"One of the best hotels in the world."
It's always a delightful treat to stay here and I'll always try a way to find a reason to stay here. The rooms are impressive as are the rest of the amenities from the top class restaurants and bars and the bell cafe makes the best coffee in Vancouver
"Absolutely amazing "
Love, love, love the Rosewood in Vancouver!!! Beautiful hotel, great interior design, spacious, clean, gorgeous rooms, friendly staff, beautiful pool. The restaurant is very nice as well. Will definitely return to this property!!
"Personal and Prompt"
The service at the Hotel Georgia is warm, personal and fast. The staff knew me by name and always remembered the things I appreciated. I needed some things from the pharmacy and they were easy to work with and fast.
My husband surprised me with a weekend at the Rosewood for our anniversary. It was first class in every way. The staff was friendly and professional and the hotel is beautiful. Our room was so comfortable and the bathroom was perfection. Bath gel and salts were provided for a luxurious soak. We appreciated the amenities that were available like great coffee and tea, bottles of water, newspaper in the morning. We were also given a lovely piece of chocolate cake and cards for a free cocktail in the lounge. Hope this is an annual event!
"Class and elegance in Vancouver"
The Rosewood was pretty much everything we expected from a luxury hotel in Vancouver. The lobby was fabulous, with a spectacular chandelier and a nice blend of leftover 1920's elegance and modern design. Front desk service was very friendly and cheerful, I unfortunately forget the gentleman's name, but he was very nice. Concierge was equally nice and helpful. The room itself was well laid out and comfortable, only minor complaint: the bed was slightly too soft, but as complaints go it could be so much worse. The bathroom was a standout feature with a luxurious deep soaking tub and separate shower with very modern design and a sort of waterfall shower head which was interesting. The room had all the usual amenities including bath products, coffee and tea available, etc. One more minor complaint: there was an odd sort of knocking sound that happened, at first I thought it was distant construction but there was a consistent succession of 3 knocks in the same tempo and then a pause, then it would happen a while later. It didn't keep me from sleeping and I'm pretty sensitive to sound so not really a problem, but if you're a super light sleeper you may need earplugs. Other than that the room was perfect, a nice space to hang out in when not exploring the city. As I said the room was well laid out, if you've been to a lot of hotels you know layout can be important, you want to be able to store your gear and still move about freely especially if you're traveling as a couple, some thought went into the layout of the room and it worked quite well. Location of hotel was very good for our purposes, extremely close to the Vancouver Art Gallery for the Takashi Murakami show. We also walked to Gastown, Davie Village and Sunset Beach Park easily from the hotel. One standout aspect of our stay I think we'll remember for a long time was the 1927 Lobby Lounge, a space filled with class, high-backed chairs and myriad pictures on the walls. We ended up hanging out here twice, as an aside we had wanted to go to Prohibition, in fact it was one of the reasons we chose the Rosewood from among several promising candidates, but Prohibition is only open Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays apparently, something to be aware of. In any case, the 1927 Lounge was a memorable and classy experience, that had a lot to do with a gentleman named Ian, a particularly delightful and skilled server who knows how to combine professionalism with friendly, natural charm. We very much enjoyed talking to him, my wife and I are veterans of the food/hospitality industry having experienced it on both sides of the fence, so we recognize top notch service when we see it, but it wasn't just the professionalism, Ian just seemed genuinely nice, thanks Ian! In addition to the stellar service (the bartender also came over to serve and talk to us, also a very nice gentleman) they had a pretty good whisky selection (Laphroiag quarter cask, yay) some wonderful cocktails, and a delicious polenta dish among other things. Overall our stay at the Rosewood was classy, comfortable, elegant and enjoyable and we would definitely stay there again, our thanks to the staff for making it even better than we expected!
