Dallas vormt samen met Fort Worth en Arlington een stedelijke agglomeratie van meer dan 5 miljoen inwoners. De stad is in 1841 gesticht rondom een veerverbinding en was in 1962 wereldnieuws toen president Kennedy hier werd vermoord (het pand van waaruit Lee Harvey Oswald zou hebben geschoten is nu zelfs een museum geworden, het Sixth Floor Museum). Het is vooral een centrum voor telecommunicatie.
"Nice renovations & excellent food!!!"
We went to eat at the restaurant in the newly renovated hotel with friends and was blown away! The cuisine and crafted cocktails were delicious! We started with the fried tempura shrimp and the fine cheese platter. We then had our main dishes- the salmon, red fish platter, and the crab cake sliders. It was all amazing! The bartender was a true mixologist and made the drinks specifically for us. I will definitely be coming back when in town!

I met friends in town at the hotel lobby restaurant, the food was fabulous! We started out with drinks from the nearby lobby bar. The bartender was a true mixologist, he made us craft cocktails and concoctions all evening. He was very friendly and knowledgeable! The restaurant was a real treat. Our party started off with the tempura shrimp and a cheese board. The shrimp was lightly battered and cooked to perfection. The sauce was amazing! The cheese board had just the right mix of artisan cheeses and seasonal figs. Our table had the crab cakes, redfish, salmon and chicken dishes. All we're very tasty and quite delightful. The redfish was the tables favorite with a fried grit cake! We will for sure return when staying in dallas, as this was a great restaurant and not your "typical" hotel food!

I had a wonderful time stay at this hotel. The room was very beautiful and the view was just awesome. I had an awesome time staying there. I really didn't know about this hotel, i was looking for somewhere to spend time with my boyfriend and i ran on this hotel and i decided to drive by and i just loved it. DIANE LAWANI was very wonderful, if going there look for her.
Jeremy, Thank you for your note. I was sorely disappointed in my stay there. There are NUMEROUS deficiencies in the property and the staff. I wasn't given the room I would normally expect. The room I was given was noisy, the toilet didn't work and I had to holler out into the hall to get your staff to quit yelling up and down the hallway while they were working. That was nuts. The room next to me had a big fan blowing on the carpet and your staff kept going in and out of there like it was a construction zone. The maintenance guy came to my room at 10 pm and then again later and I think it was 11:30 pm when he finally left and the toilet "sort of worked". Next morning...didn't work at all...AGAIN. Sadly, I called twice (well before I realized the toilet didn't really work) to speak to a manager. First time I waited an hour or so. Second time, whoever answered the phone I was told they were looking right at the managers and that someone would call me shortly. Nope...didn't happen. No one ever called and I just stewed in my own juices at that point. When I did finally speak to someone the next day, they did move me to a better room but....the dang blind to the window in that new room wouldn't open at all. So, the better view....didn't exist as I couldn't see anything. I'm all about the good view in a hotel and I just didn't get that at all. I'm going to keep going because, I was really, truly disappointed in your hotel. The elevators....suuuuuper slow and many times, you couldn't tell which elevator was actually arriving as there was no light indicating which one was opening up. Super slow and everyone was confused and looking up every time trying to figure out what was going on. The $24.00 breakfast was not good. Not tasty at all and just "blah". I get it that a hotel buffet might not be all that but, when you charge me $24.00, it should be a heckuva lot better than it was. I skipped eating anything else at the hotel after that. The lobby was dang cold...the whole time I was there. There was really an uncomfortable feeling when you arrive or had to get through there. The valet left my perfectly clean car out under the trees so that by morning, it was covered in tree sap and crapola. For $27.00, yeah...not worth it. By the way, the valet guys....slow, didn't care and generally mediocre to poor service there. Each time I'd go to get the car, I would have to look around to find someone and then they were incompetent and couldn't find my car. (It was parked right out in front of them under the trees....I pointed that out and just went and got in the car myself ON TWO DIFFERENT OCCASIONS). One time, the valet just couldn't find the key to my car at all and I'm standing there freezing my rear off when he finally finds it NOT where it was supposed to be but in some other part of the valet stand. When I checked in, there was only ONE person behind the check in counter. Same thing when I had to go ask for help with the new room key. ONE person, so, I got to wait about 5 minutes just to get my key so I could go up to my room and the one person that was there was just slow. There were multiple people waiting. No one ever came out to help. Just hurry up and wait. Completely unacceptable in a hotel that size. I'm telling you this because you implied that my "problem" was resolved. The "resolution" I will apply is that I won't ever stay at that property again and I'll be posting this review. Just a massive fail all the way around. I want my money back.
