"Great Staff in an old Hotel and terrible AC"
The Hotel is very comfortable and pretty in its own old ways. The staff was great, very friendly! The room was ok good bed, average bathroom, the TV was old and not in HD, but the AC in the room was the worst. I felt like I was sleeping with a lawnmower next to me and the worst part it didn't even chilled the room.
"Love this hotel "
This was a beautiful nice hotel for a good price . Julian was very very helpful in helping us and making us feel welcome. The pool Is beauttful the rooms are so pretty with nice mirror and comfortable beds and the outside patio is beautiful! I definitely recommend
First of I booked this hotel because of the reviews on booking.com which were pretty good. My husband and two daughters spent 3 nights. They put us in a room were our view was on a street with construction and we couldn't put the blinds up due to people walking by which made the room really dark and gloomy. The beds were horrible to sleep on and we suffered with back pains when we left. The washer and dryer are outside which only the washer worked but of course my clothes were already wet because they hadn't service the dryer. They only give you two beach chairs and one umbrella even though I had 4 people in my party. The pool area was poorly taken care of. They had a fake free happy hour which really was a $1 for every drink that was in a extra small cup. No complimentary free coffee. The only good thing was my daughters has a good time and it was convenient to everything. I do not recommend staying here.
"You get what you pay for-not in a good way"
I stayed here for one night only because the night was non-refundable when i purchased early March. (If i would've read earlier reviews, I may have not booked this hotel at all) For starters I requested early check in because I knew I would arrive before 3pm. As I expected, No rooms available. So we placed our luggage in the Concierge area and went on our way for roughly 5hrs! (Concierge area is open, its not a room so if you have anything that's of value, take it with you. ONLY one bell boy. When we came back to check in he wasn't there. safe to say valuables weren't safeguarded) I was starving, they do offer breakfast buffet for about 15.00. I took a peak and it wasn't worth it. Kitchen is small and so was the buffet, found better food on the strip. The only thing ill say is the woman who worked the register was polite. I bought a cranberry juice for 3.00 and she gave me a free refill. (Highlight of the trip) The hotel is what it is.NOTHING SPECTACULAR. They do have a pool and sitting areas. Young crowd and noisy. You can hear everything so if you don't like that...find a new hotel. After finally checking in, there is one elevator. (its tiny) fits 2 people comfortably and 4 crammed. Ok lets get to the room... We got a standard room with two full size beds. (Wanted a suite but they were sold out at time of booking) Room is misty and small. There is no in between so either its hot or cold not comfortable when it comes to the AC. also AC is a unit, not central air. Beds were hard but manageable. Didn't see any bugs or disgust like i read in earlier reviews which was a plus! Bathroom small and basic. The nicest thing was the sink. looks like it was updated! Its a basic hotel with basic rooms. don't expect anything spectacular. The only reason i'm giving them 3 stars is because i didn't have any issues like i read during other reviews and it's in a central location to the strip. I was disappointed because they do offer a FREE happy hour from 6-7 and the night i stayed which was a SATURDAY, the bartender who was suppose to be there didn't show up. Not only did he miss out on money, its unprofessional and it really makes the hotel look bad. They only hire one bartender for a busy Saturday? Not good. Safe to say I stayed there that night, woke up the next morning and checked into my other hotel. What the hotel needs to work on is AC. (Central Air in each room may not be a bad idea), hire more then one bartender and bell boy, Consider getting a room for luggage for customers who arrive early and don't have a room, and lastly update the rooms. Even if you cant do a complete remodel, maybe some nice decor or color may make the room look less basic. Safe to say, I will not stay at this hotel again. Pay a little extra for a nice hotel, its worth it. This hotel is more for young college students on a budget or spring break where you'll rarely be in the room but to sleep.
"No Complimentary Breakfast"
I was kind of expecting breakfast to be complimentary. When I came downstairs, I found that they were trying to charge me $16 for the "best value" breakfast buffet. They also had a happy hour special the night before where they gave me a "free" $1 drink, but turned around and charged me $8 for a beer. It seems like they want to take every possible opportunity to drain my pockets, as if staying in the hotel weren't expensive enough. I don't know how this compares to other hotels in the area, but I was thoroughly unimpressed.
