I would give this hotel a 3.5. First off, staff and service while at the hotel was spectacular (before we arrived was another matter). We used the shuttle service a few times and drivers (esp Frank) were excellent. It is a nice inclusion. The hotel itself at first glance is beautiful. It smelled musty in the hallways, at least on our floor. We were disappointed by the room (we paid for a premium room). The fireplace didn't work (one of the main features of the premium, aside from the soaker tub). We didn't discover until late in the evening (almost midnight) and at that point weren't keen on moving rooms or having a service visit. Our view was of a rooftop and parking lot. I've stayed at many other hotels that were half the price, but much better experience, so I don't think I would return. It was very quiet - we never saw or heard another person on our floor. We went to the Bacchus Lounge but it was empty on a Saturday night; otherwise we didn't dine at the hotel. Plentiful parking onsite.
"Anniversary Escape was Captivating"
My wife and I reserved a room with the Rekindle Romance package. We loved the suite, and the special touches (champagne, chocolate-tipped strawberries, roses). We also found the dining room to be excellent - menu and staff. In particular, Sarah at breakfast and Rose at our special dinner deserve to be commended for their friendly attention. Francesca took good care of us in the pub and dining room. We booked the Wine Trolley tour, and hostess Margaret was a wealth of information and humour! We took advantage of the opportunity for a couple's massage at a sister hotel, and appreciated the service there, and the shuttle to the site. We have visited many times, but this longer stay allowed us to fully appreciate this hotel. Highest commendation and recommendation!
Had a lovely evening at the Queen's Landing. Lucked out with the reservation on Hotwire.com and stayed Saturday to Sunday. The hotel is just lovely. The room was beautiful. Very comfy bed. Our view was not the greatest and the cooling unit was very noisy. The only thing stopping me from giving it 5 rating was the mold in the bathroom. The shower and shower curtain had mold on it. Very unsightly for a hotel of this caliber.
"Excellent Banquet Experience"
Our organization booked a banquet at Queen's Landing, and had an absolutely amazing experience. Great food, great staff and a great venue. We worked with Angie Burnett to book everything, and she did a fantastic job and exceeded our expectations. The Banquet Team - Josh Rempel, Paula McNeill and Brandon Beattie, were all lovely and provided us with excellent service. We would recommend this venue to anyone!
"Beautiful, Romantic and Historic"
We were lucky enough to get a couple rooms at the last minute here over the weekend! We golfed on Friday afternoon, then had a lovely dinner on the patio at Treadwells and then after a great night sleep we golfed another 9 holes before heading out to a wedding in a beautiful vineyard!! The shuttle service was great, the service was spot on, the rooms were clean and recently renovated and the beds had beautiful new linens. Our one and only small complaint was the sound of the washing machine spinning like a freight train all night long....apparently we weren't the only ones who heard it. We stayed in room 272 & 280 and we both heard the laundry!! Breakfast was included with our stay and 100% worth it!! Fantastic breakfast both mornings with an amazing buffet or a la carte choices!! I absolutely loved the French toast with jam compote!! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a romantic weekend in Niagara on the Lake!!
