"A slice of Heaven!"
I have stayed at the Water's Edge a number of times and this past summer was one of the best stays I had. The staff went out of their way to make sure my accommodations where suitable. The place is always immaculate and the rooms are always looked after in a first class way. The view is indescribable. Also so quiet and peaceful after dark. The location is ideal to take in the beauty of the Cape. Also they provide excellent advice for first time visitors. Are so so accommodating and no question asked is a foolish one. They answer all in a respectable professional manner. The owner and staff are available for you to talk with and visit in their special breakfast nook. The breakfasts they serve are really out of this world. As close as a fully home cooked meal as you can get. I always love the friendly service I get and this year was maybe the most exceptional I have ever experienced. Friendly and so interested in getting to know who people are and where they are from. Like Family! You are part of their family after you stay there. The gift shop is very unique. Featuring local artists and also ones I have come to know. I have usually made some smaller purchases in the past but this year went up several notches. Lol. yes I love some of the pictures they had. Another item that has caught my eye.Is their card selections. Very special pictures on them of local surroundings. So I would absolutely recommend this place. Is my number one place to stay when visiting the Cape. Is truly a small corner of Paradise!
"Canada Day Perfect!"
The Inn is this 150 year old building that has been completely restored and has an amazing view of the lighthouse. The small beach is private and the ambiance is perfect. I watched the Canada Day Parade with the volunteer fire department crew, the kids dancing and twirling, Canadian girls with their crossbows in perfect step, the decorated trucks, clowns, decorated dogs and yes, Veterans proudly in a row. It was a red and white glorious, happy and uplifting time. The food by the way was prepared by several fund raising groups and it was the best part. Would not have missed it for anything!
"2 Nights in Baddeck"
The Inn is located right on the water in Baddeck and is a great starting point for the Cabot Trail. The rooms were comfortable, our host was most informative on things to do and see, and an ample breakfast was served. The sunrise views were spectacular each day! A nice addition is the attached art gallery that showcases local artists.
"Outstanding from most perspectives"
Location is excellent; rooms are spacious, well appointed and comfortable beds. Staff are friendly, accommodating and competent. Owner is onsite most of the time and very helpful. Gary the resident artist is willing to share stories and pour coffee. Excellent place to stay. Rooms are on the 2nd floor and waterfront rooms have balconies. Parking is gravel so luggage has to be carried.
"Clean, comfy and cozy"
We stayed in room 2. Lovely balcony, which we did not get to enjoy due to the weather. However, the view was still gorgeous. Both the room and the bathroom were a good size. The breakfast was limited which was expected. Wifi was not good. Would absolutely stay here again.
