Over The Townhouse

"Imposible to sleep. Choose another one. Terrible"
The hotel in general is become poor and old fashion. But that is not the worst. The worst is that they have a roof top bar, almost a disco that still open plenty of people and with very loud music until two and a half in the morning . The elevator finish in the four floor and the roof top is in the 5th so if your room is in 5th floor or in the forth you have people talking screening and even fighting in front of your door all the night. The bar bathroom was I front of our room so noise was continuos. We where even afraid. I try to change room -it is supposed i hav the best one in the hotel- but no body wanted to help the director was not in he hotel an was imposible to talk to him It was one of the two worst night I never had. Personally I think is even deshonest to rent the room in the 5th floor knowing in advance that the guest will cannot sleep. Not fair.
Stayed there for 5 nights during our honeymoon around the US. Cute hotel and for the price you pay you can't expect more than an average room. The mattress is thin though but the room is generally clean and bright. the bathroom is a little outdated. We read on the reviews that breakfast was complimentary although when we got there, there was no breakfast at all. The music from the restaurant downstairs is loud and the food wasn't to our taste. Great location as it's a 1 minute walk to the beach and close to other eateries nearby, Wouldn't stay there again only because there's no pool on the premises.
"Will not be staying here again "
Arrived for 5 nights, decided to book this hotel as reasonably priced...now I know why. Hotel reception appears quirky, however the rooms are a let down I would say below average. The TV hardly worked and the bathroom is quite frankly disgusting. The reception staff were not helpful at all. Asked about the basic shuttle services along Collins Avenue. The reply I had "I don't know, go to the bus stop and there's a map". Also had two rainy days asked receptionist if they could recommend somewhere to go and my reply was a shrug of the shoulders and a "I don't know, shopping?"...not very helpful at all. Also the rooftop terrace that looks appealing in the photos was not functioning. No lights turned on at night and no bar. On arrival we were informed that we could use the pool at the sister hotel The Raleigh on 18th street, however when we arrived they said "No, pool is closed for maintenance for a few weeks" yet we were not told about this. I was not expecting luxury by any means but all in all a very disappointing experience. Would recommend staying closer to Ocean Drive.
"Quaint little Art Deco hotel "
A cute little Art Deco hotel in Miami Beach. We could tell it's been renovated recently. Very clean and friendly staff. Valet your car ($36/day) because there is no place to park. Be prepared to carry your bags from the street up quite a few stairs since they don't have a bellman.Everything else was quite nice. The rooms had everything needed for a weekend stay. We had free wifi, a stocked mini fridge, and safe in the closet but no coffee maker. Had to go downstairs and buy coffee for $7. The bathroom was spotless but small. I would have liked more than the 2 bath towels (no washcloths or bath mat). Location is awesome. Don't need the car. Walk right to the beach and get courtesy use of The Raleish's beach chairs. BTW this hotel doesn't have a pool. This hotel is right on Collins Ave for shopping and dining. A few blocks walking and you're on Lincoln. The Ramen restaurant is on the bottom floor. Awesome food. I had the poke bowl and husband had black miso with Ramen and egg. Very artsy mood. There is a rooftop bar that features live music and wonderful views of Miami Beach with plenty of lounge chairs and sofa type furniture. Edison lights are strung everywhere and a nice breeze was blowing keeping us cool even in August. We had a corner room which was nice but we heard all the street noise. All in all I'd stay here again.
"A hidden surprise."
I usually stay at the Delano but they were fully booked and I came across this place and all I can say is I am truely grateful I did. A perfect location in every respect, polite boutique hotel will every amenity you could wish for, during the day the roof terrace pool and hot tub and deck areas are amazing with views to match and by night it transforms into a very sleek bar and music venue, very much like a private party. The staff were overtly helpful, nothing too much trouble, just a brilliant hotel.
