""Average hotel""

Hotel is running down and in need of renovation ASAP. I stayed for 5 days. Housekeeping was nice and the room was very clean. Front desk associate Aylin was rude and unprofessional. She did not care at all about the guests in the hotel. The hotel only has valet parking, so you have to pay extra $36 a day for parking only and if you have to be somewhere try and call ahead of time because valet takes forever to bring the car. Only 2 elevators and most of the time only 1 working. Pool most of the time without towels. Only good thing I have to say is that is across the beach and good service & food in the restaurant.

"Terrible! "

If I could rate this hotel a ZERO that what it will be. Terrible rooms, BUGS Everywhere, terrible Wifi, and to top it off the management here are extremely rude and do not care about their guest. Only good thing I can say about this hotel was the overpriced restaurant have tasty food. I honestly wouldn't let me Dog stay in this hotel!

"Trust the horrible reviews, stay away!"

So many disappointments, where do I begin.....We found a used swim diaper in our room behind the pullout couch. The phone was covered in sand. Another member of our party wasn't given their room until 6:30 in the evening! Trash was overflowing in the hallway. There were no towels at the pool. There was only one working elevator, which was teeny-tiny, so even after waiting ten minutes for it to come, it was always full. Ice machines were broken on almost every floor. And the thing that left me speechless....When we were going to bed and pulled out the pullout couch for my teen daughter, we couldn't find any bed linens for it in our room. I called down to the front desk to ask for the bed linens to be brought to our room, and I was told - get this - that housekeeping was gone for the day, they didn't have the key to get to the supplies, and as a result, they had NO AVAILABLE BEDDING. I was flabbergasted. I asked the other members of our party if they could give me the extra linens in their room, and they didn't have any either! I called back to the front desk and asked if they could go to a vacant room and take the linens from there. About an hour later someone came to my door with one measly tattered sheet. I have never had such a terrible hotel experience. And judging from the other reviews, a lot of other people did too. Luckily we were only spending one night there. We couldn't wait to leave. This place is a mismanaged mess. Go somewhere else!

"Average at best!"

We stayed one night and my brother in law stayed two. Our stay was not what I have experienced with SPG hotels. Upon staying here, I read reviews during our stay so I'll provide some updates on pro/cons based on others experiences and our stay. Here we go... Cons - Lunchable found in our fridge; Air broken for one night; one elevator for one night; carpet has stains and tile in the rooms is dirty looking; lobby smells humid; no pool service to lounge chairs; pool tiles looks moldy; no valet attendants...had to go find someone. No bell service to help with bags (or at least none to be found). Windows of ocean view rooms is old and dirty. Hallway carpets are dirty with stains. Our door was jammed and had to be slammed into to open. My brother in law got stuck in an elevator. Elevators are half the size of a resort hotel. Only bar was a hole in the wall outside by the pool that closed by 5-6pm. Wifi provided free but you're better off using your own data plan because service stinks. Pros - Provided blanket upon request; sofa bed had sheets; provided extra pillows upon request; beach is close walking distance to the pool; plenty of pool towels when needed; lunch at the pool was excellent; plenty of self-serve bell carts. Bed was comfy (ocean view suite). Lots of closet space. Self serve complimentary coffee (although was like warm at best). There a small gift shop for necessities and they sell pool floats for the kids. We won't be back nor will we recommend.

"Ok hotel but nothing special - needs updating & staff are disinterested"

I stayed at the Four Points for 3 nights, as part of a family holiday in Aug 2017 - 2 adults & a 12yr old. Pros:- it's a great location and rooms are well equipped. Cons:- the hotel is dated, parking is expensive & staff are dis-interested Summary:- the hotel is ok, but this was our first visit to Miami and now we've seen other hotels, we would probably opt to stay at those instead as this one was below the standard we expected. Location The hotel is located on Collins Ave with views from the rooms of either the ocean or Indian Creek - both are lovely. We had a view to the front of the hotel towards the Creek. The walk along Collins Ave towards Ocean Drive is really nice and vibrant especially at night! Arrival Arrival at the hotel - there's a small pull in on the main road for the reception - it's a busy road and parking is a challenge! Leaving the car is expensive - $36 for valet whilst self park - just across the road - is just slightly cheaper at $34. Valet parking was fine - it took a bit of time to collect the car, as it had to be brought from the car park around the corner. Their approach to security was a bit lax with the keys just left at the counter - this could be improved upon. The reception area of the hotel is very nice - very spacious and welcoming. The staff were pleasant and there is a free coffee station in the reception area. Rooms The rooms are also spacious but the hotel has a slight damp smell and the carpet looks as though it could do with a really good clean. Our room had a piece of plasterwork which had worked its way loose - this had just been left on the floor with no attempt to repair it. The rooms have a large tv, clock with USB ports, iron, hairdryer (didn't work), coffee machine, microwave and fridge. There is also an in room safe - which looked as though it was very, very old - but it worked ok! We had two double beds and they were comfortable - the pillows were fantastic - very soft! Housekeeping wasn't very good - they didn't replace the towels and didn't leave any coffee after the first day - in fact, they even took the plastic filter holder from the coffee machine! Very strange but a phone call to reception solved this problem. However, for some reason, I was woken that same night by maintenance banging on the door - sometime after midnight - asking if they could repair the air conditioning - which wasn't actually broken! The chap was very apologetic for waking us, but it was something that we could have done without. On subsequent nights, Housekeeping let us down again by not replacing any coffee and even taking all the cups! This was a poor standard and wasn't really acceptable. Gym & Pool Whilst we were there we used the gym and pool. The gym was a bit tired and the equipment could have done with updating - but it worked. The gym is air conditioned. All in all - adequate for training but only adequate. The roof leaked and there was water dripping onto the floor - an attendant was fully aware of this but didnt appear to do anything about it! The pool is lovely - well equipped with beds and towels and there is also a jacuzzi. The hotel is right on the beach - it's a great location. Unfortunately the access to the beach from the hotel was closed due to renovation to the decking, which meant a longer walk through the adjacent hotel onto the lovely boardwalk. It was only an inconvenience and once completed, it was fine. Problems On the final morning of our 3 night stay, the water at the whole hotel was off...there had been a problem overnight which hadn't been resolved by the morning. A call to reception secured a later check out time of 1pm, which was reasonable in th circumstances. Summary In summary, it's a comfortable hotel, with spacious rooms but is a little tired and needs some updating. There were problems during my stay - especially, housekeeping who were terrible - poor standards and no attention to even the basic things! Staff are dis-interested. I would stay here again if there was nowhere else - if you're considering it, then do it for the location and nothing else - although, there are plenty of other hotels in the same vicinity.
