"Awesome visit"

Me and my wife stayed here for 2 days and had a good time. The hotel is really nice, the new pool area is one of the best I've ever seen in a hotel. Also have the Rain Forest Cafe and TGI Friday's, we ate at both. Can't forget Starbucks. The staff here are so friendly and helpful, they gave us much information on where to go and what to see, we thank the entire staff for everything. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Your only about a 10 minute walk from the falls. Positive things for the hotel are no resort fees and parking is free. I would almost say this place is more like a resort, then just a hotel. When we return in the future with the grandkids, we will definitely be staying here. Believe me, you will not be disappointed staying at this hotel.

First off, Sheraton is an exceptional chain with the kind of consistency and continuity I look for in a chain. This hotel is no exception; clean, comfortable, attentive staff, & great location. A plus is The Reef indoor swimming pool complete with a large shark tank and marine aquarium (separate.) BUT, there is one aspect of my stay that makes MOST Niagara Falls properties & restaurants most unwelcoming; the added DMF (Destination Marketing Fee.) Despite what some managers insist, the fee is not mandatory. People can opt out of paying it. But they have to see it first, and in Niagara Falls that can prove elusive. It goes by different names depending on the business, and in most cases people aren’t told it’s optional. In my case, I had to beg the desk manager to return the $9.96 DMF I was being charged. Also, Starbuck's, Rainforest Cafe, & TGI Friday's amongst others, charge this non-mandatory fee. The DMF is basically an affront on the consumer brought about by a group of greedy Niagara Falls businessmen. Also, not one single person from the server in Rainforest, to the manager at TGI Fridays, to the desk manager at the Sheraton could tell me what this fee goes toward, nor could they even tell me what DMF stood for. So, be very wary when you book a room at this property or any other Niagara Falls properties or eat in any Niagara Falls restaurants. Taxes and fees add up to nearly 50% of the room rate (see attached photo.) So, my great rate of $71.20 (AAA rate) ended up costing $99.10...DMF-$2.49, facility fee- $14.95, sales tax- $5.70, occupancy tax- $3.56, facility fee tax- $1.20. Total = $99.10. WAKE UP NIAGARA FALLS, NY. The only thing you have to lose are the tourists that you so desperately need to turn around a historically depressed city. You need tourists to spend money in your town, not feel like they're being extorted by some made up fee that has an annual collection of over $15 million. Where does that money go? Sure doesn't look like revitalization.

"Awful honeymoon experience "

We arrived in Niagra for one night for our honeymoon. Staff were friendly and pleasant however the hotel is a bit dated for decor. Room was nice, clean and spacious. Two very small double beds. We reported a very loud intermittent notice coming from the heater/fan at dinner. Staff advised they would see to it. We got back from dinner and the fan continued to turn on every 15mins despite being on "off". We tried to ignore it however the noise was unbearable... At 2:30am I called reception as we could not get to sleep with the noise. It was like a loud Hoover/vacuum starting up every 15 mins. It was the most torturous night of sleep! Reception asked us to plug it out... I said there is no plug... We continued the night with 0 sleep. After complaining politely to reception we got a 35 dollar voucher for breakfast... Too tired to talk about it anymore we accepted and went for breakfast... As we were walking in people were walking out complaining... We waited and ate...It was average over priced ....I feel that we were treated unfairly and pushed away with a meal voucher. Ruined a day of our honeymoon as we are too tired to do anything. Never again.

"Clean and convenient "

Good price ,nice location , Personal of the hotel are super nice Very helpful The only inconvenient there is not way you can see the falls from any place at the hotel 2 blocks from Canadian border nothing better than this

"Excellent hotel at Niagra"

Got a chance to stay at this hotel in Mar 2016. The prices were very low in that season. The reception staff was very helpful. The room was comfortable and it gave the Niagra fall view. The size of the room was very good. The washroom was nice and clean. The rising mist and Canadian side hotel in the background. The room service was also very nice . The room make up was swift. The reception staff could provide you with umbrella for visit to the falls. Overall we had very nice and comfortable stay
