Over Inn at Laurel Point

"Brilliant in every aspect"
Came for the night representing my company, as a salesman for catamaran and vacation package service out of Seattle. We were here doing site inspections, reviewing our products that we are selling. Stayed in the new Erickson wing which was absolutely incredible. Suites had huge bathrooms, L'Occitane in room products, the BEST view of the harbour and much much more. While all of this was fantastic, perhaps the most important part in my mind was the service quality. Dawn is fantastic. The housekeepers and other back of house staff have been working there for 25+ years, which says quite a bit about the locally owned and managed property. Best experience possible. Call Clipper and ask for Jack and I'll get you set up here, you need to see it.
"Location, Service and Room #1"
From the first person who opened the door to the housekeepers, the staff at this hotel is friendly, down to earth and make you feel truly welcomed. The service is exceptional. You cannot beat the location: close to the downtown, but far enough away to feel that you are away from it all. I highly recommend the Erickson wing: the rooms are well appointed, spacious and the views are spectacular.
"Perfect hotel for a civilized place like Victoria"
My first impression of the hotel was seeing pure white building with a gorgeous garden and lawn on the harbor from the Victoria Clipper hydrofoil as we arrived from Seattle. At the dock they told me the Inn was a couple of hundred yards down a path by the garden. I didn't make the reservations and we were both surprised to see the inn was the white contemporary hotel surrounded by a perfect lawn and garden and a clear view of the harbor including taxiing sea planes. Just from the outside I would have picked it over any other place on the island. The desk staff was very pleasant and had upgraded our room with a better view and very small balcony. The room and hotel was meticulously maintained with very attractive art always in site in the halls and common areas. The room felt more European family owned hotel than a chain. Our room was a little small but a pleasant place to spend time with everything I wanted and tastefully done and a focus on the view outdoors. The hotel staff was very helpful in suggesting places to eat and how to get around. The location is a short walk from the center and also on a walking path around the harbor that is at least 6 miles including a walk out a breakwater that is probably a mile round trip. There is a bus line if you get tired. If you just want calm there is a Japanese garden with a pond in the rear of the hotel. The restaurant is on the expensive side but the food was outstanding for the breakfast and dinner we ate there. Portions were small but perfectly presented that was always enough but leaves you wondering if you would have eaten more. The view of the harbor fills the dining room. There is a place for outdoor dining if you are there on the year when summer falls on a weekend. May was a fine time to be outside all day but not so much for dining. I don’t think anyone who wants to be in Victoria would be disappointed staying here.
"Overnight stay at the Laurel Point Inn"
We were travelling with our little dog. Not only were we made to feel very welcome, but so was our pet with special bed, home baked cookies, water dish and doggie bags. It is our favourite place to stay in Victoria. Stunning location.!
"Victoria Day "
I was very impressed with thte Hotel. Beautiful view, clean and quiet. It is right off the sea wall by Fishermans wharf. The only thing is no hot tub, after all the walking it would have been nice to have a hot tub. The restaurant food was really good and service great!
