I was expecting a 4 to 5 star because of the name. The hotel is not fancy. The indoor salt water pool is small and shallow. There are 2 hot tubs outdoors which was pretty crazy to run to them in -20 weather! It was exhilarating. The staff is wonderful, welcoming and accommodating. The beds are large and the tub in the room is great, nice and deep. Rooms are clean with coffee maker and a safe but no fridge. There is an informative concierge who is approachable and consistently pleasant. There is a store with everything you need on the main floor. Nice lobby with a huge fireplace. While the decor could use some sprucing up and I really think fridges are essential, it is a nice place to stay and a fantastic location near old Quebec. Restaurants and small shops nearby. View is lovely. Great value all considering 😌
"Ambience & Great Service in a perfect Location to explore Quebec City"
We have stayed in the Chateau Laurier the last several years on a ski trip to Quebec City. One couldn't ask for better experience in a great location. The staff is very friendly, and the rooms and hotel quite high standard with al the amenities you need including a wine dispensing machine, a coffee machine, room refrigerators and coffee, a convenience store, restaurant and bar on premises. The hotel celebrates the history of Quebec City by having been constructed within a block of old homes along Grand Allee, with some more modern construction that blend sin seamlessly.
"What a great hotel in Quebec city!"
We did spend two days (one night) in Quebec City last weekend. Everything was perfect and the service was top notch! Fantastic room in the lovely hearth of Grande Allée street. Very nice restaurants near by and many things to do!
"Perfect location in the heart of Quebec City ,,,,"
Am always so very happy to stay here .... walking distance to everything .... Grande Allee, ,,, old Town .... Basse Ville .... and the St Hubert next door... very comfortable place to have dinner alone .. the hotel is truly welcome to conferences ... and my friends have been impressed with the amazing electronic wine bar .... which allows you to take a glass from your room to a vending machine ... and pour a glass of wine to take back to your room to help you relax or work ! so much fun !!! I have also been impressed by the garage with the hook ups for electric cars ... a hotel clearly ahead of the curve !!!
"Perfect Location to visit Quebec City - Great Service - excellent rooms"
We had a lovely weekend stay at the Hôtel Château Laurier Québec. It is ideally located in the heart of Québec City, on Parliament Hill. It is a 1 block walk to the Old walled City of Québec and just around the corner from fabulous restaurants on the lively Rue Grande Allée street. A MUST-EAT Dining experience. The hotel is also within 5-minute walk of historic district of the Old Québec. The rooms are nicely appointed with very comfortable beds and lots of pillows! .. The in-room appliances makes for a comfortable stay. The coffee maker for the morning and the hot water maker for evening tea or a hot apple cider. the refrigerator in the room was fantastic - it came in handy! Wifi in the room was complimentary as well. The indoor salt water pool is a great diversion for the kids and even an exercise room should you decide not to walk everywhere in the Old walled City of Québec. I didn't need to use the exercise room this trip as I got my steps in walking everywhere! But it is nice to know there is an exercise room available. ** Important travel TIP *** BE SURE TO ASK the Front Desk or the Concierge which restaurant they would recommend located around the corner on Rue Grande Allée, you will receive a suggestion of more than 10 - 15 restaurants and receive a 15% discount card for each individual meal. It was a nice surprise. Depending on your personal tastes, there is a restaurant waiting just around the corner, on Rue Grande Allée, for you on ! ( We had dinner at 'Louis-Hébert' which was FANTASTIC! I would recommend this restaurant. It is amazing!) I would recommend staying at the Hôtel Château Laurier Québec. It was very relaxing and fun! Great location!!
