"Great Resort Gateway For The Family"
Well me and my family went to Utah for the summer of 2016. It was four of us. So we stayed at the Capitol Reef Resort in Torrey. Best decision ever! Couldn't believe how great this Resort is. Our room was the native styled tiki bedroom that we asked specifically from the resort itself. It was beautiful. There is a pool but I usually go at night cause of the lamps on the railings. It was a nice touch so that's why I went at night. Daytime scenery is the best overall. Capitol Reef Resort is the best and me and my family will be back again on another summer to enjoy this resort.
"Great place to stay!"
This place is wonderful. We stayed in one of the small cabins and had a wonderful night's sleep. It was quiet and so comfortable. They give you plenty of towels and pillows. It was so clean. The views are beautiful. The reading lights above the headboards are perfect. We also had family stay in a regular room and in a larger cabin with a loft. All were clean and comfortable. All had great views of the red cliffs of Capital Reef. This place is very kid friendly, as well. We all loved staying here. The Pioneer Kitchen went above and beyond with great service, good food, and friendly staff. Will definitely stay here again.
"A fantastic spot in the middle of a breathtaking National Park!"
My husband and I just spent some time in Capital Reef National Park and, while driving through Torrey at the end of our day, stumbled upon this wonderful oasis in the middle of nowhere. We just stayed there a few days ago on February 2, 2017, and although the temperatures were in the 20's, the rooms were warm and cozy and recently decorated with a western flare and the décor was lovely and welcoming. The Pioneer Kitchen, although not owned by the hotel, was another wonderful discovery and it is attached to the property. Our waitress, Tiffany, was absolutely charming - greeting customers with a beautiful smile and an outstanding personality. She was the perfect host - always attentive despite the crowd - and it was a pleasure talking with her. While the menu is limited in the winter season, the food was hot and hearty and we greatly appreciated it at the end of our long day. While visiting Torrey, Utah, this is truly the only place to stay, but if staying during the summer or spring, make reservations in advance as a host of activities await the families (wagon trains, horseback riding, Tee pee's) upon their arrival - an unforgettable experience for everyone.
"Definitely Spring for a Cabin"
This is a place to splurge. Spring for a cabin instead of a regular room. The cabin was comfortable, and we had plenty of room to set up our toddler's PeaPod bed. There are shared gas firepits set up on the grounds that are lit by staff at night. Our porch had incredibly comfortable chairs. Chill out with your beverage of choice. Our only complaint was that it was hard to get maid service. They didn't show up until very late in the afternoon when we were back for our toddler's nap. We ate at the restaurant for a few breakfasts and dinners, and the food is decent. It can get really busy with bus traffic. The real draw for us was the night sky. This is close enough to Capitol Reef National Park that you can make a quick trip for night sky viewing or photography.
"Capital Reef Resort was awesome!!!"
What a positive experience! We were upgraded to a private, fairly new cabin. We visited Capital Reef in October, so the nights were chilly. Cabin had efficient heating system, beautiful view from the cabin....looks out at the mountains. Meals were very good and staff friendly and helpful! Highly recommend!
