"Dated, but decent stay for 1 night"
Hotel is a little outdated, but I suspect it's the same for most of the hotels at Niagara Falls. It's within walking distance to the Falls park. Only there for one night on Christmas night, didn't explore much as most businesses are closed. Walkable to the casino. Free breakfast is served at tony romas. Breakfast Buffet is not offered on 12/26, only ala carte items and the portion is huge.
"Very responsive to concerns with hotel!"
Great hotel location and nice sized rooms. Spent 2 nights here and had a few issues with the hotel and customer service was excellent. Checked in Saturday and they told me parking was $10.80/day even though it wasn't posted on website, just the price of a shuttle to the airport. Told them I would pay it if it was posted on website, thought it was sneaky at check-in Price of parking was on website on Monday at $10.80 on website and price of airport shuttle was off, thought that was great response time. Room was not made up from one night but was addressed by manager Nicole and guest services as to where the disconnect was. The fact they addressed my concerns immediately and tried to make it right, makes this a 4-star hotel structure and customer service. Coffee in the room and gift bag at check-in is nice touch :) Will stay here in future since the manager told me to address concerns directly with here next time. Inside tip: Avoid first floor rooms unless you want view of a wall. Vote "YES" if you found this useful
Awful- not clean...was up all night as guest across the hall were partying and smoking marijuana. Police were eventually called to deal with this situation and the hotel made not attempt on their own to compensate us for our troubles. E-mailed corporate and was told it would be handled by the hotel itself..four days later nothing. Unprofessional staff..not safe or sanitary for families- children were exposed to substantial amounts of marijuana smoke. Do not book a room here.
"Good choice on the US side of the Falls"
Stayed the weekend for a hockey tournament in Niagara Falls. This is a good, value hotel choice. Service at check in and check out was very friendly and efficient. The common areas are clean and well kept -- though basic. The room was clean and comfortable as was the bedding. There is a Tony Roma's onsite which provided us with some decent fare.
Often times you hear tourists belittle the New York side of Niagara Falls. Well, I thought it was awesome! I've been to both sides and enjoyed the NY side more. Stayed at the Holiday Inn on Buffalo Ave, which is about a fifteen minute walk to Niagara Falls National Park and the both falls. From our fourth floor view, we actually saw the river and mist of the falls. At night, we saw the illuminated mist--was amazing! Just across the street is Goat Island--natural surroundings was beautiful as all the trees were orange, red, yellow and brown--autumn! Walked around the most charming cafes and restaurants. On our last night, we had NY style pizza that was to die for--and reasonably priced. Unforgettable trip! Be careful you don't stay at the Holiday Inn that is a bit farther or you'll have to drive and pay for parking.
