"Yup - we were back - as this is PERFECTION!!!"

   22-02-2017
Just had another lovely stay at this hotel over the Family Day long weekend! We stayed here for 3 nights as we had a long weekend in AB and needed to get away, even if it's only a few days. There was no question we would choose to stay here. This is our home away from home in Vancouver. Once again, the staff delivered - perfection from start to finish. Check in was quick and easy. We were told they now offer a text messaging service where you can just text the front desk for whatever you need or want. What a great idea! We used it a lot during our stay! One night we needed more water - I texted, they delivered; another time was for some technical problems we had with the iPad in the room - we texted, they came and fixed it while we were out. I could give you many other examples but I think you get the idea - instead of calling and maybe have to hold, just text! Our room was large, clean and I think they had new carpets installed. I always love their huge marble bathrooms with the TV embedded in the mirror! The rain shower is always a treat. There is also a large tub if you like soaking after a long day shopping! The beds are heavenly - just the right softness for my liking and beautiful soft duvet - I didn't want to get out of bed! Everything in the room was clean and we never found any hair on the towels or the beddings. The room is equipped with just about everything you could want or need, including large number of plugs for your electronics. Of course, everything is controlled from the iPad in the room. In terms of restaurants, Oru is closed and I'm told a new restaurant will open in April - can't wait to see what it is! We enjoyed the food and drinks both at Giovane Cafe and the Lobby Bar. (see my separate reviews on these) Service is second to none. If you need a ride to downtown core - they do have a car service (BMW) but it is first come first served. We managed to get rides to and from the Canucks game one night and all the other times we needed to go somewhere but were too lazy to walk :-) Their gym is large and is equipped with state of the art machines. There is also a spa on site but I have not tried it yet (always too busy exploring Vancouver). The hotel is also connected to the Vancouver Convention Center across the street by a tunnel, so no need to go outside if it's raining. Great option if you're in town for a conference. We are already planning our next trip back!

"Superior Service and Accommodation"

I don't normally write reviews but the Fairmont Pacific Rim was a delight! The room was large and pleasant environment - the view of the mountains is a great way to start a day! I have a gluten intolerance and the hotel went out of their way to quickly arrive with special brownies during afternoon tea! There were many instances that proved that service was consistent and thoughtful! Many thanks Fairmount for a wonderful stay!

"Beautiful hotel in the perfect location"

This hotel is in the perfect location. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. It is very modern and comfortable. Stay here if you like music (loud) in the lobby and bar. Don't if you need a quiet lobby to meet with people. The view from the higher floors is amazing.

"The Best Fairmont in Vancouver"

   19-02-2017
Love Fairmont Pacific Rim so much, it is located right at the waterfront harbour, I woke up everyday with the breatiful seawall which is not available in Shanghai. Hotel service is superb, I was lucky enough meeting Patrick/ the famous lengend Ambassador almost everyday, he is so helpful, engaging and personal, which truly reflects Fairmont Services. Besides, the services at every corner in this hotel is consistent, guest name usage from the hotel staff was the impressive thing to me,Hannah the Guest Relations Manager, Paul at the Security, Amanda and Karina at Royal Service, Reha at HSKP, Heaher at the Lobby Lounge all treated me like their family, make me feel so cared and welcome. Had a manicure at Willow Stream Spa while my friend was out for business, feel really relaxed and peaceful. You have to try their most famous Sui Shi bar which is connecting with their lounge, you can not believe how busy this lounge could be, almost packed everyday. Hostess dresses very morden, to me this lounge must be the first choice of local people who feels like a drink after work. 8 days staying in the hotel was not long enough after such a great experience at Pacific Rim. I want to thank everyone in this hotel who madey stay there, will definately come back for another visit and the Pacific Rim will be always my first choice. Already miss you all, take care.

"Lovely luxury"

This is a great Fairmont property. We enjoyed our very short time there from the moment we pulled up to the front of the hotel until the moment we drove away. Everyone is incredibly friendly and welcoming. My husband and I joked that maybe they were too happy. We had a partial harbour view room on the 16th floor and it was fantastic. We had a great view of Five Sails as well as city views which made for great people watching. The room itself was very comfortable. there were two arm chairs and an ottoman as well as a desk and chair so lots of places to sit and enjoy the view other than from the bed which was also very comfortable. The bathroom was huge. There was only one sink but a huge counter, a deep tub and separate shower as well as a closed off toilet. We didn’t try the bathtub but the shower was very nice with both a rain head and a handheld that could be adjusted. You could also have the water come from both or just one or the other. The water pressure and temperature were also both good. I’m not a huge fan of the scent Fairmont uses in their bath products though. There’s a Nespresso machine with two different caffeinated roasts as well as a decaf roast. There’s also a kettle and tea. Real cream and milk can be found in the mini-bar along with all the usual suspects (beer and mini bottles of booze). There is plenty of drawer and closet space and nice robes, although they’re a little worn but still nice and white and cozy. For me, though, it was a some of the little extras that really set things apart. There was a little safe in the room which isn’t unusual but they had a little velvet tray you could put your jewelry on and the slippers were in his and hers sizes inside little bags (almost missed the slippers btw. They were in the closet next to the safe). And there were so many pillows on the bed and then two extras in the closet. I love lots of pillows so this was my heaven. Another nice feature is that the room is controlled from an iPad. you can open or close the sheers and drapes and control all the lights in the room and bathroom from the one iPad. I had a little fun with my husband when he was in the bathroom ;-) We had some food credits that we were able to apply to room service so we took full advantage. Service was very fast and food was good. Larger portions than I expected and pretty standard room service prices. We also tried Giovane’s and got pasta to take back to our room. Although the food was fine, I did feel it was a little overpriced for what it was. There are six or eight elevators and you need your key card to get to your floor or the pool or spa levels. Nice touch of security. You can also do self-park or valet park for the same ($49/24 hr) fee. The lobby always seemed busy and it was rather noisy but once you’re away from it, it was very quiet. We were only staying for one night but it was so relaxing it seemed longer. We’ll definitely stay here again.
