"Beautiful views but dull room"

My husband and I stayed here for two nights on our tour of the Canyonlands. The view from the restaurant was wonderful. The restaurant seating arrangement meant that everyone had a good view. The food was good including the breakfast. We also went to the small diner which served us a good pizza. The tours from the place were good, we went on a boat trip and an early morning trip to Antelope Canyon which was one of the most memorable trips of our tour. However, the room was very dull. To me the decor was horrible and the beaten copper wash basin looked dirty ( I dont think it was, it just looked horrible together with the black tap!) The corridor area outside the room smelt musty and again the decor was unpleasant. It is a shame as the position of this property is outstanding and with some updating it could be a wonderful place.

"No competition leads to a POOR experience here"

We were really excited to splurge $200+ on a room during our three-week road trip through the Southwest. After doing a lot of camping, we were looking forward to a nice resort stay. Instead, we wished we had booked a campsite at the neighboring campground, or continued to camp for free on BLM land. This place is a joke. It's severely outdated and the staff is completely inadequate. There were only two accessible outlets in our entire room, none of which were near the desk, which makes zero sense to me. The USB chargers in the alarm clock did not work. The binder with information about the resort was stuck in the desk drawer, and when we called to receive a new one, they were not apologetic. We also had to wait quite a while to receive a new one. We wanted to view the menus for the various restaurants, as we were starving. Of course, the binder doesn't have the menus. So we walked to Latitude 37 only to find out it is closed for the season. They don't mention that when you check in at all, and they give you a map of the property that includes that restaurant on it, without information that it closes during the off-season. When we went to Driftwood, we were served drinks in dirty glasses that had lip marks of previous guests. It was disgusting. Back to our room, we had to physically move the dresser to access additional outlets, and the extension cord was COVERED in dust and sticky stuff. I suspect this is also a safety hazard. One of the lamps didn't work in our room either. This place is a dump, but it's the only place on the lake so I guess they don't have any competition to make them provide an adequate guest experience. Stay elsewhere if you can.

"Extremely Crowded, Meals Poorly Organized, Great Location for the Rainbow Bridge Boat Trip."

We spent one night at Lake Powell Resort in October 2017. If there is one good thing about it, I would say it is the location for the Boat trip to the iconic Rainbow Bridge. You cannot beat it because the boat departs from their dock. Also, our room was of decent size even though rooms are in bad need of upgrading. However, there are issues you would do well to be aware of. First of all, good as the views are the territory of the resort is drab and uninteresting and there are lots of buses always passing everywhere unloading dozens of people right on the resort grounds. There are crowds of people everywhere. We tried to have dinner at 6:30PM and were told the only available tables were at 9!!! The next morning we wanted to have breakfast before the boat trip which starts at 7:30 am. Imagine my surprise when I came to the canteen and saw about 50 people at 5:45am lining up for breakfast which starts at 6am. Some of them came as early as 5:30am to get some breakfast. Never have I seen meals so poor;y organized. One other thing, even paying a lot for a room you will still have to pay $20 for the national park pass. You would do much better if you find an hotel in nearby Page, 10 minutes from the resort and just make that 10 minute drive to the resort dock if you want to go on that boat trip, which, by the way, is awesome and highly recommended.

The rooms are all clean and beautiful. Large, spacious rooms with great amenities. We had to walk a little bit to the lodge, but if we hadn't we not of seen all the bunny rabbits feeding on the green grass patches. There are pools to enjoy during the day and outdoor fire pits for evening get togethers to unwind. Good breakfast buffet. Grounds are beautiful. Right on the lake. Be sure to take the cruise on the lake in the afternoon, it is well worth seeing.

"A nice stay"

We recently went to Lake Powell for a couple of days and stayed at the resort. A combination of good and bad. On the plus side, a very comfortable bed and pillows, and certainly convenient, with lots of parking. We stayed in a junior suite. The sleeping area was fine, but the other room was fairly ill lit -- like they had used only 20 watt light bulbs. Very difficult to sit and read. Food in the restaurants was so-so and pricey. After the first night, we decided to drive into Page for our dinners. The breakfast buffet was good, but pricey at $16. The resort was quite crowded, perhaps due to it's being the end of season. Room was impeccably clean and the staff was helpful. On balance, we would stay there again.
