"Nice Hotel, Perfect Location"
I'm a long time Marriott/Delta member and this was my first time staying at this hotel. Covered parking and check-in were seamless, the room was very clean and in great working condition and the bed was very (very!) comfortable. Breakfast room service in the morning was on-time and the food was good. The location of this waterfront hotel is absolutely perfect and the view from the room was quite nice. If you haven't been to Kingston, this is a fantastic hotel to stay in! Couldn't be closer to all the amazing restaurants, etc.
"Rooms with amazing water front view"
First time I stayed at Delta by Marriott. Hotel is very well located. From your room one could see sunrise. The hotel rooms are comfortable, though I found thr bed little too soft. The service was impeccable. Had taken the bed and breakfast deal, I would suggest not to take the breakfast deal as they have fixed menu to choose from, no buffet. Location is perfect for strolling around with lot of ethnic restaurants and stores. All these pictures taken from my room.
"Stinky, Dusty, low quality service - "
This hotel doesn’t add up to the rest of the Marriott chain. The hallway on the 4th floor smelled so bad of body order that the only way to cope was to not inhale through my nose. The stench was nearly unbearable. Then the heater/fan had this noise coming from it that was loud and caused some issues with the sleep I had, in addition to the noisy group that they had staying. Oh and I can’t forget the fact that I sat in the restaurant for 20 minutes waiting for someone to take my food order. So I left and went elsewhere for dinner. The bathroom was dusty - easy to tell that the upkeep is bare bones and zero attention to detail. The final straw was realizing that the toilet paper and Kleenex were at the bottom, so thankfully I checked out before needing to use more or to ask. No thought seems to go into the guest experience, and especially for $300 I was ripped off indeed. I should have stayed at the Marriott down the street. Lesson learned for next trip to Kingston
"Decent With Marriott Overtones"
I cannot relate entirely to the content of previous reviews but I will concede that this was an expensive hotel with very beautiful views. It appeared to me that parking was adequate as far as number of spaces but it is a bit cramped for your typical North American planet-killer. As far as parking charges, well they are everywhere now and they are just one giant money-making scheme with the charges in most places out of all proportion to the benefit. Our room was very nice in many ways but we were, on the night of our stay, facing into a storm and it was very noisy indeed. Reception is far too small. The heating did not appear to reach into the bathroom at all which was unfortunate on a cold November night and morning. In a wider context, adverse comments about the Marriott group are, I would say, increasingly justified as prices are rarely enticing.
"Can't Understand Why Guests Pay for Parking?"
Hotel was ok not anything overly special, but after paying top dollar for two nights one gets dinged for $10 per day to park your car...I guess the next time I should walk to Kingston to avoid a charge for the very obvious.... It is a Marriot which explains a lot, the nickel and dime hotel chain that takes much more than it gives sadly. However I must admit that the staff were great to the extent that they were helpful, they didn't go above and beyond to assist the group we were with, very sadly.
