"Good location and service"
The location of this hotel is really good, 5 min walk to old city walls. The hotel is very clean with friendly staff, very comfortable bed, nice furnitures, modern decor, coffee machine in room, breakfast at extra cost. Charges $20.00for parking. There are a lot of restaurants around. I will check-in this hotel again.
This hotel is amazing, it's location is pretty awesome. If you are traveling during Quebec city's winter carnaval you can see the attractions from some rooms. You can also walk to the "plaines d'Abraham" and their museum. Close to cute restaurants (some are vegan friendly!) and shopping places. It's also super clean and has a pool, outdoor spas and a sauna. Lovely!
"The hotel that saved Christmas!"
We were a group of 12 travelling from Australia to Canada for a White Christmas. Three of us were being more budget conscious and had booked an AirBnb for the Quebec/Christmas portion. But when our host cancelled just three days before we were due to arrive, it was a mad scramble to make sure we had somewhere to spend Christmas. Enter the Hotel Chateau Laurier. We were slightly concerned that it had availability so close to Christmas, but we now know this was just our great good fortune! Just a five minutes walk to the walls of Old Quebec, the Laurier is a great location in winter or summer. Everything is accessible on foot - we found a couple of laundrettes, supermarkets etc nearby, and your just five mins away from all the heritage of Old Quebec. The hotel looks fantastic and the rooms are surprisingly modern and large. There is a restaurant on site for a buffet breakfast ($15 CDN) and there is a Huberts Chicken restaurant on site for lunch and dinner if you can face the snow. We had five nights here and it was fantastic. There's even a couple of hot tubs on the roof which we got to use during a snow fall. The concierge staff were really helpful when we had to work out how to get to a dog sledding park on Boxing Day. The front desk a little less so when we asked for a taxi to be pre-booked for a super early flight (they didn't do it, thank god for Uber). Would absolutely stay here again and have no issue recommending. It's great value for money.
"Fantastic Location for Winter Carnival"
My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights during Winter Carnival. It is located across from Parliament and the park which is the site of the Winter Carnival. The hotel is also a great location for exploring downtown Quebec and the old city. The room was small but well appointed. We traveling with 3 other couples and all had great experiences. The reception staff was very attentive and helpful. The concierge provide several suggestion which really enhanced our stay. It snowed quite a bit during our stay but the staff kept the lobby clear and dry. We used the valet parking, which was included in our hotel package. I think that if you are not on the package plan, it would be worth the $20 a day fee. We were on a meal plan which included breakfast and dinner. I was not impressed with St-Hubert, the hotel’s restaurant where we had vouchers for breakfast. Choices at this buffet were limited and not very warm. On the last morning we ate at another restaurant which was much better. We plan on returning this summer to see the city during another season.
"One Fabulous Hotel and Location"
The Hotel, and the Staff were fantastic, as well as the people of this great city!!! Being my first time to Quebec City, and not speaking french, I was greeted with open arms all around, 5 *****'s. This is one lovely place in Canada. Quebec Winter Carnival was on, which even made it more memorable. The parks are across the street for avid cross country skiers, or walks. Many, many things to see in a short walking distance. Only one issue, is to the couple who had their wedding ceremony in the lobby, last weekend...Shame on you, for such a terrible write up. If you wanted a quiet ceremony, you should have picked a quieter location, not a hotel lobby, where there is noise, cool air from the continuous opening of doors with people coming and going! How do you section off a lobby where people are using the facilities. This is winter in Quebec, and the WINTER CARNIVAL was on, what did you expect!!!
