Over Hotel Manoir Victoria

"What a lovely hotel, right in the heart of Quebec City history."

What a lovely hotel, right in the heart of Quebec City history and an easy walk to see Old Quebec, the Citadel, and the Chateau Frontenac. The hotel staff are friendly, the rooms are large and clean. They also have an indoor pool and spa. We were very happy during our stay.

"Very clean hotel!"

Great location! Great staff! I enjoyed my stay here! I would return in a heartbeat! My boyfriend and I enjoyed talking to this one older gentlemen that worked at the front desk. He was very nice and personable! He had on bright colored frames. He is a great assist to your hotel! The heated floors are a nice touch! I liked how they parked your car for you as well. It did cost an extra 22 a night though! Very clean hotel! The only major thing that bothered me was the mini bar in the room. They completely stock the mini fridge in the room with various types of liquor and beer and waters. It took up all the space in the fridge! We brought waters with us and we had no room to store them. If you are going to do that to people at least give them a bigger fridge so they can store their own waters, beer, or wine. A minor thing was all the homeless people out by the hotel. When we were packing the car one of them came up to me and starting talking french to me but I did not even make eye contact with him. The hotel is good about it though. I guess that is why they have valet guys!!! :) Another minor thing is the menu on the tv! It was very touchy! We would try to click french tv but it would scroll down to the bottom and not on what we selected. Overall, It is a great hotel with amazing staff. I would definitely stay here again! Can't wait to come back here :)

"Perfect location "

This is a quaint hotel located just at the beginning of the old city. Is at walking distance of the main attractions and sightseeing points ( 5 minutes from the Château Fontenac, the Promenade des Governeurs, la Citadelle, etc. The rooms just been renovated so you will find all the amenities including an espresso coffee maker with complimentary capsules. The best restaurant of the city is located at the hotel ( Chez Boulay ) Nevertheless is only one thing they should improve. The hotel access has a big stair that goes up almost one and half stories. We asked if there is an elevator, but it’s only accesible through the garage next door and you should ask somebody from the hotel to operate it. The other option is to access at the restaurant, but there is a construction at the street so it’s also complicated if you are in a wheelchair or with reduced mobility.

"Good Room, Good Location, Good Breakfast"

Stayed four nights over the April school vacation. Our superior room was nice and roomy with a 50" flat screen. Room and bathroom were spotless and bed was comfortable. Hotel is conveniently located just around the corner from Rue St. Jean which has a number of shops, restaurants, and bakeries. You are about a ten minute walk to the lower city. We had the buffet breakfast two mornings which came out to about $19.50 USD with tax and tip per person. This was a pretty good "Hotel" value. But you are only a couple of minutes walk from several other options including a Tim Horton's next door. The small coffee shop in the hotel was expensive, and limited. With many options less than 5 minutes walk, you can skip this. We particularly liked "Paillard" which was good for a light breakfast and to get a cup of tea at night. The main restaurant (Boulay) has a good reputation. We just did not get around to eating there as we liked to have the opportunity to get out of the hotel for dinner. Valet parking was $22 USD per day with unlimited in and out privileges. They park your car in an adjacent garage. One note: The main entrance has a fairly steep set of stairs if you have any issues or are pushing a stroller. I'm not sure what accommodations they have for that, so you may want to ask if it is a problem for you. Two nitpicking items: The shampoo was lousy. Bring your own. I booked on the hotel website, and I have found that I frequently receive an upgrade for doing that. No luck here even though the hotel did not seem to be full. I can't complain about that, but it is something that makes a hotel stand out when they offer it. All in all, would recommend to anyone for a few nights in a lovely city.

"Holiday trip to Quebec City "

An excellent hotel in Quebec City with good service and spacious rooms all in a warm cozy setting much needed after a day outside in the freezing temperatures of a Quebec winter. Breakfasts were calm and well provided and service very good indeed. One possible criticism : on entering the hotel there is a climb up steps to reception which may be problematic for some guests.
