My wife and I stayed at the Summit while in Whistler. The hotel is perfectly located in the village as you're walking distance to the Olympic square and the Market. There's complimentary coffee and tea for guests. Enjoyed the hot sauna and outdoor hot tub. After checking out, I had remembered I had forgotten some valuables in the room. The hotel staff was very accommodating and I had my precious items returned to me. Looking forward to returning back to Summit Lodge.
"Just that little bit different.."
We have just returned from a weekend break in Whistler. Lots to do in Whistler and surrounding areas only disappointment was that the peak to peak was closed. We loved our room..the quirky feature wall, wood surround fire and tv unit, iPad and the use of is a really nice touch. The kitchenette was well stocked and even provided some goodies if you had forgotten anything all be it a t a cost. The toiletries were substantial..not little bottles you see at most places. Like the balcony you could walk out onto ...if the weather was good. Hotel centrally located. The stuffed sock monsters and rubber duck also added to the lovely touches this hotel provides. I was very partial to the candy at the front desk you could help yourself to at the end of the day. As this was our first visit to Whistler I cannot compare to other hotels but would definitely recommend and return to stay again.
"Excellent, Pet Friendly Stay"
Travelling with a dog, you may feel like choices are limited. Summit Lodge makes you both feel like valued guests! We arrived and discovered that our online reservation somehow had not been processed; the front desk agent quickly provided us a room at the rate we thought had been booked. She was very helpful and very patient. My dog's name was put on their VIP Board (Very Important Pooch) and received a towel, bowl, baggies and treats. My dog was afraid of the elevator, so the Front Desk team helped us access a stair well to use instead. The room was clean and had every amenity we required, including a full kitchen and mini fridge. The tub was fabulous for a soak after a long day, and the fireplace in the corner made the room cozy and warm. The hotel is located right in the village, so you have easy access to everything you need while visiting Whistler. Overall, this was an excellent stay for both myself and the dog. The team was extremely patient and caring of the dog, and made us both feel very welcome. I would stay here again and recommend anyone travelling with a pet do the same. The only challenge is their parking lot; if you are driving anything larger than a car, you may want to look at using a public lot at ground level. The underground parking is very tight and difficult to navigate, with limited spots available. This was the only issue during our entire stay.
"Loved the hotel, hated Whistler."
We really liked this hotel a lot, it's just a shame it's in Whistler which we found to be soulless and quite artificial. Anyway, the hotel itself was really nice inside - welcoming, clean and with a spacious reception area that smelled of fresh lemons. The staff were very friendly and helpful too. The room was immaculate and very comfortable but it didn't really have 'views' as such (you could just see tips of the mountains, if the clouds cleared). Each bed had a 'sock monkey' on it, that you could buy if you wanted, which was nice touch. There was also use of an iPad in the room which came in handy. We have no complaints about this hotel.
Great little hotel. The location is awesome as it is near the supermarket, Starbucks and other cafes. The walk to the chair lift is very manageable. The rooms were clean and nicely laid out. My wife enjoyed the stuffed animals in the room. The parking was a little tricky with a larger car but we managed. Would stay again.
