Over Wyndham Philadelphia Historic District

"Perfect hotel for jurors"
Stayed in room 526 for jury duty end of April/start of May. James A. Byrne courthouse is only a short walk away. Samantha made my check in easy, quick, and painless. Jalaese (sp?) made my check out a breeze. All hotel staff were friendly, helpful, answered and addressed any concerns and questions. They really understand the unpredictability of jury duty. Superior Queen room was spacious and clean. Heard no noises from other guests, or machinery. Great pillows, comfortable beds. Slept well every night! Please someone tell me where can I buy the 'firm' version of the Wyndham bed pillows? I want them for our home! Will choose Wyndham Historic District for any overnight Philadelphia stays.
"Wyndham for Business and Leisure"
My company planned and hosted an annual national meeting in Philadelphia this year. We chose the Wyndham Philadelphia Historic District for its proximity to the meeting site and ease of access to after-hours activities and restaurants. Margaret Kelly-Roberts facilitated our hotel block and was our point of contact. In all capacities, her customer service was exemplary. She went above and beyond to ensure that all our attendees were able to make their hotel arrangements on time. She checked in with us at increasing frequency on the days leading up to the conference and ensured that if she was unavailable, we had at least one other point of contact at all times. The hotel stay itself was fantastic, lovely clean rooms, courteous and helpful staff and a great hot breakfast. Walking to restaurants and historic sites was easy, and the hotel is just 2 blocks from the Market Street El. I highly recommend the Wyndham Philadelphia Historic District, both for business and leisure travel.
"Great Location in Historic District"
Excellent accommodations for our family. Great friendly staff and perfect service! We arrived earlier than check in and the front desk staff was very helpful. Room service for a special treat after a busy day had great choices for the children. It was a great place!
"Very nice location. Nice rooms if you are high up. Terrible bar"
Stayed a couple of nights here in April with some friends. We were lucky to get a room high up and our friends a bit lower. Our friends complained about extremely noisy ventilation fans going non stop so they almost couldn't sleep. We were higher up and were lucky to avoid that. Room clean but not new. Messy corridors. Trash bins standing outside our room with old food for 2 days used by people renting rooms for offices. Yack. No one bothered to remove it. Breakfast expensive so we didn't try that. Extremely slow front desk. From check-in, questions during our stay and check-out. How long can things take?? Bar? Nope. We ordered margaritas and that was horrible. First the bar tender lady sighed when I ordered, she clearly didn't want to work and was annoyed customers ordering things. (It's her job to serve bar customers...) She then didn't use real lime in it and 2 no name bottles of liqour for the margarita. It was horrible. I tasted it and left it. I have never ever tried a margarita that bad before. Wouldn't drink it even if someone paid me. All in all, location is great! Clean but a bit outdated room.
"Great location but service could be better"
Stayed at this hotel with a group of adults and high school students. Great location to all of the sites. Large rooms. Breakfast was not included without paying an additional fee so we brought food with us. When we checked in one of the rooms had never been cleaned so the front desk was notified and then we went out to see the sites. When we returned the room was still not cleaned. Still had dirty towels etc on the floor and beds unmade from the last people to stay there. Front desk was notified again and they acted like we had messed the room up. We explained we had just checked in and had not even used the room yet. Then we were told that housekeeping had left for the day so the room would not be cleaned. We were then given another room which was not near our other rooms in our group. Some of the front federal people were a little rude. Others were nice. For the price of the rooms and parking breakfast should be included and staff should be friendlier and more helpful.
