We stayed here for two nights late April, we were upgraded to a suite at check in, definitely was a great surprise to us! The hotel is beautiful, the staff is very nice and friendly. Don't judge a book by its cover, the whole street is in construction. Nice big pool, the place is huge. Modern look to it, it was clean, the bed was super comfortable. Good feel to the place. The WiFi isn't that great though, and keep in mind it's Miami so it was loud enough but the way the room was made we didn't hear too much when sleeping. They have happy hour for 1$ between 6pm to 7pm drinks every night (we liked that!) The beach is literally 5 min walk away! And it's gorgeous! They have alot of chairs on the beach, try to get it free with your room. It's pretty convenient. Pretty average pricing. There was a paying breakfast straight in the hotel. We didn't use it but you might want to know about that. Very good stay, we would most likely stay again, but it's a bit of a party place, so we would think twice only because of that.
We took two rooms here for 4 nights as part of our vacation. Overall it is a nice place but nothing outstanding. It's not cheap but it isn't expensive for Miami Beach. It isn't up to the standard of what most would expect for an American hotel but it is one of the older buildings close to the Art Deco area. The rooms are basic and need renovating but are clean and comfortable.
"Pesty and not secure"
I had booked a room in order to celebrate a birthday on a wed/thurs evening. I was pleased that due to availability that night my room was upgraded to a suite. The was the only decent thing about the stay. I was woken up in the middle of the night to a roach the size of my pinky in my bed. I shook it off considering i'm not being a newbie to the Miami weather/bug problem. The next day after room service has clearly been in the room, the door was left ajar, meaning ANYONE could have gone in within the 5+ hours I was out. COME ON now! I let house keeping know it was not cool upon my return and instead of getting into a screaming match I chose to walk back into my room. (housekeeping needs to work on their attitude) My last straw was when my very expensive sandals were stolen. I had packed that morning and after checking out soon realized I had left them in the bathroom to dry. I instantly called back to retrieve them only to be told that they were NOT in the room and that the director of housekeeping had checked. They most definitely were there and I was appalled that the front desk hung up on me twice when I had asked to speak to said Director. Overall I wanted to give this place a shot, but customer service is just not a priority, and for someone who frequents in SoBe that is very disappointing.
"Are you kidding me?"
Found this place at the last minute on trivago. It has good ratings and the staff was nice. Here is what was not nice: hookers!. I kid you not. When we walked in, one was arguing with the front desk and swearing up a storm because he wouldn't give her a key. Then my son and I had the pleasure of riding down the elevator with one when she had finished her day's work. Room was fine - but absolutely nothing to write home about - I have stayed in much nicer Super 8's on the side of the highway. Bathroom needed repairs. Was up until 3 am because three guests were chatting in the courtyard outside of our window - honestly, they were not being "loud" or out of control - the sound of their laughing just echoed off the walls (thus I did not feel like calling the front desk to break up their get together). The next morning was much better as the "gals" seemed to have moved on. Again, staff was very nice. The price was good - $115, so I should not have expected too much.
This was a fairly average hotel. Room was clean, but plain. No hair dryer, but the bath products smelled divine! (citrus scent). We took part in the Happy Hour out on the patio and the bartender there gave us a great recommendation for dinner that we thoroughly enjoyed! (Monty's Sunset).. I don't know that I'd stay here for an extended stay, but for one night before our cruise it fit the bill..
