"Could Be Better"
This is the second time that I've stayed. Previous time with my wife. Highly recommend suite as the other rooms seem small . Suite wasn't available on this stay. Many positives to staying here but a couple of gripes. Rooms, while well-appointed, need some updating. TV stand/console marked up. Doors marked up at the bottom. I wouldn't say there was an odour to the room but it didn't smell fresh. Perhaps it's due to being on the water. Lobby floor, mats didn't look clean. On this stay found front desk staff during the day to be stiff and indifferent. Not horrible but just not to the same standard as my previous visit. Very convenient covered parking with easy access to front desk and hotel.
"Nice Place to Stay, but not park"
Clean hotel, great staff, nice view of the lake. The hot tub wasn't working, but the most irritating item was they charge $18 to park in their garage, which is not kind to larger vehicles. Room service was prompt and friendly. Walking distance to many amazing restaurants and shops!
"Did someone say Hockey?"
This Delta Hotel, in the Marriott Chain, is in a beautiful location, overlooking Lake Ontario, and in the heart of downtown Kingston. The staff was welcoming upon check-in, although our check-in was interrupted a few times by phone calls which apparently could not be put on hold. As we made our way to our room, we noticed that there were many children and parents hanging out in the halls socializing and generally making noise by running up and down the halls constantly. A call to the desk told us that there was a hockey tournament in town, and that the hotel was filled with junior hockey players. To be fair, an alternate room on another floor was offered, but the hockey families and therefore the noise, was spread evenly throughout the whole place. The room was small but clean, and the bathroom, also clean. All in all, except for the running and party in the halls until 11pm, it was an OK place to stay.
"Short Stay by Lake Ontario"
We stayed 2 nights at the Marriott Kingston Waterfront in February of 2017. If you are looking for good hotel with a great central location, then this is the place to stay. It is an older hotel that has had recent renovation. The rooms are comfortable and were more than adequite for a short stay. The restaurant on the 1st floor is amazing, great view and spectacular food. The hotels locations is perfect as you can walk everywhere within the central area of Kingston. We did not use the pool facility during our stay but it was located in the upper floor so I am sure it was very nice.
"Sailing at Olympic venue"
We were sailing from the Olympic venue in Kingston for the national 29 er fleet. The hotel was conveniently located within a short drive of the club. The walking trail meeting out very easy and accessible. The rooms were clean and the value was reasonable
