"First time in the Big Easy"
It was our first time in New Orleans, we wanted to be close to Bourbon Street but not on. It is placed one block off of Bourbon Street close enough to everything you would want to walk to, but far enough for you get away from the noise. We had a single king, corner court yard. Was probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. The bathroom is small but the glass shower was very nice and great water pressure. The view of the courtyard was nice. The parking is by valet only and has a fee. The staff is always very friendly and the room was clean. The pool is on the roof , nice area but a warmer weather day affair. The workout room is also Up on the Roof area nice workout room. When I checked all the prices it was very comparable to everything else around the area. A very nice hotel, A+.
excellent location, very clean and organized, knowledgeable staff, quality décor, and appearance. The restaurant and lounge provide an in-house alternative to venturing out if that is more important. Service has been very dependable after several stays. There is a comfortable mix of business and vacation patrons. Highly recommended.
"Omni Royal Orleans"
This was our first stay at this hotel, and we were very impressed with everything--location within the French Quarter, superb service from every level of staff, spacious and well-appointed room, quality of food. There was no aspect of our stay that was not perfect, and it was obvious that hotel management stressed friendly helpfulness from the staff. Since the hotel is within the French Quarter, we could walk to the French Market, famous and wonderful restaurants and entertainment venues, the sights and facilities along the Mississippi River, and so much more. This hotel is highly recommended!
"Wonderful pet friendly hotel"
We enjoyed our stay at the Royal Orleans. The hotel was spotless, rooms smelled clean and not due to carpet fresheners etc. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms clean and neat. We had two dogs with us and everyone in the hotel treated them as if they were welcome guests, asking if they could help us in anyway walking them or looking after them. We were very self sufficient but so nice for the staff to offer. We stayed at the hotel for 12 days and our car was in the garage. Every person that we met that worked at the Omni from the garage staff to the front desk, front door etc were kind, cheerful and helpful. We will stay at the Omni Royal Orleans any time that we are in New Orleans.
"Location, charm, and in the heart of the quarter"
This has to be about as perfect a location as you could want in the Quarter. One block from Bourbon Street, so you are far enough away from the nonsense, but it's still right there when you want to dip your foot in (sadly, that's not just a metaphor). It's also right in the best shopping sections on Royal and tributaries, 2 blocks from Jackson Square, TONs of great restaurants all right there, and a great spot to catch any number of street musicians and spontaneous parades. One evening we saw no less than 4 wedding parades pop through. The hotel itself is a gem. The lobby is beautiful, the staff attentive, and the amenities are decent. Rooftop pool, gym, bar, and observation area are all great. Although it was pretty cold while we were there so the bar wasn't open, but the pool was heated to bathwater temps so morning swims were still an option. The rooms are beautiful and well appointed. We had a balcony king room, and it provided the best spots for afternoon happy hour crowd watching before heading out on the town. Although we didn't use the restaurant, the lobby bar attached to it made some great Bloody Mary's and is very comfortable spot to hang for a bit. We've been here before, and we will stay here again.
