Over Emerald Lake Lodge

"Ski trip stay"
It was amazing! The fireplace was very cozy and the room was beautiful. The food was absolutely delicious!!! Thank you!!! I will definitely recommend this lodge to all of my friends that might be interested. The ski trails at Emerald Lake are awesome and we always enjoy using them. It has been our highlight every winter to ski at Emerald Lake. It was so much fun to actually stay at the lodge and have a night out and enjoy!!!
"Family Day 2017"
Let me start with saying we love Emerald Lake Lodge - it is one of our favorite places, for the scenery, meals and gorgeous lodge and a peaceful stay which is close to lots of outdoor activities, such as downhill skiing at Lake Louise, snowshoeing and cross country skiing in the surrounding areas. We were downgraded to a smaller room a few days before our visit. Our original Queen suite room booked in Oct was not available due to maintenance issues with the building. We were offered a lower rate accordingly and free breakfast each day for our inconvenience. Room 334 the end building was one we had stayed in on previous visits. We have reported these issues before but it seems they have not been addressed yet. All rooms have fireplaces but this one perhaps does not function correctly. The room smells like a campfire and all our clothes do afterwards. The bathroom emits a methane-sewer smell and we have to keep the bathroom door closed so the whole unit does not smell. Meals are fabulous and include gluten free options. Great wines and drinks. I ordered the Hiker's lunch which included gluten free bread and a delicious home baked gluten free cookie. Since we were at the end unit, there are a few hills to navigate to/from the lodge, it was snowing and we had warm temps, more gravel on the walkway would have made it easier/safer. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much and will be back again.
My husband and I stayed at the Lodge on Jan. 17, 2017. We left our room and the walks had not been cleared. My husband fell on the stairs and broke 3 ribs. Their first aid person was very casual and uncaring. We cut our holiday short, went home to go to the hospital. On checkout I asked the Assistant Front Desk Manager if they would offer us a free room to make up for the fall and the termination of our holiday. He said to contact him. So I emailed him when we got home and had been to the hospital. Not a reply. Well, guess what? I'm not staying there again!
Excellent experience overall except room was hot overnight and controls were not obvious. Emerald Lake and surrounding peaks are always spectacular!! Food and service was very good. Ice on steps was dangerous in the night.
good but Fix your cabin rooks thermostat problem. I heard many people complaining about how hot their cabins were. You seem to have Air Conditioning type thermostats installed, which means that when turned down to 10 C the heating is on MAX and does not shut off ! This will cost you on your power bill. I can solve the problem for you. Peter Fisher P.Eng 403-271-6234,
