"Really nice although tucked away"
We got upgraded due to some check in issues. Rooms were updated beautifully laid out, perfect for my functional & minimalistic modern tastes. Room was on 4th floor as another traveller suggested, not sure how much better in comparison to other floors but we liked it. It was not noisy despite the Blue jays winning streak & Rogers Centre up the street. Location made it easy to get around. We'd go back!
"heated bathroom floors gass showe and bath tub"
let me firstly say nice decor and maybe steve jobs fan because they have a huge photo of him in the lobby, staff is very nice, rooms are extremely spacious and bed very comfortable, the bathroom a winner heated floors bath and glass shower, their is a park closeby and also a drugstore just around the corner thats open late incase you need anything, its a modern look hotel room service is good their a wahlburger that caters to hotel and room service try the 8oz burger with the bacon , i forgot the name but its super gud, i also tried the chinese but its a bit on d EXPENSIVE side, the mini bar is nor to badly priced although the wine should be a bit cheaper a small btl for $28 canadian , i did try it and its ok but maybe you get a 3 glases out the bottle so better walk with your own, but all and all its a beautifull hotel a bit on d expensive side but i guess its because of location and well the rooms are a winner, what was sweet is the do not disturb sign its a button you press next to the light switch as you walk in the room and its shown outside so no paper signs, definately stay again and recommend. depends on you budget i guess also.
I love, love, love this hotel! It used to be my regular hotel in Toronto, but I recently had been staying at the Omni King Edward to be closer to a client. Although the Eddie is fine, I'm so glad I returned to the SoHo! First of all the staff are super friendly and efficient and you always feel welcome coming through the doors. The location is fantastic if you want to explore King West and Spadina and you are literally meters from Rogers Stadium and not much further From the Air Canada Centre. The rooms are not only pleasing to the eye, with light wood tones and modern design, but have thought of the little features that make life easy, like bedise lights for the entire room, iPhone lightening connectivity on the alarm clocks and remote drapes (also bedside). There is even an app available to control the TV from your phone. There are walk-in robes in all rooms and even the standard rooms feel spacey. There is standard room service as well as Luckee Dim Sum and Whalburgers, which should cover all tastes. The gym is also well stocked and includes a pool and spa The beds are super comfy and the rooms are generally quiet, although the ones facing Blue Jays way can get a little noisy in the mornings. This is simply one of the best hotels around!
"Best Value in the City!"
We were looking for a centrally located hotel, with better than average accommodations, in Toronto and this was the place! We were able to easily walk to the Rogers Center, CN Tower, Ripley's Aquarium, and the waterfront. Room was large, bed was very comfortable, and the staff was great. The bathroom floor was even heated! Two restaurants on site, and many others within easy walking distance. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone visiting the city.
"Staff members are so important!"
My husband recently took our 23 year old daughter out for breakfast and on a whim decided to try Senses Cafe. She has recently been diagnosed with Celiac Disease and the server Casandra in Senses was very knowledgeable, and very careful. Working with the chef, she assured my daughter that her omelet was being made in a different pan with different utensils to avoid cross contamination. What a relief and a comfort. My daughter was able to relax and truly enjoy her meal without the worry. That experience with Casandra so impressed by husband that he booked my 50th birthday getaway with the Soho. We just enjoyed a fantastic weekend in Toronto in your lovely hotel - room was stunning, spotlessly clean and the heated floors in the bathroom were a real treat. All staff were great but we ran into Casandra once again in Senses where my daughter met us for breakfast and once again she did not disappoint and truly looked after our special needs. Casandra is a true example of how great staff providing an amazing customer service experience can make a huge difference to the bottom line. I hope she gets some recognition because she deserves it.
