De wereldberoemde Niagara Falls komen in bijna elke reis naar het oosten van Canada voor. Het woeste watergeweld dat u van heel dichtbij kunt zien vanaf de 'Maid of the Mist' is dan ook spectaculair. De watervallen worden gevormd door de Niagara rivier, die tussen Lake Erie naar het lager gelegen Lake Ontario stroomt. Ze bestaan uit de American en de Horseshoe Falls, de laatste zijn het grootst en liggen aan de Canadese kant.
"Phenomenal Sunday Brunch"
Had their Sunday Brunch and it was just fantastic. I wish I had a larger stomach to eat more. From their antipasti to their desserts, there were so many choices. As a vegetarian, I had a wide variety of selection and just loved it all. I have a huge sweet tooth, so their desserts really hit the spot. I would go bac in a heatbeat.
"Clean, spacious suite!"
We have stayed at this hotel twice - the first time we got engaged here and the second we celebrated that engagement 2 years later. We tried to get the same suite we had, but they were under construction - so they will probably be even better. The service was great. We only stayed for one night both times. We did a dinner package both times as well. Although we couldn't explore the grounds as much since it was March, the place is beautiful. Although WiFi and parking appear to be free - there is a resort fee that covers these services. The fee is minimal compared to city hotels though!
We have stayed at the Queens Landing before and went back on a Winter Escape Package to celebrate a significant date. The first room we were given was next to the elevators, the fireplace did not work, the bathroom fan had a loud hum which could be heard all over the room (no switch to turn it off) AND a large portion of the ceiling was cracked and falling down. NOT WHAT WE EXPECTED from a hotel of this quality. Without any hesitation our room was changed. The new room was adequate and the bed and pillow were good but: -paint on the bathroom ceiling was peeling and flaking off -there were only 2 night table lamps and the room was dark -when in the shower the water temperature changed -the refrigerator had not been defrosted in many months as there was significant ice build up -the Turn-down service consisted of a rose placed on the bed and left dirty wine glasses to be cleaned the next morning -the make-up mirror in the bathroom is broken and could not face anyway but down I need a separate paragraph to describe the TV service. All of the lower numbered channels were fuzzy (channels 3 to about 23) the upper channels (24 to 50) were clear. All of the programs on channels 50 to 100 were unavailable (basic cable from COGECO was the only service). Watching a fuzzy hockey game was not the most enjoyable. The front desk were aware of this and it is like that throughout the hotel. The Dining room was excellent. The menu selection that came with the Winter Escape package was great and the service by Shelley and Jill was excellent. This was not what we expected from this hotel and were disappointed since our previous stays had been excellent. I tried to give the front desk a list of deficiencies but gave up when the person seemed bored in documenting my concerns. The $15 Resort charge is a rip off. PLUS Items: -free wifi -free parking -close to downtown
"Long weekend escape"
We booked into the Queens landing for the family day long weekend. Here we go: Check in - Efficient and pleasant - filled us in on where we go for breakfast, where the pool was etc. Parking - good, and plenty of it. Room - We were booked in to the dock master house, which is located outside the hotel behind in facing the marina. This is an old house made into two suites. Ours had a sitting room, bedroom with king bed and a bath with shower, jet tub and single sink. As this is an old house, it was awkward, not necessarily bad, just the flow was awkward. The king bed barely fit in the room, no closet, as no real room, an armoir which was sort of in the hall in the bedroom between the living room and the bathroom. Creaky old floor, gas fireplace in the living room. Did not like that the windows do not open - they are nailed shut. The living room felt cluttered. The bathroom was renovated but the plumbing was what you expect in an old house, not great. Cleanliness - hmmm, some of it was good, shower and tub clean, bedroom clean. However the exhaust vent in the bathroom, vents for the heating and window sills were filthy. Left a note for the cleaning staff and they did clean it, but it was obvious it had not been cleaned in a very long time. Restaurant - we ate at Tiara's for breakfast each morning as it was part of our package. Service was not great the first morning - waiter kept forgetting to bring us stuff, and seemed uninterested in serving anyone. The second day was much better. Breakfast was good, and the dining room has a lovely view. I would go back, but i would not stay in the dock masters house. if you are really into old houses and want to be removed from the main hotel, it is great, but i prefer to be in the main building so we could use the pool etc. I was not about to hike up to the hotel to use the amenities such as the pool and bar. If we were in the main building i would have used both. The patio they have for summer looks really nice, so would like to try that. As a side note, you will be charged a resort fee which is not included in your room rate and is mandatory. When questioned, this is for wifi and the pool. Why they don't just include it in the room rate is beyond me, seem like an additional mandatory cash grab for no reason.

Excellent experience. We went for dinner before going to the theater and asked to come back for dessert after. Everything was perfect. The waiter was very accommodating and we had a wonderful evening. Thank you!
