Over Excalibur Hotel & Casino

Our favorite

I was happy with the hotel. Our room was clean and very quiet. The hotel itself has a nice casino area and many restaurants to choose from. There are many shops for souvenirs or gifts. The bed was very comfortable and I have no complaints at all.

"Excalibur was a gem"

I am probably the most anal person you will ever meet and after reading mixed reviews, I was a little skeptical about staying here. I got a sweet deal on a king room in the royal tower cyber Monday, so I decided to bring my partner here for her dirty 30! I would definitely visit this hotel again if the price was right. Upon arrival the lines were not long to check in, and the associate that helped me was phenomenal! I stayed in the royal tower room 24106, and although everything seemed dated and the white couch was super dirty, the bed was super comfy, the floors were clean and the bathroom was decent. The casino was LIT! I didn’t win, but they kept the drinks coming. The food choices in this resort is trash and the really strong smell on the casino floor. The smell is so bad that you know when you are at Excalibur..none of the other resorts have such a strong smell..thanks Excalibur for a grand time!

"You get what you pay for"

We spent here Christmas 2016 with my friend. For me as a budget traveler it's a hella luxury. Room was big clean, we loved our room so much we didn't even go out one day and just stayed in. Obviously, you get what you pay for. The hotel is a little bit further from the strip so it's kinda walk to get to the other casinos. The casino, furniture and overall everything is worn down and you can tell it's been around for a while and its years have been served. If you happen to visit different casinos (and you should) you will see the difference. Excalibur is not so glamorous and eccentric like the others but hey I was always admiring this hotel in GTA so my dream came true. The only thing I did not enjoy was the hike from a car park to our room, it's like a maze and we got lost so many times but I guess it's normal in such an enormous hotel. The staff at the front desk is very helpful. We had a good time.

"They should renovate the place"

This hotel needs a major renovation ASAP. We booked this hotel through Trivago and thought that we had a good deal because it wasn't as expensive as the other hotels on the strip. But when we arrived and checked in we realized that we should have just added a few more to our hotel budget and got a newer looking hotel. I am not exaggerating when I say that you would really get a little sad about your accommodations when you visit the other hotels on the strip. Excalibur seems to be the least beautiful hotel on the strip. The decor of the lobby and gaming areas is so outdated. I mean, medieval times theme, yeah, but this looks like it was recreated decades ago. It looks old. Plus, the place smelled old. We got a room at the Tower side, and I don't know how the Resort side looks like but the hallway going to the elevators at the Tower side looks like you're going inside a dorm or something, and not a hotel. The room was ok and clean but really outdated. There were also not much to see in this hotel except for a food court on the second floor, a Bucca de Beppo restaurant and a club where Australian male strippers do a show. Next time I'd at least go for Treasure Island.

"worst on the strip"

The buffet was just BAD. some of the food was cold, some of the food was old, but none of the food was good. The front desk people are just rude. After we paid $10 to park overnight, the machine would not allow us to leave this morning when it was time to catch our flight home. We had to go back into the hotel to get our room key reprogrammed. That came with a lecture on what not to do when using your room key to exit the parking area, but still no help. Other people had the same problem, so it quickly became clear that the access gate controls were broken. but still no help from the pompous jerk (goes by the name "Seth") at the front desk and his so-called manager. I won't confess to what we had to do to avoid missing our flight, but if we had to rely on the hotel staff, we would still be sitting in the parking lot. Don't stay at Excalibur unless you are on tight budget, don't care what the food tastes like, don't might being abused, don't mind being held captive in the parking lot, and don't care whether you miss your flight home. Otherwise, it was ok. In my next review, I'll tell you about the awful Australian Bee Gees show. Arrrgh!
