somebody from SPG takes responsibility, and owns up to this inexcusable behavior. Never again will I stay at any SPG hotels until this is resolved. — at Four Points Hotel, Miami Beach.

"Depressing and run Down"

I always book SPG and generally love them, but this hotel is old and decrepit. Had read the reviews which made it sound nicer then we've found it; they did mention it had been updated which it is, but really is like new carpeting over a run down building. The paint on the doors and railing is peeling, the bathroom is tiny and aside from a new sink its terrible. The water pressure is almost nothing, and the hallways are old and cheap. The other reviews noted the poor attitude of the staff; our experience has been mixed, and they are mediocre at best. All in all, probably our worst Starwood experience in years and such a letdown as we generally have great experiences with SPG.

From the moment I walked in, no greet, no smiles, no welcome, nothing. I've worked at a Four Points in CT, if I treated the guest the way I've been treated I'd get fired. I requested an early check in, I even called before hand to make sure it was ready, the woman I spoke to said it will be. I got there and guess what? It wasn't. I asked if they were sold out the night before because there shouldn't be any reason not to have any kings available if it's two hours before check in. So he gives us a two double beds. Didn't even tell us where the elevators were we were wondering around the lobby looking for them. The room was nice but we wanted an ocean view so there was an upgrade fee, we got the upgrade, get to the new room and the balcony door was broken. Still no apology no type of anything. In CT we would have waived the fee or SOMETHING to make the guest feel better. This visit was not up to Starwood standard. And it's a shame.
