Dallas vormt samen met Fort Worth en Arlington een stedelijke agglomeratie van meer dan 5 miljoen inwoners. De stad is in 1841 gesticht rondom een veerverbinding en was in 1962 wereldnieuws toen president Kennedy hier werd vermoord (het pand van waaruit Lee Harvey Oswald zou hebben geschoten is nu zelfs een museum geworden, het Sixth Floor Museum). Het is vooral een centrum voor telecommunicatie.
"Excellent quality of service and courtesy from the staff every time."
I love this hotel. The quality of service and courtesy from the staff continues to be above all of my expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff showed genuine delight to see us return. Our room was perfect and being a corner room it was quite large with a wonderful view. The pool is a great attraction with a new modern look and spacious design. There is always great music and plenty of towels! Both valet and self parking are very convenient. Overall, our experience was very relaxing and we look forward to our next visit. We highly recommend this hotel!
"Clean, nice, welcoming"
Beautiful hotel in the area. Not exactly downtown but I needed something nice in this area and got a great price. Beautiful and welcoming lobby. Easy check in. No issues. Pool was on the 3rd floor which had a nice view. Valet was $29 overnight or $16 self park.
"Good, Bad and the 'well... overall not so good'"
I've stayed here for work on and off every month for the past 5 months. Here is my overall experience. I obviously travel for work. I've stayed at other hotel places and had significantly better personalized service for Platinum equivalent reward members. An example would be Hyatt which provides excellent service and personalized attention to their reward members. For Hyatt Globalist (equivalent to SPG Platinum) members the managers or other staff members personally contact you before and during your stay to see what they can to do to make your stay more comfortable and above satisfactory. In addition, if they are unable to provide reward benefits such as complimentary suite upgrades due to unavailability they followup during your stay and contact you to let you know one is available and reserved. However, SPG Westin Dallas Park Central has been subpar. The Good: the only Team Member with above standard, excellent service is Sayeed. I has never heard him say no or provide any excuse. When I requested an upgrade to a standard suite he apologized that there were none available but upgraded me to a mini-suite or a corner deluxe room. He even delivered the keys to the upgrade personally. (most team members request you come down the front desk to pick up your new key cards which is understandable, but that extra service is memorable). In addition Ronald Gutierrez team member has provided good service but has poor followup. He has always been pleasant and professional. He has contacted me apologizing for bad experiences and promising to provide VIP service and standard suite upgrades but there has been no follow-up. So his attitude and intentions are good but falls a little short with commitment and follow through. The BAD: team member Jini. Actually she is the best at making excuses and saying no with a great attitude. She is not rude or unpleasant, but she will never provided any VIP service for platinum members. She has missed informed me that internet access was "complimentary" at a daily cost, and that platinum members are eligible for complimentary upgrades to deluxe room or mini suites only and not standard suites. Perhaps she should review the benefits sections of platinum rewards member. Also I requested a quiet room change since the next room quest were loud. But as consistent as she was request denied. Jini has consistent poor service and excuses. The Ugly: I had an unexpected roommate during one of my stays. There was a cockroach (photo proof available) which I reported to front desk. Their solution did not include room change or pest control. They simply offered bonus reward points only. And by the way, I had to dispose of the critter myself. So... well, overall not so good nearly 6 month experience. Fortunately my work has provided new other hotel options for my business trips. I have had good experiences with other SPG hotels but this place has made me start to think that I should consider other options... My travel period: April - August 2017
"Baby shower "
We have stayed at the Weston several times in the past. It's our go to hotel mainly for the fantastic location but also for the great value and cleanliness. This visit on the 11th was the best because of an awesome lady named Diane. I'm 7 months pregnant and drove 4 hours to come to Dallas for my baby shower. After a long drive it was so wonderful to have such a genuinely warm welcome. She helped me with all my needs and went above and beyond to ensure we were well taken care of. She is truly a gem for The Weston to have and I hope to see her here on our many future visits.
"WESTIN COME ALIVE"
I have stayed at the Westin Park Central hotel over the last several years, at least 2 times a year. I must say, the hotel is never a disappointment! From the moment I was greeted at check-in, I always feel at home. The recent renovations of the lobby, the pool area and the hotel rooms, were the icing on the cake. The only reason I am not giving the property a 5, is the restaurant. The restaurant is consist and good, but I would love to have more variety on the menu (I don't eat red meat nor pork) and the breakfast buffet could be improved. I recommend the hotel to anyone who would like a nice hotel, in a convenient location, in Dallas.
