"House with a Spectacular View"

My sister and I just returned from our vacation to Newfoundland where we rented a house through Neddies Harbour Inn. We stayed at Monty's Seascape House which was right next to the inn. The house was beautiful, but nothing could compete with the view from the rooms. We were directly across from the Tablelands and could watch the activity right up the arm of Bonne Bay. The view took our breath away. We never tired of sitting out back in our deck chairs watching the colors of the water change. I would only make two suggestions that could have improved our stay. My sister is handicapped and the bathtub was very slippery. Handrails and nonstick surfaces would have been very helpful. Another thing that concerned me occurred at the on-site restaurant. It, too, was lovely and served very well-prepared food. My issue was that although tables near the window were available, my sister and I were seated away from the window in the area where the servers worked. I also noticed that on the other side of the restaurant, the same thing was done to two other women. Although tables by the window was available the entire time of our meal, the women were sitting in the back. I would encourage the woman who seats guests give the best available table at the time of arrival. The young women who served our table were delightful and efficient, but the older woman who seated us might want to rethink how she seats her customers. We did not make a big deal of our situation since we had such wonderful views in our house, but it is something that might be reconsidered.

"Amazing location and place to stay"

We rented their cottage, Zmonty's Shorescape. The location and view were second to none. Close to amazing restaurant at the Inn, Black Spruce, and close to great spots in Rocky Harbour. Great space for a family. Loved it.

"Gorgeous view!"

Neddie's Harbour Inn is a gorgeous place to stay. We highly recommend getting a glass of wine and sitting on the porch, which overlooks the harbour and mountains. The staff was also great. Annette was very welcoming and provided us with information on where to eat and enjoy some classic Newfoundland entertainment. The breakfast was delicious. We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the Gros Morne area.

"Hidden Gem"

Neddies Harbour Inn was our base for most of our exploration of Gros Morne National Park and our last stop on our trans Newfoundland trip. We arrived after the 5+ hour drive from Twillingtate and had no problems finding the inn thanks to the GPS. If you are not using a GPS it may help to print out a local map of Norris Point to assist getting from the 430 highway to the inn. The location is beautiful: situated right on the water in a secluded residential area - very quiet and peaceful. There's a large stoned car park just west of the Inn - unfortunately no access to any outlets for a plug-in vehicle. We were warmly greeted upon check-in and spent some time getting acquainted. Our room was very large and spacious - as was the bathroom. Down the hall was a large rec room / common area overlooking the harbour ... and an outside deck and access for warmer weather. I love the warm Scandinavian wood and colors. The entire property was spotless and well cared for. Breakfast is served in the restaurant which has nice views to the east and west. Every morning there was something different. Dinner is upscale and nice but also expensive. They have probably the best laundry scheme I've ever encountered: they give you a laundry basket and there is a fixed price per load - which is less than what it would cost to send out two pair of jeans in a hotel. The staff does the laundry on-site ... and will return it to your room - including hanging up shirts, etc. Kudos - really nice touch. Since we opted (with their recommendation) against trying to make a day trip to L'Anse aux Meadows (due to the distance) we'll definitely be back as this would make a great overnight point for any journey to the north and beyond.

Beautiful inn, right on the water. We were there early October this year which meant the season was just about done! Restaurant was open only 1 of the 3 nights we were there, but well worth the trip upstairs. Very nice, well prepared and presented food. Would definitely stay here again. If their restaurant is closed, try the Fishermans Landing in Rocky Harbour!!! Excellent local fare.
