"Excellent customer service!"
Not only did the staff get us into our room way earlier than the check-in time but I had casually mentioned that it was my bday and that my friend and I were on our way to Puerto Vallarta for a vacation and the next thing we know there is a knock on the door of our room and here was a staff member with a box of chocolates and a card and he was like "Happy Bday". The card was signed by a bunch of staff and they had also included a personal note and a print out of the 14-day weather forecast for Puerto Vallarta. So sweet of them to do that for me, they didn't even know me and it's not like I am a very frequent customer. Love this place!
"It was awesome!"
I really liked this hotel for our stay. The area is not that great for food but the hotel restaurant makes up for it! It has a great atmosphere, good beer and cocktails! The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. The hotel looks a bit dated from outside but I'm very picky and used to expensive 4-5 star hotels. This hotel (epsecially considering that we got it very cheap on priceline) met my standards completely. I would definitely stay here again. The staff at the front desk were very helpful.
"Good rooms for day stay on long layover"
We stayed here recently in a day room during a long layover we had before flying out from Vancouver Airport. The staff were friendly and the concierge, Arif, was very helpful. The rooms are reasonable and suitable for a day stay and the staff provided us everything we needed to unwind and prepare for our next onward flight. The free shuttle to and from the airport is also a great assistance.
"Great for personal and business!"
I stayed at the Pacific Gateway several times for work. We had several rooms and meeting space booked for our stays. From the time I spent booking all of our accommodations and business needs to spending time at the hotel everything went off without a hitch. Bookings Since I was booking larger parties with several rooms and meeting space I worked with the catering and sales departments to get all the details. Everything went to plan! Special thanks to Pam for all the support! Arrival/Check-in If you're landing at the airport there is a shuttle to the hotel which comes every few minutes and takes you directly there. It's consistently running at all times which is perfect as the subway/train into downtown Vancouver run from the airport. If you want to head downtown just grab the shuttle back to the airport and you get dropped right at the station at the same time! As you arrive, you're welcomed into an open and modern lobby. Check-in with the front desk was seamless, quick and easy. Rooms The rooms seem updated with a large comfy king sized bed, modern washrooms and great views of the Fraser river (if you face that way). The rooms come with most amenities, however, I do wish it had a safe. Food/Resturants There's not much in the area to eat so you're limited to what's at the hotel. For breakfast, there's a restaurant offering either buffet or menu-ordered dishes. Great selection and amazing staff. There's also Pier 73 for lunch/dinner which has a limited menu but again, great staff! Overall, this is a great hotel and I would definitely be staying again.
"2 Night Stay at Pacific Gateway"
I had an OK stay at Pacific Gateway. The lobby areas are well done . The bathroom in the room is renovated and quite nice . The bed is comfortable. The rest of the room furniture and TV is from the old Delta which this was . The desk chair looked like it came from a Recycling Centre with many rips and tears. I was travelling with a business associate who was in room next door and His was the same. The staff is very friendly . The Airport Shuttle is handy . I like Pier 73 Restaurant which has good food and a selection of beers. It sits by a Marina. The Hotel has good views along the River . I would stay here again but the Hotel Room is just average .
