"Better choices around"
We stayed here for five nights and it was not the best but not the worst either. The room contained one bedroom with double bed, a pullout divan which was only a single and very uncomfortable, a kitchenette, washer/dryer combo, which took a minimum of 41/2 hours for one load, TV, dining table, full sized fridge/freezer. The room was big enough as long as you closed the divan each morning. Room cleaning was non-existent and I had to ask for clean towels. The room was on the street side and this made it very noisy. The bathroom was small but functional except for the fact that the exhaust was useless and steam from the shower fogged up all the windows in the room. The location was good with easy access to buses and taxis. The chap at reception was less than friendly on check-in. He made us feel as if we were cutting into his personal time, not a good start. The entrance to the hotel was very difficult to locate from the street with a 'sandwich' type board on the street only. Some larger more noticeable signage would be very useful. Free wifi was included but very bad in the room. The lobby was the only place I could seem to get decent wifi. Overall it was an average hotel, comfortable enough if you didn't have to sleep on the divan.
"THIS HOTEL MAKES ME FEEL AS I WAS AT HOME"
This hotel has everything you need near: 24hrs drugstore in front of, supermarkets, bakery, market of fruits, pubs, restaurants, etc. It is in a distance walk from English Bay, Robson Street, Canada Place and others interesting places. The apartment is so confortable with kitchen totally equipped, confortable bedroom and living, 2 television sets, good wi-fi, balcony and beautiful view of the city. Inside the hotel you have already an academy well equiped and a spa. The staff is very polite and extremely kind. I am loving to be here.
"Great location. Big city centre hotel."
Large spacious suite style rooms, with air con. Good location and easy to walk to English Bay and into city centre or catch a bus which runs pretty much outside the door. Only downside was pool wasn't open, which was a shame as it was really hot in city when we visited
"Wish I had never stayed here."
This was likely the worst hotel I've ever stayed at in my life. From the check in experience to the very last day, the best you could hope for was a sub-par experience. Checking in: disinterested front desk staff do their best to make the experience cumbersome and long, often just one person manning the desk. They preauthorized my card for the full 6 night stay + $400 for incidentals. I've never heard of this before. When asked for help with bags (we came as a family and have a toddler), we were pointed to a valet cart that we could get ourselves. Room: room was dated, at least a couple of decades without any updates. The room was dirty (previous guest's socks were on the floor). Smelled like cigarette smoke (which was the whole 20th floor because "less-than-savoury" characters tend to book this hotel). We wanted a suite hotel so that we could stay up when our toddler went to bed at 7:30pm, but, the bedroom was too small for a cot (which they did not offer, we had to get separately) and they had no bigger rooms (not no bigger rooms available, just no bigger rooms period). Facilities: Moxie's, the restaurant, was closed for the entire stay (even though it was supposed to open the day we checked in) so there was no room service. Pool was not open for the entire stay. Business Centre was pay per use. So sad. Parking: $18 dollars a day, so more expensive than surrounding lots even though you are a guest. They took my dry cleaning order and never did the dry cleaning and didn't even let me know. I had to call and take back the dirty clothes to get it done myself. I hope this hotel closes forever.
"Not for children, desperately in need of help"
This is a disappointing hotel. 1 The room in which I stayed 1502 was in need of some TLC. The bathroom door was water damamaged and the bath chipped. There were blond hairs on top of the fridge. I had booked a Quees Suite but instead was given a Twin suite, with no reason. The -on-site restaurant was closed. There was no mention of this on my reservation form. I would not like to bring young children to this hotel. This is not the fault of the hotel but some the clientele. I came across couples man and woman, but also same sex couples. Some men dressed in one piece rubber suits! The bed, however, although not what was ordered, was very comfortable.
