"Must try restaurant at hotel"
This beautiful hotel has a restaurant with amazing views and really friendly staff. The food is delicious and is a must try. We spent a week in Buzios eating out every night and this place is by far the best we tried and it wasn't expensive. It's 5+ stars. I would definitely go back and highly recommend to anyone visiting Buzios.
Casas Brancas is the most unique place to stay in Buzios. Located right next to Orla Bardot and Rua das Pedras, it has a spectacular ocean view but has not direct access to the beach. Everything is beautiful and clean. Rooms are modern, with Loccitane amenities, the best towels and bed sheet. The breakfast has a good variety of fresh fruits, juices, breads (including gluten free), and omelets / eggs/ tapiocas done as requested. Staff is very kind and always willing to help, and the SPA is a life time experience. Looking forward to stay there again.
"An amazing experience!"
Its without a doubt on eof the best hotels in town, if not the best! The place is super comfortable, the rooms have a beautiful view to the water. The restaurant is exquisite. Really good food. The pool isnt great, everything needs to be said. Staff, super helpful and friendly. Oh, and the spa!! a must try for sure, the therapies are truly relaxing and enjoyable.
Good looking hotel with a great pool area and terrace. Picture perfect views, beautiful sunsets from the deck. We stayed for 3 nights, first night we were in a room overlooking the street where cars and people pass to get to the main road in town. It was a bit noisy and no privacy and we always had to keep the curtains drawn if we were in bed or coming out of the shower. The front desk was sympathetic and moved us to a a floor up above the pool with a small balcony. The rooms in general seem to have poor sound insulation and poor beds. Our air con was also moldy and very loud. Needless to say we did not get very good sleep at the hotel. However, the public spaces were pretty, fantastic sunsets from the deck and the staff mostly excellent with the exception of the pool attendant who was lazy or rude. First day there, I'd sat down and asked for a towel, he pointed to a basket across the deck. Why is there a pool attendant if not to help out? Breakfast was delicious and fresh with made to order menu. We loved getting up and sitting on the balcony, breakfast for two overlooking the harbor. I had a massage at the spa, no expectations and an older lady with short hair was my masseuse and she was rather good. Hotel room comfort needs improvement, new beds and air cons at the least and I could rate higher.
Me and my friend went here over christmas to get away from Rio for a while. From the moment we arrived untill the moment we left, we felt welcome and looked after. Attention to details was great, like small welcome, departure and christmas gifts. The reception desk was also very nice and spoke good english, which felt nice for a swede knowing little to no portugese. The ladies were also beautiful ;) Pool crew was attentative and we had no problem with towels or sunbeds. Big umbrellas was needed from time to time because it was so hot, which was good. They should have a few more as backup tho if needed since hard to cover the whole sunbed. Drinks were also good, a bit mixed in quality from day to day tho. Cant really complain about the room, it was nice and decent, good french balcony with a nice view, room 32. Shower was amazing. The minibar needs some liquore tho, not just champagne. Cleaning was great. The restaurant had mixed food in my opinion. Caesar sallad during day good, burger was so and so. Dinner, it all looked nice but was a bit tasteless to be honest. I guess swedes are also more used to having sauces with everything. Meat in itself was great tho. Breakfast was amazing and made on demand which is classy. When we were too hungover to show ourselves, we got it served at the room 😂 But they were all very service minded and nice, we got potatoes and eggs served when we asked for it for our imported christmasfood of herring together with a friend of ours we invited who could also join. The view and sundown was top notch and also the lightning of the hotel during the evening. I generally liked the pool, but it could be cleaned a bit more. But i actually though it was a nice touch with the flowers falling down into the pool from the bushes above. Only thing i really didn't like, as a single good looking swede, was not being able to having guests sleep over. I do understand the reason tho ie not to disturb the other guests on honeymoon, prevent prostitution, being another type of hotel or similar..but it made us feel a bit bad in mood. Especially if you find passion and can not pursue it without feeling like a pervert. Sex is obviously reserved for people already in relationships 😋 But i know we are a bit extreme, but i think this should be revewed from case to case even if you still have general policy. However, we will be back for sure next time we visit Búzios, probably with more friends! Creds to management who seems to have fixed a lot of issues. John
