Over Sheraton at the Falls

"Excellent Property with Proximity to Casino"
This property has everything you need! You won't want to leave, but if you do the Casino, the Falls, even downtown Buffalo are all near by. The Casino is even close enough to walk from the hotel. I was hosting a reunion event and the event staff was great to work with, very accommodating and quick with their replies. They even added a hand-written welcome note in my room. It's thoughtful touches like that, that make me want to keep coming back. The actual property has modern rooms and finishes. The pool has a live aquarium feature in it that was something different. There is a TGIFridays and a Starbucks within the hotel, so you really don't need to go anywhere. In the morning, we took advantage of the continental breakfast on our floor and it was so much more than the pre-packaged danishes and boxed cereal that I was expecting. Free Wi-fi and parking were nice perks too! And the staff is helpful and courteous on top of all the properties features! Not only would I stay here again, I'd happily host another event.
Halls were hot. Rooms were dark. My socks were kind of sticking to the floors. I wore my shoes while in the hotel room which after a long day of walking was actually quite annoying. The pool was nice. It was good and warm in there. Large pool area. Could have been cleaner. Overall- it was alright. I probably would opt to try a different hotel if I were to return. The hotels on the Canadian side were much nicer and we enjoyed our stay at a Canadian side much more a couple of days prior to this.
I chose this hotel due to a good deal through Living Social and we were very happy with our stay. The hotel is reasonably close to the Falls, across the street from the casino, and had two restaurants on site. The Falls were gorgeous to visit in the winter. The staff were friendly and accommodating, the person who checked us in took the time to explain all the perks of the deal we had bought. The room was very comfortable, especially the bed, and clean. We had no issues during our stay and were nothing but satisfied. We would definitely return to this location.
"Awesome indoor pool and great service"
The indoor pool is really nice with 2 hot tubs and a changing room. We were there for a wedding and they put us all in rooms right together and gave us each a welcome gift bag the bride had made. Very nice and helpful. Put a welcome to us on their hotel event announcement screen. Made us feel really special.
"Great value, great staff"
My boyfriend and I decided since we have toured the "Canadian side" (our side) a few times to change it up. We went Saturday-Monday which was Ontario family day and also presidents day in the states, so it was difficult to get packages/"great deals" price wise but the hotel staff did do what they could to be accommodating. Rooms are outfitted well with fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Bathroom was a bit small with a shower (no tub) but that was ok with us. Some of the decor is a little outdated but I've noticed this with a few of "sheratons." The pool was great, with a "shark tank" with sharks and stingrays, and a faux reef with tropical fish. Hot tubs very nice, although the chlorine was a bit strong. We happened to be at the hotel the weekend of a hockey tournament so pool on Saturday was pretty crazy. Rainforest cafe was pricey and had a lengthy wait between 5 and 8pm. TGI Fridays was very reasonable and I got a great deal on a Groupon. Waitress could have been better but that's a separate review. *The arcade is ok to amuse the kids while waiting for dinner, and was worth it with my groupon: but if you want impressive arcade entertainment specifically, 'flip back to the north" to The Great Canadian Midway (That was an unfair place to set my standards.) Nice location for walking to falls, and Seneca casino; which, we were pleasantly surprised includes beverages while you're playing and is "smoke friendly" in most places. (this does not happen at home!)- **ALSO for my fellow canadian travellers: THERE IS A TIM HORTONS AND A COLD STONE CREAMERY IN THE CASINO!!! Say Hi to Jacob (he's the management guy with the nice suit.) funny and personable.
